“This place is a real gem. The atmosphere is great, but what really shines here is the menu (food & drinks) and an exceptional level of service you'd expect to find in NYC or Boston.

Food: Great balance between classic & modern techniques. I'm a carnivor and there was plenty to choose from but my wife is vegetarian and she was impressed by her options.

Drinks: Well thought out cocktail menu. A Wine List that will have your jaw hit the floor PLUS service staff who can talk about pairings, know when to offer decanting service and top off your glass at the right moment.

Dessert: A dedicated menu with a range of bites AND a full list of drinks including trendy dessert cocktails, stomach settling digestifs from Europe, as well as a comprehensive list of dessert wines you can order by the ounce. Perfect.

Service: As professional as I've seen in CT. Diligent without being intrusive, prompt without feeling rushed. Amazing attention to detail.“

“This review is for the Danbury Location. I have been going there 5-6 days a week for past 5 +/- months. I had a routine. Order on the App. Coffee protein drink and either a wrap or salad. Always greeted with a smile and thank you when I walked in. The price was good for Always having consistant quality with the drink and food. Made the way I wanted it. Fresh, never wilted lettuce and ingredients. I knew what I was getting and always the same. I stopped going to other places around area because I was sick and tired of my 1/2hr lunch break eating garbage, never made the way I ordered it, or getting the wrong order in bag. Nice crust, just enough toppings and again, that sauce! Fried calamari was tender & crispy. 6 nice size shrimp in the cocktail. If I had anything to complain about it would be the cocktail sauce was a bit wimpy for my taste. More horseradish, guys! “We are beyond thrilled that we chose The Redding Roadhouse for our wedding! We wanted a non-traditional celebration, and the team here brought that vision to life seamlessly. With 135 guests, we opted out of a sit-down dinner and instead had heavy cocktail hour stations all evening. The flow of the space made it so versatile - guests could sit at a table and enjoy a meal and conversation, hop on the dance floor and grab a corn dog on the way through the bar, or relax at a picnic table with lawn games. Even without assigned seating, there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the evening exactly as they wanted.

The venue itself is stunning, and the upstairs bridal suite was perfect for our large wedding party. About 15 of us comfortably got ready there the morning of the wedding, and it set the tone for a relaxed, fun start to the day. Our ceremony on the large lawn was beautiful, with such a picturesque backdrop for our vows. For the reception, we tented the outdoor patio as our dance floor, which kept the energy flowing all night, while the fire pit gave guests a cozy spot to enjoy the music without being in the middle of it.

Dietary needs were handled with so much care. We worked with both the chef and the event coordinator, Kristina, to create delicious vegan options and thoughtful accommodations for guests with more severe allergies. The bartenders were fantastic, keeping the line moving quickly all night and every cocktail was spot on. Our guests were so impressed, and we felt completely confident that everyone was taken care of. No one left hungry!

On the night of the wedding, the event staff was incredible. The space stayed spotless, stations were always full, and the service never skipped a beat. Kristina went above and beyond during planning too, helping us design a unique floor plan, rearranging the restaurant to fit our stations and décor, and even transforming the general store into a candy bar and bakery counter.

We can’t recommend The Roadhouse enough for any private event. Beautiful, flexible, and supported by an amazing team, it was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding and create memories we’ll cherish forever.“

“Vesta was wonderful! I came with a couple friends for Sunday brunch and I will definitely be back to try dinner sometime. The restaurant is lovely with such a cute atmosphere. My biggest gripe is that it was a little hard to find the entrance, I actually went through La Zingara but thankfully the bartender there sent me the right way.
The restaurant is small but very cozy and clean looking.
The brunch is pre fixe and I ordered a Bellini and later tried their passionfruit rooftop seltzer. Both drinks were huge! The seltzer in particular was really nice and I would like to try the other flavors. For starters, my friends had the salad while I opted for the soup of the day (corn chowder). They were all very nice.

For our mains, I went with the chicken and waffles, while my friends ordered the sweet potato skillet and the breakfast pizza (minus the sausage). Everything looked fantastic! The only hiccup was that the pizza came out a bit undercooked, but our waitress was super accommodating and happily brought it back a few minutes later — the second time, it was perfect. The chicken and waffles were amazing! It had a good sized piece of boneless breast with a nice crunchy well seasoned crust sandwiched between two waffles with this wonderful bacon jam. The waffles on their own were very sweet, almost like they were crusted with sugar. But when eaten together with the chicken and bacon jam it was perfect. My friends also loved their dishes. The breakfast pizza was huge (she took half home!) and the crust was great, while the sweet potato skillet was hearty and flavorful.
The only weak spot of the meal was the dessert course. I had the Nutella crepe, and my friend had the chocolate gelato (the only other option was vanilla; no sorbet that day). The crepe was very disappointing. It was small, cold, and didn’t taste fresh. It just felt thrown together and barely had any nutella. The gelato was better, though I thought it was a bit icy in texture.

Overall, I really loved the vibe here and thought the food was great. It’s a charming little spot that would make a wonderful date or special occasion restaurant. I’m already looking forward to coming back for dinner sometime!“

“First time ordering here but we were all tired & no one wanted to cook & this was nearby. I was scared to order after reading some of these reviews. But we were all pleasantly surprised. Yes it’s standard Chinese fare but it was good. There was a lot of meat in every dish we ordered (Lo Mein, chicken chow Mein, pork fried rice, sweet & sour chicken) and it was perfectly cooked. I didn’t care for the fried wontons but everyone else liked them. Wonton soup had plenty of wontons and was yummy. Loved the sweet & sour chicken - very lightly fried so it wasn’t heavy & dull. We all voted we would go here again.“

“To start with, I love the thick menu! I love that they give the back stories on the local products/farms they use. And the plethora of options make certain that both my husband and I can find something we like no matter what we're in the mood for. It's also nice to go to a restaurant that has more than the same 6 things everybody else has and to know those items are made with locally sourced products. I can end with a cupcake made from scratch which also supports another small business instead of something premade from the same manufacturer everyone sources their desserts from. It's a win for me!“

“It’s like chipotle but WAY better. Better ingredients, better quality, better portions. Soda in the fountain is all real and organic made with cane sugar. Bottled soda is authentic glass Mexican soda. We love it here. And right next door is a great health food smoothie place that makes delicious Açai bowls!“
