“Food was excellent and very healthy. I had the chicken and broccoli combination platter. It was some of the best I ever had. Chicken was nice and tender and very crispy. Broccoli and carrots were very delicious. Definitely will be going back. House of Chao is my new favorite Chinese restaurant. Would recommend to anyone who is passing through the Westville New Haven area and looking for good quality Chinese food ??“

“So this amazing place was recommended by a friend from Madison and it did not disappoint! Authentic Szechuan in a beautiful room with high ceilings and soothing decor and music. One dish was better than the last and you cannot get this quality anywhere locally as far as I've been to. Go for yourselves and enjoy. Somehow we received cheesecake and chocolate ganache cake for dessert complements of the place! Even better!😂“

“We’ ve been going here since my kids were younger I will say 20 something years! I never had any complaints about their food. Very busy place since they’re closed to Yale New Haven Hospital but they manage to serve your food fresh all the time and no more than 20 minutes wait. Best Lobster sauce combination, with Tostones! Crab Rangoon with sauce! Chicken General Tso or sesame seed orange chicken. Lunch or Dinner“

“The food was overall very delicious! Everything tasted very high quality 👌👌however, my one criticism would be that each dish had a little bit too much of one quality- the soup noodle was a little bit too sour and takes getting used to, the other noodle was a bit dry, and the cucumbers were very refreshing but a bit too sweet for me. I would still highly recommend all of these dishes though !!“

“We love our Chinese food! I will say I agree with other reviews about the rude woman taking orders, but we will deal with that for his delectable food. Wah Chun was a gift in our mailbox from heaven. Some of the specials (please please please put coconut shrimp back on the menu!!) Were no longer available, but what was absolutely amazing. Sweet and Sour Chicken was obviously fried right before delivery. Hot & crispy. Hunan specials, to die for, General Tso, hot, fresh, and delishious. Boneless spareribs were hot, fresh & tender. Combination plates were great & gave kids two choices & an egg roll. We obviously spent close to 100 dollars, but it was so worth saving up to get it. Call restaurant directly and order delivery from their delivery. Driver is wonderful,really fast & kind. We can't wait to try other things. All I haven't said is " Yum"“

“For a quick bite, Blessings II Go is fine.The food isn't the best Chinese takeout option in New Haven, but it is hard to beat their service and prices. This is my go-to for a quick bite at a late hour in the State street/East Rock area. For a vegan option, I recommend the Homestyle Bean Curd.“

“I have been ordering from this restaurant for probably about 15 to 20 years and right now I’m not driving. Usually I will go pick my food up in order to ensure it’s freshness and all of that stuff because I’m a real stickler however I’m glad I didn’t allow for the negative reviews to discourage me because I placed my order for something that I’ve been craving so badly and everything arrived fresh everything was hot. “Definitely one of the my favorite Chinese food in New Haven. One of the freshest and very good tasting Tostones, Rice, Egg rolls, General Tsao's, Boneless spare ribs as well as many more. Even though, My mom and other family members don't have the best digestion sometimes when it comes to Chinese food, they never have a problem here, ever after years of being a customer.No problems with the customer service.“

“I've gotten food here a few times, it is my go to for chienses food. I literally tell everybody about it. I'm obsessed with the egg fried rice and I am consistently craving it. Add an egg roll and its perfect. Literally such a nice sweet place with great food.“
