“It's not a cheap date, but it's a nice one. Skip the famous Caesar salad that's not even an Italian thing. Wines are great, the pastas are good. Loud acoustics, high energy, tons of staff. Only one asked us if we wanted another glass of wine. It is a different setup, counter service and table service combo. Ordered and paid and tipped before we were even sat. Wine bar gave you tastings of any wines you wanted to try so that adds a lot to the experience.“

“We ended up at Lozio Osteria Pizzeria Bar completely by accident. My friends and I were looking for a new place to celebrate my birthday, somewhere we hadn’t been before, and this turned out to be such a great find.

Honestly, all the food was absolutely delicious. The truffle fries were especially amazing. We finished them so quickly that we had to order another round.

We had bruschetta, a charcuterie board, Caesar salad, fettuccine bolognese, and carbonara, and everything was spot on. For dessert, we ordered a pistachio cake. The portions were perfect for a group of five girls, and we left happy and full.

The cocktails were also great, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

And the service really made the experience. Our waiter had such a great sense of humor, kept joking with us, and truly lifted the whole mood of the evening.“

“Was in town and wanted to try this place out, when I got there they told me they were only serving a Monday service menu. I was pretty upset because I wanted to try out the pasta but still went ahead and ordered and ate. All I can say is WOW! The food was amazing with great flavor! I would definitely recommend. It was my fault for not being aware of the Monday menu but I was still blown away.“

“Charming Greek/Italian restaurant in San Pedro. Very home-town vibe. Calzones are rich and tasty, but bring a friend or get a box, because they are bigger than your head! The crust is thin and the cheese is really melted well and the crust is crispy at the bottom . The place reminds me of a og pizza spot in New York. The owner was there as was his son. They prefer cash as compared to credit card and they are very nice. They deliver and I will try that . Parking is not very difficult and there are lots of different professional businesses in this area. It was quiet and not crowded when I went. Plenty of space to sit down. Some high top chairs and some sit down tables and you order In the front and they bring you the food. I definitely will be back and try delivery too“

My boyfriend introduced me to this little gem a few years ago and I can honestly say any other pizza I try since doesn't come close to the amazing taste that Jack's pizza makes. We're lucky enough to live 3 minutes away from this place, so we usually pick up and bring the pie home, but it's always piping hot and perfection every time. I honestly don't go anywhere else for pizza since my first bite of Jack's pizza, and I can pretty much guarantee you won't either. This place has been around for a long long time, I think somewhere around the 80's and I hope they stay around making magic in the kitchen for many years to come. “Amo Italia is a solid go-to if you’re looking for reliable Italian delivery in the South Bay. It’s a ghost kitchen on Hawthorne Blvd in Lawndale, so there’s no dine-in—just delivery or pickup—but ordering is very easy. They’re on all the major apps, and pickup is quick (you grab your order from a locker setup).

What stands out is the range of vegetarian and gluten-free options—it makes ordering for a mixed group much easier.

We recently ordered for a small get-together with kids and tried a mix of dishes:
• Spicy rigatoni – really good, probably the standout. Just eat it fresh—it can dry out if it sits too long.
• Pesto pasta , well-balanced, not creamy, nothing overly heavy.
• Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken – a hit with the kids, creamy and comforting.
• Mediterranean salad – fresh, well-seasoned, a nice lighter addition.
• Margherita pizza – simple and tasty, though on the smaller side. One person could easily finish it if hungry.

Portion sizes overall are okay, and everything arrived well-packed. We ordered through Uber Eats (Uber One helped a bit with savings), but pickup is just as convenient.

We’ve also tried their rigatoni vodka before—creamy and good—but this time the spicy rigatoni was the favorite at the table.

Overall—it’s just good, dependable food that works well for family meals or casual hosting.
