“The employees at the North Haven store are always friendly, helpful and fast. I've never had an issue or mix-up with my order and the cookies, as always, are scrumptious. I particularly like their rewards program . “It didn't take long for us to realize that JCakes had to be the bakery to make our cake. They had the most flavorful and moist cakes and their fillings and frosting were to die for! They also have talented decorators who were able to create my dream wedding cake.

We were able to choose different cake flavors and fillings for each tier, which was helpful since we loved every single flavor we tried at the tasting! The final product was as delicious as the samples we had tasted and as beautiful as we imagined! I am still getting compliments on our unique and delicious cake!

My wedding cake was included with my venue's package, so JCakes charged what was included to my vendor which was the majority of the cake, and I paid for any details that were extra (one of the cake flavors and fondant design).

We highly recommend JCakes for any occasion, but they are the ultimate bakery for wedding cakes!“

I explained how many people I was hosting and that I didn’t know what or how many to order. They were unbelievably patient with me and told me they would take care of it. And did they ever!!!! “My husband surprised me with a Princess cake. I mentioned I’d love to try one after seeing it in a baking show. He searched online and Marjolaine’s was the only place he could find. He drove over an hour to pick it up and it was well worth the drive! We just picked up a Dacquoise. This one was a request from our daughter. We tried a smaller version that was in the case. It was absolutely delicious! So light and airy and the flavor was divine! We are driving this cake all the way to NC and are 100% certain that our daughter will be thrilled ! We are heading back in the beginning of April for a Marjolaine for our daughter in law. It is well worth the trip!!!“

“This is by far some of the best desserts I have had! 5-star desserts. Everything about the items were thorough and well executed. The Vietnamese coffee is the best I have had. Had to order two! They have a very organized system so wait time is short. There is a little bit of sitting inside and lots outside. Definitely recommend this place! Worth it!“

“So I went over a friends house for dinner and he had a Lupi's Bread on the table, Looked great. Tasted better. He told me about this little bakery in New Haven at 169 Washington Ave Lupi's Marchigiano Bakery. I went the next day for another Bread where I met Larry Lupi a true gentleman. His grandfather started the Bakery in 1900 when he came over from Italy, and now is being run by Larry and his brother Peter. So If you want to taste a little piece of heaven, stop by Lupi's and for a few bucks you can.

“Elizabeth's Bakery now has some GF items. Today I tried their GF blueberry muffin & brownie. The muffin is amazing! It didn't taste GF at all. Lots of blueberries, not overly sweet like some GF baked goods; great texture -not gummy at all; and a wonderfully big muffin like it's gluten containing counterpart. The brownie is soooo fudge! It is not gummy at all. Tastes just like a gluten containing brownie (well at least what I remember them tasting like). These are so much better than any GF brownie mix & better than any recipe I have made at home. It's been years since I have been able to purchase a great tasting GF item at a bakery. Thanks Elizabeth's Bakery for including a few GF items on your menu.“

I’m terribly sorry that you lost a star but that matcha brownie tasted absolutely disgusting. Never again will I buy it!!! Sorry sweetheart but it’s lacking sugar. However I do love the sweet cream filled bread you sold me. Thank you very much for helping me figure out what I want for breakfast tomorrow. Lastly, the cream green tea cake was absolutely divine. All this from being served by an incredibly gorgeous and really cashier/manager who I had to tip handsomely. I’ll definitely stop by on payday to give their specialty caffeinated drinks a try.“

One of them was a pudim and I could feel a little taste of egg but nothing that takes my 5 stars away! I am going to be back for sure to try other sandwiches and desserts“
