“We originally had a reservation across the street, but it turned out that they were actually closed so we ended up at Bank Sports Bar and are we ever glad we did! We were looking for a place to stop to get beers and a bite to eat before attending a concert nearby. When we walked in there were more than 65 in the bar and the vibe was exactly what we needed. Quickly we noticed there was one bartender behind the bar - ut oh. Right? Nope. Britt was truly amazing and this place is lucky to have her. We never went without a drink; she was attentive and kind. Turns out there was one person in the kitchen, too - AJ. Our food came out delicious and hot. All of the respect to these two. We hope to be back soon!”

“We celebrated our marriage here. A small party of 22 people. Everything was perfect. The owner and servers were great to work with. The food is always excellent. Try the ostras con mofongo!

Update 8-31-25: We came back for our anniversary. We enjoyed the chaufa, house salad, steak skewers with yucca, saffron vegetable rice, and the fried plantains. They remembered us from last year and wrote happy anniversary on our dessert plates (tres leches cake and the churros). It was special and delicious as always.”

“My wife and I walk to this place all of the time. I especially like the chicken soft shell tacos. Because the shells are good and sticky (not everyone's preference, I know), and the ingredients are of high enough quality, and so well-prepared, that they don't have to over-douse everything in salty sauces to mask the awfulness, the tacos stay together well. They are also reasonably hearty tacos--not thin, not overpacked. In short, this is one of those places that understands that well-wrought simplicity is the best approach for this kind of cuisine--great for a quick, satisfying meal. The service is efficient and kind, too!”

This is one of those hidden gem places you bring a friend to. The crab rangoons are made with some kind of thin flaky crispy coating. It’s genuinely S tier. I feel like the cooks here actually take pride in their work and aren’t just doing it for money. It’s so damned good omg. The lady is hella rude sometimes but she could literally slap me in the face and I would still come here.”

But I was in need of some white rice and it's so good and soft the way they make it. I got a large size and also a side of dumplings. The dumplings were really good. I always love the sauce. I need a container of that stuff. They were fried perfectly, the dough was a good consistency, the filling flavourful. I'm using the rice to make my own little sushi wraps later, the rice was soft and sticky, just like what i wanted. The lady at the register was nice, took my order with no problems. They have tap-to-pay also, which was a plus. Sign said minimum seven bucks to use card. The interior is I guess what you'd expect. Not the best, but not the worst I've seen. Street parking was easy for me today, mid-afternoon in a Saturday. I'd go back.”

My favorite vegan dish is Bean Curd Schenzuan style with brown rice and a large order of plantain and two spring rolls comes to less than $20 and that meal last me for two dinner days I only eat once a day so $20 to eat beautifully tasty cooked food for 2days is a steal... I will continue to support them unless they raise pric3s too,high above my budget but I,have been eating there for 9-10 years and they are consistently fair and delicious... Hope that helps.”

“Our table of four was outside and it started to drizzle, our waiter was attentive and asked if we wanted to move to a covered table. We did. We ordered 3 apps, sides of garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli, and a 50 oz tomahawk ribeye with sauted mushrooms and onions for the table. Ribeye perfectly med rare! Apple crips and cappuccinos round out the evening. There was live music and lots of chatter but we had no problem carrying on and hearing our own table conversation. Food and service have been consistently good. This is the fifth time we have had dinner here in the past year. Definitely will back.”

“Last night we were there for an early Birthday dinner for me! It's been a long time since we've dined at Ralph 'n' Rich's, but I will say that our food was delicious, & the service was superb! Brittany was our server, & she was awesome! I can't recall our busboy's name but he was great with bringing bread to our table, & refilling our water glasses as needed. I had the baby arugula salad special to start, & it was so tasty & the perfect beginning before having an old favorite of mine, linguine with white clam sauce. My hubby really enjoyed the Spiedina Romano which is a kicked up mozzarella appetizer that if he fully polished it off, he wouldn't have ate his Chicken Piccata then tangerine sorbet afterwards! Don't worry, we brought home leftovers to enjoy! Topping off things was a surprise singing of "Happy Birthday" when my tartufo came out! Reservations are strongly recommended especially for dinner, but Ralph 'n' Rich's is a gem that's had staying power in Downtown Bridgeport for many years. Go there & enjoy!”

“Met a dear friend from New York at Bloodroot for lunch. From the street the outside looked small, plain and not very interesting. As we walked through the gate to the “side door” we were greeted by the water view and a lovely outdoor seating area - for another day, too chilly today! We stepped in the door and were immediately welcomed by Noel. From that point on, we were cared for and fed by Noel and her amazing cooks and kitchen staff - thank you Carol, Lailla and Yordanos. The food was excellent, the decor of vintage tables & chairs, hanging rugs off the rafters (one designed and hand woven by Noel) and lovely photographs on the walls, was both elegant and homey. We wandered the book store and bought their cookbook. What a wonderful experience to share with a dear friend. I highly recommend this amazing restaurant experience to all those who love vegan offerings and enjoy an intimate caring environment. Excited to return soon.”

“First, to call SOB a hidden gem would be doing it a disservice, per all the five-star reviews! The better term is off the beaten path, but undoubtedly worth a purposeful trip. I am admittedly a bit of a sandwich snob, and Michelle's porchetta special did NOT disappoint. As a matter of fact, she was so genuinely charming and sincere in her description of it, that all three of us ordered the exact same thing, and the full-size grinder at that. This was a BIG sandwich, even by my standards, and the components were all top-notch. Somehow, the meat was still juicy and tender, even sliced thin and griddled on the flat top. The provolone was melted nicely, and the marinated peppers had just enough bite to balance the richness. She gave us a cup of au jus for dipping as well, which was greatly appreciated. Taste and value aside, Michelle may just be the start of the show. Her hospitable kindness and welcoming spirit made the food even better, to the effect that we were already planning our next visit before we even left. SOB is the real deal, thanks again Michelle, BPT is lucky to have you!”

“It was our first time going to this restaurant, my husband saw it on instagram. We were in the area so we grabbed a few quick things to go to the beach. We got their empanadillas which is meat with cheese and alcapurrias (and one of yuca), it all tasted great. My husband also got chicken soup and he liked it. There is street parking and it is to order and go. The people were very nice and patient as we decided what we wanted. The food area looked clean and they were also cooking in the back, bringing fresh food to the front.”

“I still recommend this place even though yesterday I had a bad experience. I placed my order and had to wait more than half an hour... I saw the attendant acting really awkwardly... laughing all the time like she was sort of into "something"... the situation was chaotically embarrassing cos around 8 people were waiting for their orders and she was practically just walking from one side to the other laughing and trying to call attention to herself. I curiously approached the counter and noticed that my order (along with others) were just standing at the counter for a long time and nobody bagged them nor called my number to let me know it was ready... 😳... my chicken was already cold... 😡. That was my only bad experience so far cos all the other times never have I had any problem. The chicken and everything else are really good but sometimes the service sucks.”
