“We've lived in Vail part >> full-time for 3 years now and found this gem last week. And, WOW, I'm so glad we did. As a family of four, sometimes we need takeout which is a struggle in Vail and this place nailed it. The food was delicious. The price was appropriate. And, the convenience was awesome. Honestly, I was impressed across the board and am so glad we found it. No question this will be our go-to Thai / Chinese restaurant from now on.“

“Dining at Joy Sushi was, without a doubt, one of the most incredible culinary experiences we’ve had, and not just in Vail, but anywhere. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that made us feel right at home.
The sushi and sashimi were unbelievably fresh—each bite practically melted in our mouths. You could truly taste the quality and care that went into every piece. The rolls were not only beautifully presented but also incredibly creative. The combinations of flavors were thoughtfully crafted and balanced perfectly, and absolutely delicious.
We were especially impressed by how reasonably priced everything was, especially considering the high quality of the ingredients and the location in Vail. It felt like such a hidden gem, just a short drive from our hotel. We were so impressed after our first dinner that we came back again two nights later, and honestly, we would have gone all three nights if we hadn’t made other plans.
Joy Sushi has officially become a must-stop for us whenever we’re in town. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers such a consistent and exceptional experience across the board—from food to service to value. We’re already looking forward to our next weekend trip to Vail, and Joy Sushi will definitely be on the itinerary.“

“Swiss Chalet was wonderful. The place is so cute and has such a unique feel. The cheese fondue was delicious and our server Jackson made great suggestion of ordering meat like filet mignon and lamp chops to also dip in fondue. Really enjoyed it and would go back.“

“Excellent experience. I had the fish, it was like Arctic char, but had a different name. Very tasty. Also had an artichoke salad that was unique and excellent. Then they served strawberry cotton candy with chocolates! Then I had the three sorbets, with fruit. I got there early, so the atmosphere was quiet. The people were super friendly, including hostess, waiters, etc. Outside the restaurant is a piano bar, that was casual and cozy. I highly recommend this place.“

“2nd time eating here. Service was ok but not attentive. The lamb gyro was not what was expected. We think of gyros as thin slices of meat while what we got was shaped like a sausage. And it was hotter (spicer) than expected. The biscuit with the ham and hot pepper jelly was just ok, but smaller than the $6 cost would justify. The clam chowder was the only part of the meal that was above average.“

“The bbq pizza was the best pizza I have ever had. The waiter was a little under par. He just wasn't as attentive to us as he was others. We ordered 2 beers he only brought one. And when we said we wanted 2. He had a attitude. But then apologized right before he brought the bill.“

“From a wedding photographer's perspective, you really can't beat the Larkspur wedding experience! Stunning mountain views all around, an incredibly beautiful and intimate reception space, and can host one heck of a party! We recently photographed a wedding in the fall at peak colors, and WOW! The whole valley was ablaze!“

“On the receipt it said our server was Raul. He was awesome and made an iced espresso that my girlfriend thought was much better than Starbucks. The coffee creation was on the house… even the second one. The breakfast was very good and priced fairly. Because of it all, left a little over 50% tip and happy. Well done.“

“Stopped in a few months ago with my wife for a coffee dessert because all the coffee shops in vail were closed. We got the coffee flavor amongst others and were very impressed with all the flavors we sampled. All very high quality. The manager was super nice and even threw in a heftier serving of the coffee ice cream (at no charge) just to make sure I got my caffeine fix given the circumstances. We also ended up talking to her for a while and it was very refreshing to meet a manager who actually cared about her customers beyond just making a sale. We’re not from CO but we will definitely be stopping in whenever we’re in the area. Highly recommended.“

“Very cool and hip place to hang out in Vail Village. Comfortable seating and friendly hosts. The Duck and Mushrooms Quesadillas were wonderful, and happy hour drinks were a good price. It's not a bad place for a hole in the ground.🙂“

“We made this our special dinner for our time in Vail...and Elways did not disappoint. I had the short rib, and it was literally the best I've ever had. Fall apart tender, great tasting au jus, awesome creamy horse radish sauce. We also had the halibut. Not cheap...but the food, service, and atmosphere were perfect.“

“Awesome experience. The food was delicious, the place had lots of windows, so you could see the amazing show falling and a beautiful architecture while having a meal. Went the with wife and two daughters (3 and 13), we all love it. Service was fast and helpful. The food was not only really good, but it also looked fantastic.“

“Excellent mexican food. Their queso is made in-house and is so creamy and tasty.
Parking: The restaurant is in one of the hotels and parking is not available unless you are staying at the hotel. However, there is parking and a garage, but it is a bit of a walk.“

“Me and my family visited Gessner last weekend for dinner while staying at Grand Hyatt. The ambiance is really nice, very classy with those mountain views, but the food was a bit hit and miss :(
We ordered the chicken breast, which I was really looking forward to. The meat quality was good, no doubt, but it was lacking that punch of flavor. it felt a bit bland, like they forgot to add something.
My wife got the pesto pasta, which was better, but still too dry for our liking. It had good flavor, but needed more sauce to make it perfect.
Service was excellent.
The presentation of dishes was nice, though, and the place is super clean and fancy.
Overall, it was above average.“

“We stopped by the Fitz Bar + Bites after the concert at the amphitheater. They (Vail) were also hosting the Jazz Festival so they had an exceptional jazz improv going on. We snacked on cheese bites and other munchies while enjoyed the outstanding music. What a phenomenal weekend of talent, music and food.“

“Was great to find Bully Ranch during Vail's off-season when it seems 90% of restaurants are closed. And what a great find! Service was prompt and super friendly, food was delicious and prices were... well it's Vail! So $150 for dinner wasn't a big surprise! Ambiance is great!! Rustic cowboy with big picture windows looking out on a beautiful patio that is under repair. It was a great evening and we'll be back! Hey, they have pizza!!“

“La Tour is our favorite restaurant in Vail for a special family dinner. We go there on anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays. We went last night to celebrate Father's Day. As always, the staff was welcoming, kind, and caring -- including the busperson, our waiter, and the owners, who personally greeted us. The atmosphere is lovely. The food was excellent and obviously prepared with lots of care. We highly recommend La Tour.“
