“This has long been a favorite and lately it just seems to have gotten better. My wife and I are there weekly enjoying dishes like Chicken Skewers or a salad with salmon or shrimp added. My personal favorite is the Kobe Burger with bacon,arugula and garlic aioli. Delicious and my favorite burger in Fort Collins. Be sure to have pommes frites with your burger. Wonderful frites and highly addictive. The food is always good and the staff friendly. An excellent place for lunch or dinner“

The salad and soup were herby nutty, and well balanced, and the Prime Ribeye was perfect. Even the fingerling potatoes had a charred-grilled twist that we hadn't experienced before, and loved it. “I just got off my flight to DEN, drove an hour and a half, arrived right before the kitchen closes at 9 pm. They served me and made me the highest quality bison short rib that a man can ask for. I enjoyed how soft the meat was, the carrots, the potatoes and topped it off with ice cream/cookies. Definitely worth the food.“

“Let me first say, Lauren, our server, is phenomenal. Her menu knowledge and friendly nature made for my first visit here a wonderful experience.

Next, the food and drinks! Our bartender made the best, most fresh espresso martini I have personally ever had, rivaling some other speciality bars here in FoCo. Our corned beef and hash was excellent— hot, spiced and salted, and plated with care. No weird fringe of fat on the meat, the potatoes were crisp yet tender, nothing left our mouth dry or chalked, and the preserves served with our toast balanced out the savory meal with the light sweetness of a fresh compote rather than a jarred jelly off the shelf.

My partner recommended the Emporium based off of his first visit there alone and I know I very well can do the same. Come early and on a weekday for a quiet ambiance, professional and kind service, and delicious food. Come at happy hour for amicable chatter, friendly conversation with your server, and delicious dinner food.

“I can't believe we had never been in. We read about the fried Gouda and had to come see it in person. I suggest getting an extra cup of dipping sauce. The gentleman next to us was so impressed, he ordered himself some. The taps are so plentiful that even several tapped kegs didn't stop us from getting something we really liked! We found parking, and a seat at the bar with no wait, on a nice Sunday afternoon in FoCo. That's something, already! The potato was pretty full, so they were busy! “First and foremost, Penrose is one of our favorite restaurant when we have guest over from out of state.
Son’s graduation knowing it will be 25+ people, called and asked to reserve the back patio, so the younger children can run out and play- due to the recent “delayed winter” we encountered, called to asked for inside dining- let me just tell you- with the amount of people both servers done an ABSOLUTE AMAZING job, juggling a loud crowd, orders and drinks. I highly recommend this place for bigger parties. I was just shocked that it was taken up from all the graduation going go. Glad we were able to snag it. With a large group- it’s harder to make it out the door. Although they’ve closed, there was NO rush for us to leave.
Food was amazing! Brussels Sprouts and lobster roll is my go to and NEVER DISAPPOINT. I’m a Moscow mule snob and very picky with the ginger beer.. IT’S DELICIOUS!

“We come here all the time, this will be the last time. I called at 12, party of 11 people, I was told to call back at 3 for a reservation at 4pm and talk to a manager. The manager told me they don't do call ahead on weekends and they also will not move tables together so my son's birthday party will need to sit at separate tables. Once we arrived they sat 4 separate parties that came after us. They then told us they would not seat us until more staff comes in, for 11 people. They went to seat us at 2 separate tables after waiting for 20 minutes. We then requested the big table in the back that sat all of us comfortably, and we are not small people. This was a joke. 2 of the steaks were inedible they had so much seasoning on them and my plate was drenched in oil. Horrible experience and manager. also there was a 10 month old puppy at the table next to us, sitting in the bench and barking. seriously disappointed. we have eaten here for years and sadly will not be back, we will drive to the one in Thornton“

“I recently moved away from Fort Collins so I am going through and leaving reviews for all of my favorite eats places. MCHC is god-tier! Their food is great and their support of local artists through their block party event is fantastic. I had the privilege of meeting their owner a few years back when I was driving for Lyft and got a ride request from him when he needed to go make sure their Prospect location was locked up properly after he received notification that a door was left open. he tipped me very generously and it was genuinely a fun ride. It never surprised me that the atmosphere of MCHC had the same fun appeal whenever I ate there. I am definitely gonna visit next time I am in Fort Collins!“
