“This is by far the best pizza place anywhere in Connecticut ANYWHERE. I have never had a pizza be this constantly good anywhere else in Connecticut which is surprising coming from a place so close to New York. The service is always great lovely people, and ambience feels as if I'm in a basement with friends eating home made pizza pie.“

“One of the creamiest, yummiest icecreams I have had in US. I normally don’t rate 5 stars easily but this place definitely deserves for my love of icecreams and their quality. They make fresh icecream on their farm and they are open only certain months of the year, so if you are in the area when they are open, don’t miss this one.The place is beautiful in summer and you will love to sit on one of the benches and enjoy an icecream or two with your loved ones“

“Med Salad is awesome, and there are so many fresh options to add/delete if you want. Having all the options on hand at home would be tough, so it's worth the splurge. On time with pickup and very fresh. I'm glad I tried finally as I live in Newtown.“

“I had the tuna poke bowl. It isn't a bowl and was a little small, but it is just an appetizer, so not surprising. It was delicious! Some friends had the hawaiian salad; everyone liked theirs. The desserts (creme brulee and banana egg rolls) were delicious. And all of this sitting outside by a babbling brook. The Foundry is one of my favorite area restaurants. I can't wait to go back!“

“Omg! I just tasted a "winter shrimp egg roll wrapper" and it is to die for! The shrimp are huge, well cleaned, stuffed with vegetables and the sauce is delicious! So fantastic! This is the most authentic Thai food ever! And we are so blessed to have it locally! You have to come here!“

This co-owned establishment has split the management, one owner on the front end with the other being head chef in the back and it is reflected in the quality of everything they do.From the highest of standards reflected in their sourcing of the ingredients and the preparation of the food all of the way to the service, accomodations and atmosphere I sincerely couldn't say nicer things. “The Barnwood is our go to for occasions as well just to eat out. The wait staff are very good . Our orders always arrive promptly, and as ordered. In addition to a well rounded menu there always are wonderful specials. We have never had a meal that we didn't like. The chef is inventive and steps outside of the ordinary with fish and meat selections. The only negative is that the acoustics are dreadful making it noisy when the restaurant fills up.Also the tables for two are small.“

“We were unaware of the business hours and walked in 10 minutes after closing and were told that they had just closed. As we were turning out, the owner went above and beyond and still offered to make us the two bacon, egg & cheese sandwiches we had wanted. The owner was extremely kind and we had great conversation with him. He told us this would be the best bacon egg & cheese we would have and he did not lie! The food was very good. He even gave us an additional crumb cake on the house as well. Overall experience was 10/10, we appreciate it very much & will be back! “
