“'Twas good, fyi no more fish plank night on Monday. We had them $5 meat pies instead. The steak and potato and ground beef were good, the pork was a solid sausage patty that needed the curry sauce. The fries are excellent and they have curry and/ or malt vinegar.

Corn hole out back on the patio and a toddler play pen. Breezy views of Sloans' Lake with dogs made it a very nice date night.”

“Wonderful creative food and service as usual, but the new space is so killer. Don’t miss the seasonal savory funnel cake - so innovative and delicious. The Reuben is so so good, curry caprese and cookie were tasty — and all is well portioned! Staff is terrific and we loved being able to see the chefs work in the open kitchen. Plentiful free parking. Great also for a walk around nearby Sloan’s lake after a meal.”

“Jamie - it’s clear that everyone appreciates her, customers and coworkers alike. She’s friendly, even-keeled, and at ease, even in a rush. She’s wonderful and attentive. A clear multitasker, serving and behind the bar. I’d come back just for her level of service but the food is not to be ignored either. Definitely became one of my favorite brunch spots in the area, easily. Food came out fast, hot, and delicious. I sat in a seat for way too long and wasn’t bothered or pushed out. “Excellent service, staff always checks if I have a drink and if I want one. Very fun and energetic area. Views are great overlooking Sloan's lake. They are also very welcoming of a brewery . Beers are great , they do a good amount of collaboration which says to me that they are get along with other breweries in the industry well. Worth a visit for sure !”

“I've heard about this place for years. I finally ventured here when I was getting a tattoo done first time came with my artist who was doing my tattoo. This place is 100% #fatkidapproved, probably 99.9% sure this is the best pizza I've ever had in Colorado and that includes Beau Jo's and everybody else that says their pizza is good. It's not as good as this place. One bite and the Pizza Angel started to sing. I got their deluxe version pizza with the roasted red peppers I don't do green peppers they're not happy with me. Do you want the best pizza in town and you've never been here you need to go.”

“Went with a large group (19) and did mostly family style dining. The food was excellent and generous and the service was on point. Because of the party size, gratuity was included and was very reasonable. I had a fabulous Thai tea cocktail with coconut rum and my brother had Prosecco (his favorite). I rarely finish cocktails but this one was just well prepared and delicious and right sized that I did. Yay me! Yay, Lamai Thai Kitchen. Four thumbs from the Kraus family!”

“Truly the best sushi in Denver and one of my most favorite restaurants ever! I absolutely love the heaven Roll and the Taki black pepper tuna rolls! I have gone to many coastal restaurants that serve sushi and none of them compare to Shiso sushi bar! They also have some nice non-fish items such as the teriyaki chicken bowl, my friend had ordered that before and it was really good! They truly are one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. They take extra precaution for cleanliness, customer service and quality of their food and I appreciate that so much! I often times will order their food to go as well and it always is a hit! Their dining service is nice as well and there is quite a bit of parking which is always a convenient addition to any restaurant. The owner Ken is a great guy and always remembers us and truly appreciates his customer base. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and like I said it’s one of my favorites! It’s also very close to Sloans Lake which is the perfect activity to do before dining in, check them out!”

They are baked well and can have a crisp edge and softer center complemented by a copious dollop of frosting. On this occasion, we got the cookies and cream tres leches. It is delicious! The Lakeview Lounge doesn’t care about your apps, your IPA flights, or your precious little debit card. Bring cash, order your drink, and stay out of the way.

I asked for a Coors Light — and bless them, they poured it into a glass. Not a mason jar. Not a frosty mug. A glass. Clear, cold, straight from the tap. It hit exactly as advertised: like a liquid apology from the state of Colorado itself. Not fancy. Not ironic. Just beer the way it was meant to be — fast, cold, and consumed within earshot of a pool cue smacking chalk-dusted vengeance into a corner pocket.

The pool table in back? A survivor. Sloped. Slightly angry. You don’t line up shots so much as negotiate them. The regulars know the lean, the light, the curse words that help. Play at your own risk.

And then there’s that patio — a stone slab of outlaw luxury with a direct line of sight to modern America in four acts: bar, busy street, walking trail, lake. You sip your drink with traffic howling ten feet from your skull, joggers panting past in the distance with Bluetooth ears and haunted eyes, and beyond them all, the lake — shimmering like a lie you almost believed. There’s peace out there, if you squint past the madness.

Five stars. No flair, no plastic in your wallet. Just glass-poured salvation, a battered pool table, and the best damn view in the city. The Lakeview Lounge isn’t for everyone — just the lucky few who know exactly where to sit and what to order.”

“I fell in love with this place immediately, the empanadas were fresh, hot, and flavorful, made me feel like I was right by the beach where I first had my first empanada. I was very impressed by their flavors and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to bring the beach side home.these were by far the the most flavorful empanadas I’ve had. They definitely made me feel like I was right back in south beach Florida enjoying them by the waves. Highly recommend! Staff was also very friendly :)”

“Clean and friendly...good hot food. Some of the customers are not so friendly, they come in and treat the workers mean, and make messes in the bathroom. Maldonado is doing great as a manager trainee, and Sol and Isaura are fantastic at their jobs. Very courteous and friendly.”
