“Evan's is hands down one of the best BBQ joints around. Every visit has been spot-on — not a single miss! The brisket is absolutely killer, and that summer salad hits the spot (gotta balance out the meat and healthy items...right?).

For my birthday, my wife catered from Evan's, and they nailed it. One of the standout items was the smoked chicken, and let me tell you — the tray of chicken thighs they delivered looked like something straight out of a championship turn-in box.

Each thigh had a beautifully rendered, bite-through skin — a true pitmaster's touch — and the meat was perfectly juicy, coming clean off the bone without falling apart. Flavor? On point. Smoke? Clean and balanced. It was BBQ chicken perfection.

I would add a picture but that tray of chicken got hit like a trash can at midnight by a family of raccoons!“

Miraloma Ave. Young lady at the order counter greeted us immediately & was very friendly. Interior spaces looked clean & tables were kept attended as the busy Saturday crowd turned over. My wife & I decided to share a Sandwich Sampler as our first visit meal. I'd read good reviews about their brisket, but I found it to be of average quality & maybe overcooked. The sausage was slightly better in flavor & juiciness, and the turkey was very good. Overall a satisfying meal experience, and I'd recommend Blake's Place if you were craving BBQ.“

“We were recently passing through Pasadena and boy, did Yelp come through for us when picking a place to eat! Craft by Smoke & Fire in Old Town Pasadena ended up being the perfect choice. It was a beautiful evening and we opted to sit outside. We were lucky enough to have Stephanie as our server…and also lucky to be there during happy hour – you gotta love a 2 for 1 drink special! It was hard to choose between all the craft cocktails, but we ended up ordering Lulu Lemons which were excellent! I play mixologist when entertaining at home, and when I expressed interest in recreating this drink for our friends, Stephanie was kind enough to share the recipe! The menu is full of yummy Texas-style BBQ options made from locally sourced meat, and it was hard to choose. We landed on brisket grilled cheese with a side of mac & cheese (can you have too much cheese?!) and a harvest brisket salad. Both were so delicious. The outside table area was pretty full and although she was covering a lot of tables, Stephanie was knowledgeable when guiding us through the menu, super attentive and personable to boot! We look forward to returning…and to checking out their Anaheim location as well!“

“Tucked away in quiet street in busy Diamond Bar, behind the throngs of strip mall shops is a little Thai restaurant. The decor is calming and everything looked new.

Instead of a lunch special, I opted for a full meal and had plenty of leftovers. The Pad See You was excellent with chunks of chicken and flavorful. I also opted for the Beef Satay appetizer. However the portion was huge and dinner size at $15. I spent more than I wanted for lunch but had a second meal. Now that I’m closer to Mt Sac during lunch, I’m exploring all the options that busy Diamond Bar has to offer.

“Great drinking food. Got the lamb, beef, squid and pork belly skewers. The pork was my fav out of those 4. The fried milk was surprisingly good. We also enjoyed the enoki mushroom, grilled scallop, and cheesy corn. Love the atmosphere and decor.“

“Happened to be in the area. Stopped by , a little difficult to spot if you do not the place. Small parking lot on one side and a couple of handicap spots on the opposite side of building. With a ramp access to the entrance. They offer seating at the bar. Booth seating along with tables & chairs. The ribs were tasty with a good bite. Pulled pork was tender & juicy. The brisket was over cooked, little dry and to firm. Mac & cheese was hot , cheesy and lite. Mashed potatoes a little to salty. Tri tip was not available that day. Salad with chopped up cherry tomatoes. Baked beans had some personal spices added to get past the canned variety taste. They offer a big screen TV in the bar area. Public restrooms are available. The hours have changed to 4-10pm only. Lunch is no longer available with the buffet selection they previously offered. Just walk in and seat yourself. This would be more like a neighborhood spot. They are on the pricey side. Portion sizes are adequate.“

Drove by this restaurant and figured we would try it.The experience was one we will absolutely recommend, regarding both food and true Chinese culture. No where near what I was expecting.We had the lamb and also beef skewers and fried rice. An appetizer was brought out that we did not order, as it was included, which was right away different and tasted unlike any other soybean and peanut I’ve experienced. It was delicious!The lamb and beef was cooked to exact request and was also delicious!While we have dined at many Chinese restaurants throughout the United States, as we travel extensively and dine out regularly this surf past any, and all other restaurants, we’ve dined in for this type of food. Here’s the difference this was not Chinese food that has been Americanized in most Chinese restaurants. This was true Chinese prepared food.I truly believe you would have to travel to China to get this quality of food and culture.I will also say that we spent 3/4 of our time speaking to Cindy, whose father owns the restaurant which caters to home cooked events at homes, so this is not their primary source of how they deliver the product to the public. You realize very quick that this is not your drive-through, Chinese pick up takeout, that we are accustomed to here in the United States. Also, I tried their crunchy Gojujang fried chicken and beef ribs and they were delicious. “Me and my friend really wanted some Mongolian BBQ but there were no places within 30 minutes of our house so we decided to go to Red Peak given its good reviews. Let me say, it did NOT disappoint. The food was delicious and the service was even better. We noticed the other customers seemed to be regulars and it felt like a true family atmosphere.

We got the all you can eat plates and they actually encouraged us to eat more! They even stayed a few minutes past closing to serve us and make sure we were happy. We will absolutely be coming back and eating many more meals here!“

“I've tried Hainan chicken all my life, and this one is special. Portions are very generous. The chicken is very tender and cooked to perfection. The rice is incredible even it's just rice. But they Cook the rice in a way that's not very greasy like other places. Kind of dry and tasty.
We also tried the potato noodles since it's highly rated with other reviews. We ended up taking to go since it was just too much food for 2 is us.
Be careful online shows Xin Wang restaurant but the actual sign in front says Ana Wang Hainan Chicken. But it is the same. Don't know why.

“Saw an ad for Joey's in a travel magazine, and decided to try them. Ordered bbq beef ribs and chicken with sides on line. Got there at the pickup time and had to wait, as they were really busy. Did feel a little impatient having to wait, but when I came home with the food, it is simply some of the best bbq that I have had in some while. The food is delicious. No more going to any of those chain bbq places for me.“

“This is a soondubu (spicy silky soft tofu soup) restaurant like BCD chain. You can order combo menu with a meat or fish entree with a version of soondubu soup. You can select the spicy level and toppings for the soup. I thought the soup is really good but the meat dishes except for the LA rib were too sweet. Ban Chan (side dishes) were just average. For Diamond Bar I think this outlet is fine. There is plenty of parking in the shopping mall lot.
