“My expectations were exceeded! Cozy restaurant which was not noisy. Good menu selections which were not overworked. Just the right ingredients. We had the salmon and the skirt steak with shrimp. Both meals done to perfection. Wine list had quality wines that paired well with the meals. If you love biscuits be sure to order some. You won't regret it. Service was right level of attention and we didn't feel rushed. We had enough of a pause between courses. Give them a try. You'll enjoy it!“

“We have been looking for a new 'go-to' place in Ft Collins, and this is it! We out regularly, and this was the best meal we have had out in a long time. The salad and soup were herby nutty, and well balanced, and the Prime Ribeye was perfect. Even the fingerling potatoes had a charred-grilled twist that we hadn't experienced before, and loved it. The wait and cook staff were the best! We look forward to coming back soon.“

“I love this place! There are so many yuppie restaurants in Fort Collins, Ever Open Cafe is a nice, throwback, greasy spoon diner alternative to them. No gimmicks, no virtue signaling, no out of touch nonsense. Just a good place to get affordably priced American food in a laid back, comfortable atmosphere.“

“Went here on a double date and had a pretty good experience overall. The restaurant was clean and smelled great, but it was surprisingly dark inside — even though it was still sunny out, the lighting felt a bit too dim for our taste. The food was excellent and tasted super fresh, which almost made up for the higher prices. Drinks were definitely on the expensive side compared to nearby spots. That said, the service was friendly and attentive. If you're okay with paying a little more for great quality food, it's worth checking out.“

“bad service but we like the chicken and ribs so we order take out. tonight we had a salad in our takeout which was awful and full of previously frozen and wilted lettuce. Called to speak to a manager to let them know to check their salad. on hold for 20 min...then they picked up and hung up on me. 3 strikes you are out. incredibly poor service for a guest service industry. and now after posting I do NOT recommend, this posts as I recommended...haha. do yourself a favor and stay away“

“It's a 😎 joint. The bartender was rushing us, and when you have a hundred beers, you need some time. I ordered my mac and cheese with no hatch chilies. He said they could make that happen. It didn't happen. The chilies were cooked in it. However, I asked for a hot dog cut up and mixed with the M&C, and they did that. Hubby loved his Ruben and fries. They use rice oil to fry foods. Hubby can't have soy oil; he was super happy about that“

“We had a party of 5. Wasn't any problem getting service or a seat at 4:30/5:00 on a Saturday. Service was above and beyond (maybe too much attention) and the food is always good here. The atmosphere was nostalgic because of the artwork on the walls. I actually brought a car here for a repair estimate way back in the 90's when it was a filling station. Overall really good experience.“

I had the grilled salmon, which was delicious, and my husband enjoyed the Hanks Hot Honey fried chicken. For drinks, I had the Mule-Berry, which was made with vodka, strawberries, lime, and ginger beer. It was refreshingly balanced, not too sweet, which was a nice surprise. Their food is great and their support of local artists through their block party event is fantastic. I had the privilege of meeting their owner a few years back when I was driving for Lyft and got a ride request from him when he needed to go make sure their Prospect location was locked up properly after he received notification that a door was left open. he tipped me very generously and it was genuinely a fun ride. It never surprised me that the atmosphere of MCHC had the same fun appeal whenever I ate there. I am definitely gonna visit next time I am in Fort Collins!“
