“My husband and I tried Bora Restaurant for the first time last night. It was excellent!! The food was delicious, the decorations were beautiful, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, all of the staff that we encountered were young but surprisingly all so very well mannered, polite and very nice!! Our waiter was Alton, he did a wonderful job and always addressed my husband as Sir. We would definitely recommend this restaurant!!“

“Wife and I went out to dinner and as usual food was on point. Base menu is always good and they always have a seasonal menu of great options. I tried the smoked old fashion and it was a home run. They put on the whole show and smoked the drink right at the table. Definitely not a disappointment. They always have seasonal drinks and come up and ask how they were. “To start with, I love the thick menu! I love that they give the back stories on the local products/farms they use. And the plethora of options make certain that both my husband and I can find something we like no matter what we're in the mood for. It's also nice to go to a restaurant that has more than the same 6 things everybody else has and to know those items are made with locally sourced products. I can end with a cupcake made from scratch which also supports another small business instead of something premade from the same manufacturer everyone sources their desserts from. It's a win for me!“

Now THIS is my kind of place.

A short walk from the Appalachian Trail, Bull’s Bridge Inn has that old-school, dark-and-cozy tavern vibe I love. An actual bar, booths, plenty of tables, low lighting, and a crowd that runs the gamut—from locals and nicely dressed tourists to backpackers who just wandered in off the trail. Somehow, it all works.

And let’s talk about the open-faced steak sandwich with shoestring fries. Get it. Seriously. The kind of meal that makes you stop talking for a minute because you’re too busy eating.

It has character, it has atmosphere, and it doesn’t feel like it’s trying too hard to be anything other than a really good old-fashioned inn and bar.
