I usually get the enchiladas huertenas because I can't decide if the mole, red sauce, or green sauce is better; they are all equally wonderful. So are their tender, flavorful tamales. even their chips & salsa are a cut above. Pickup during the pandemic is fast and painless, which we appreciate.“

I was immediately served chips & salsa, the salsa was served in a nice mini craft which was a nice touch but unnecessary. The chips were thick and i was told, after asking, that they were made in house which i doubt. I ordered a 2 product meal called a Tijuana. I got a pork enchilada and a ground beef tostada. The pork seemed slightly burnt and overly seasoned, the tostada was fresh and crispy, unlike many other mexican restaurants of this ilk, and the rice and beans were staus quo. The plate was extremely hot which always makes me think pre-made and microwaved. Overall I enjoyed my meal and time here but it wasn't anything much different than most of the non-independant mexican restaurants I've been to.“

“My current top hidden gem for amazing and authentic Mexican food. Hidden in La plaza del Mercado, this spot has the most amazing tripe soup, where the tripe was properly cleaned, no funky taste/smell, cooked perfectly tender. Great caldo de res as well, the meat was tender and had a strong beef flavor, soup was light and refreshing and the veggies provided a nice natural sweetness and the squash was incredible inside. Their tacos are great as well and their pricing is a bargain and their portions are quite good.“

I know that ground beef dishes aren't necessarily authentic but there is a way to keep the meal authentic with ground beef and I dont think this restaurant followed that code. Beautiful meal presentation.. Everything was very tasty but seemed a little lazy. Sour cream in packets, No homemade much of anything. Regardless, great meal. Marinated pork and ground beef tacos and a ground beef enchilada. I enjoyed my meal but it didnt stand out as anything special.“
