“I literally can’t believe how incredible the food was. This is what casual Chinese used to taste like back in the day. It was as if I was a child tasting boneless spare ribs and crab rangoon for the very first time.. The spare ribs were charred and tender and the rangoon was made with actual crab as opposed to the typical “crab flavored” cream cheese. The pork fried rice was also remarkably flavorful with large cubes of pork and perfectly cooked onion. Those who have complained about the food specifically must be miserable Karens. This is my new favorite casual Chinese spot. 10/10“

“China Garden is my go-to spot for Chinese takeout in Branford! The food is delicious and the portions are huge! As a vegetarian, I love the availability of tofu as a protein option. General Tso’s tofu is my absolute favorite. The staff are very kind and warm too.“

“So this amazing place was recommended by a friend from Madison and it did not disappoint! Authentic Szechuan in a beautiful room with high ceilings and soothing decor and music. One dish was better than the last and you cannot get this quality anywhere locally as far as I've been to. Go for yourselves and enjoy. My husband isn't a huge fan of Chinese food but even he loved it! We got Rangoons, chicken fingers (amazing!!!), steamed dumplings (delicious), honey chicken combo, kung po combo, chicken wings, steamed broccoli, and egg and spring rolls (for four adults) - serving sizes are enormous and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! Everything tasted very high quality 👌👌however, my one criticism would be that each dish had a little bit too much of one quality- the soup noodle was a little bit too sour and takes getting used to, the other noodle was a bit dry, and the cucumbers were very refreshing but a bit too sweet for me. I highly recommend the spare ribs here. My child always says that the ribs from this restaurant are the best they’ve ever had, and I completely agree. The fried rice and noodles are also excellent—everything we’ve tried has been consistently delicious.
What really made me happy was the service. The woman who takes orders remembered me, and when I made a mistake with my online order, she called to confirm the details. That personal touch truly meant a lot to me and made the experience even better.

They’re hot and Sour soup is the best I’ve had in the area hands-down however it is very spicy so if you don’t want it spicy, ask them to alter it. For years, Foliage had been my go to spot for delicious Chinese takeout. Their food is always fresh and well prepared as well as easy and understanding communication provided by staff.

It’s shocking why Foliage has bad reviews because everytime I order, the food is clearly fresh and never over or undercooked compared to other Chinese restaurants in New Haven or east haven.

If you want great Chinese food at great cost and timely delivery for either yourself or the whole family, Foliage is your best choice!“
