“Everyone seemed to know one another here, and this can be intimidating for outsiders to walk into. BUT, we were welcomed warmly and made to feel at home. The food was delicious... Hit the spot after a day of hiking, but the service and vibe is what makes it. You find the best joints in strip malls if you're willing to give 'em a shot!“

“Such great food! So close to home. A real hidden gem! Worth the cost for such wonderfully prepared food. I could eat a bucket of that spaetzle that they served... so delicious!“

“Just a note to folks using other avenues of APP orders. Direct phone line contact might be your best resort since it is a Rual area of the basin. So before frustration sets in and you miss a nourishing meal.. Make the CALL.... ☎️“

“Came to town for a long weekend. We always bring our own food and cook and go out once on a road trip. We always look for Middle Eastern Restaurants, and Yucca Kabob did not disappoint. We ordered baba ghanoush, kafta plate and a gyro shawarma plate. The kafta was slightly tougher than I think it should have been, but it wasn’t dry and was extremely flavorful. We enjoyed the gyro and baba ghanoush a lot. The hummus that came with it was very smooth. We would come back and make the same order next time we are in town.“

“This place was delicious! My husband got the Al pastor and buche tacos, and he said they were some of the best tacos he has ever had. I got the chicken burrito plate and WOW, I love to see chicken so flavorful. The place was very clean and chill. Great service - we received our food very quickly. Highly recommend!“

“My favorite place in the high desert for pizza (and the only place that does Neapolitan style). Great, fresh ingredients, solid prices. Staff is always courteous, happy to help and quick with orders. Plus, there's a pool table if you order take-out and need to wait.“

“After several months, we scheduled a visit for Sunday brunch. The Staff was welcoming, the atmosphere was friendly, and the scenery was peaceful and calm. Our party of 3 was offered seats outside next to a fire pit near the first hole of the golf course and hesitatingly obliged. Although it was a bit overcast, the fire kept us warm, even in short sleeves. We enjoyed a nice Sunday brunch and would highly recommend this gem of a place out of the way, quietly awaiting those taking the side road from Vegas to L.A. Note: it closes at 3pm on Sunday, so arrive accordingly. We will definitely keep this on our list of safe places to get quality food at reasonable prices.“

“The food was phenomenal. The meat was juicy and the sauce really complemented the flavor. We got the coleslaw and it had an incredible texture and taste. The mac and cheese had a home style and authentic cheese. The bun as well as the hoagie were light and flavorful. The service was amazing. The employees were friendly and helpful.Dietary restrictions: Staff was knowledgeable and there were plenty of gluten free options.“

“Went in for a bite on my way home from work. Waitress seated us and went into the back. After a while it became apparent we had been ditched by her. A waiter with dark hair seemed to catch on to this too and introduced himself, mentioning he was new but completely turned out to be a blessing in disguise. This guy completely took care of everything and did amazing. Hope to catch him again!!!“

“The Western diner is the perfect little school around if you are ever craving American food in Yucca. Our family got a variety of sandwiches and wraps, and they were all delicious for lunch. The wraps were crunchy and had fresh vegetables with tender meat to go along with it, and the burger was juicy Greasy and delicious. I also got the peach iced tea, which was amazing because of the fresh fruit added on top. For dessert our family got the Oreo milkshake and it was smooth and creamy. Delicious!“

“Food quality and taste is always consistent at Aki. Not a fan of the lighting inside as it gives it a cafeteria like vibe for a sushi spot of this caliber. Should consider getting rid of the flourencent or led tubes and rely on recessed, or other ways to create a warmer atmosphere. Especially for dinner patrons. All considered, I highly recommend to all friends and family!“

“The restaurant was very nice. Reminded me of Mexico Rice, beans and sauce were good. Even the chips. But I was very disappointed with the tamales. Hard, tasteless, but that's bc they're store bought factory made. They were not fresh made Tamales. Nasty!! Waitress took our order and never came back till we were done and gave us the check. Oh well“

“I'm from Minnesota and my husband and I visited the Joshua Tree area in Spring 2023. La Palapa was recommended by a local and we tried it. I had the Vuelve al la Vida (Return to Life Special). I think it is supposed to be a cocktail drink but I ate it like a soup. Omg. It was sooo good! So full of seafood and the flavor was fantastic. We went back to Minnesota and tried to find a similar dish. Things were close but nothing was as good. Fast forward to Spring 2024. I happened to be back in the area to visit my sister. I couldn't remember the name of the restaurant so went back through old credit card statements to figure it out. Found it!! Went back and ordered the same thing. It was delicious! Did a to go order so I could gave it one last time the next day before flying back to Minnesota. My sister had the same dish and loved it. In fact, she told me they went back on their last day in the area to have it one last time. I deliberately did this review so I can easily go back again if I'm in the area!! Yum!“

“It's an old school diner. Stopped in for breakfast. Everyone was welcoming. Service was great. Food was home cooked. Pricing fair for what we ordered. I had the sausage patty and eggs with biscuits and gravy and home fries. Coffee kept coming. Definitely have cash because we paid with card and no option to tip and when we asked cash tips only.“
“Great food, good service. Amazing Manager and Chef. Simple decor but you're there for the food, the Thai tang. Manager and staff were very helpful with our complicated order and got us free iced tea when there was a mix up in our order while we waited a bit. Delicious.“

“Finally made it happen and had the most delicious organic lunch here, for the first time. Wonderfully eclectic & interesting crowd of diners. We had a table for 2 people and a dog within about 10 minutes on a Saturday. The service so friendly and helpful, we were offered drinks while we waited. A welcoming environment & great energy. Nice people, the owner herself and all who work there. Wonderful & cozy chic seating outside. Lots of well mannered dogs making the ambiance even that much more pleasing. This place has very talented & creative chefs. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Great service throughout meal. My hubby had the steak with grilled peppers while I had the most delicious Salmon Salad which was prepared with love & each ingredient such excellent quality. I think we were told our beef came from free range organic farm in Australia. The water they serve is from a local aquaphore and tastes excellent. If I remember correctly our desert was toasted parents with raspberries & a glaze that was uniquely tasty. We will definitely be back to this gem.“
