“The food was honestly really good. I ordered the bok choy ginger with chicken, my dad had the Japanese curry with shrimp, and my mom got the shrimp teriyaki. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned.

The only drawback was the fruit flies. There were a lot of them, and it took away from the overall dining experience. If it weren’t for that, this would’ve easily been a 5-star stop.“

She was so sweet and even introduced me to her father, Herb's who recently turned 95yrs old about a week ago. I was welcomed by the whole staff and I had such a wonderful server named Dawn! “LOVE THIS BAKERY!! Our first time in Mystic and we stopped in just for a coffee, ended up leaving with half the store! The almond croissant is amazing. The salmon sandwich is a must have, and the coffee is very good. During a road trip we made sure to bookend the trip at Sift. The ordering process is swift and efficient, and staff was friendly and relaxed, even on a very busy Sunday morning. I look forward to coming back very soon! “Ahhh…Niantic. Restaurants here do not need to work hard because Niantic itself is a joyful place. My Chicken Teriyaki dinner ($18) was excellent. Moist chicken, lovely presentation with broccoli florets ringing the chicken, carrot rounds (perfect) under the chicken, just the right amount of sauce and jasmine rice. A small salad with delicious dressing although it had that baffling watery quality and miso soup that was lukewarm preceded the dinner. My companion had the excellent Thai rice with chicken. The high top was wobbly. That’s the worst thing you can say about the experience. So easy to fix. I had the generous ginger martini, my partner enjoyed the Sam seasonal. It being Saturday of the Niantic Light Parade, we had an excellent view of the festivities-hence a 5 star atmosphere. In daylight, from our table, one can see the Niantic Bay. The young host attempted to shim the bottom of the table. Our server was pleasant. The loud blond server was not. It’s been a minute since we’ve visited The Spice Club. It’s worth another trip next time we’re thinking of Asian Fusion or Sushi.“

Here’s how it all went down: 1️⃣ Wood-Fired Wings (Buffalo) - $15.95 BOMB! 💣 Eight perfectly wood-fired wings- crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with buffalo sauce that hits just right. The blue cheese dressing deserves its own shoutout 💣😎 2️⃣ Oma’s Real Meatball Sandwich- $17.50 BOMB! 💣 These wood-roasted, hand-rolled meatballs were full of flavor and smothered in rich pomodoro sauce, tucked inside toasted rustic bread with melted provolone and parmesan. It comes with potato chips and a fresh crunchy pickle. 3️⃣ Small Mango’s Mozzarella Pie- ½ Mozzarella/Funky Monkey- $19.95 💣 DOUBLE BOMB! The cheese half? “I discovered this place when looking for a restaurant with some vegetarian options for a family member after visiting the Book Barn... and now every time I'm in the area, I make a point to stop here to grab food. I live a fair distance away and it's always worth a trip. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and decently priced, and the restaurant itself has a cool vibe. The pulled pork gordita and burrito are favorites of mine and my partner. I'd definitely recommend coming on a warm spring day and eating outside (maybe with a book from the Book Barn!).“

“Love Ballo but really disappointed with how much the menu keeps changing. They charge now for house bread and took off the garlic bread. Got rid of shrimp scampi. Now got rid of chicken francaise which was Amazing there and our go to. Also used to have an amazing cheese and meat platter appetizer and that was removed. Wish some of those would be put back on. With so much change there really isn’t anything appealing to me now. This was our spot for anniversaries, birthdays, and lots of date nights.“
