“One of my all time favorite spots . Hands down beats all the local competition for seafood . Drinks are amazing ?? Two favorite’s are coconut shrimp app ? and seafood boil combo Reels catch seasoned garlic butter the flavor is great and seafood is fresh not too mention the atmosphere of the Resturant , the waitstaff are very pleasant and seems to enjoy the work they do & knowledgeable on the seafood . It’s def an experience , so if ur ever in the area I suggest u stop by u won’t be disappointed .“

“This truly is all around the best-tasting Chinese food I’ve ever had. I’ve never had such good rice. I always get mixed vegetables in brown sauce. Nicest assortment of vegetables of anywhere I’ve ordered it from. I’ve gotten basically just broccoli and water chestnuts at other places - but here at ming garden there’s broccoli, carrots, zucchini, and mushrooms, etc. It is so fresh and it tastes really good. I get vegetable fried rice with it and it’s just so well made. The lo mein, fried rice, skewers, anything we’ve had has been great. My mom has gotten many assorted and it is now her favorite place as well.“

“23 bucks for a platter piled high with fries and strip clams. they fried the clams right and didn't skimp on the portion. The place is counter service, which I always appreciate as well. It is a little out of the way, and has a definite Independent proprietorship vibe of a place that's been around for a few decades, which I appreciate.
I would come back and bigly recommend it to anybody in the area, as far as shacks go, it's the best one I've been to in the Hartford area.“

Great teamwork behind the bar. The food Experience at the bar matched that of the dining room experience. The bar and restaurant was busy but Alex, Carlos and all of the staff hustled and the food was hot, tasted wonderful and of course left me wanting desert. If you have not visited this establishment, you are missing out. This is our second visit here and we are absolutely in love with this restaurant. From its eclectic decor, super attentive staff to its fabulously fantastic tasting tapas and entrees....where do I truly begin. The owners ( Rob, is always stopping by to say hello and check in) are visible and make you feel welcomed, my waitress Alyssa was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. “Last night was my first time at Portobello Restaurant and as a local HS Culinary teacher, this spot is INCREDIBLE. Although small, the atmosphere is cozy with top tier hospitality. And the food? “Last week my family and i had dinner at Flair which is one of our favorite restaurants and Hector the owner told us his family bought Fratellis. We said we would come in this week snd try out the new restaurant. We had told Hector the we loved clams casino and he remembered and even though they were not on the menu he brought some to us from Flair. They were excellent. We also had the best chicken dish ever which was called chicken fratellis. It was very obvious that Hector and his family bent over backwards to ensure our experience was amazing and.......it was. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a fabulous meal and feel that you are appreciated. Thank again“

So next time you go, make sure you ask for Taylor, but if you’re a regular, you already know how nice she is, but for those who are looking for a good place to eat or get a little tipsy, see if Taylor is there, also a quick little secret is to TIP GOOD! But yet again, make sure the best bartender is around, but don’t worry, the others are good too, if I could leave Taylor a 10 out of 5 star rating, I would!“
