He prepared and plated each entrée meticulously, holding all three plates behind the counter until they were perfectly finished. Only then did he bring them to the table, showing clear pride in his craft.

Brittany was our server, & she was awesome! I can't recall our busboy's name but he was great with bringing bread to our table, & refilling our water glasses as needed. I had the baby arugula salad special to start, & it was so tasty & the perfect beginning before having an old favorite of mine, linguine with white clam sauce. “Our table of four was outside and it started to drizzle, our waiter was attentive and asked if we wanted to move to a covered table. We did. We ordered 3 apps, sides of garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli, and a 50 oz tomahawk ribeye with sauted mushrooms and onions for the table. Ribeye perfectly med rare! Apple crips and cappuccinos round out the evening. There was live music and lots of chatter but we had no problem carrying on and hearing our own table conversation. Food and service have been consistently good. This is the fifth time we have had dinner here in the past year. Definitely will back.“

“5 ⭐️We went here to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from Sacred Heart University. Their location in Trumbull near the college was over an hour wait. Found out there was a second (original ) location in Stratford, On the phone they told us to come right over, they were waiting for us. When we arrived they welcomed us with open arms, were super friendly and super attentive. They treated my daughter like a super star. The food was delicious and the cocktails were so creative and tasty. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.“

“I visited Captain’s Cove Seaport recently and honestly, I didn’t expect it to be this beautiful and relaxing. It’s not just a marina—it’s a full experience. The place has a warm, small-town coastal vibe with an amazing view of the boats docked along the harbor, people enjoying fresh seafood, and live music playing softly in the background.

Walking along the wooden boardwalk feels like stepping into a postcard. The area is clean, well-maintained, and has that calming scent of the sea. It’s family-friendly, yet also perfect for a chill solo trip or even a romantic evening stroll. There are little souvenir shops, casual restaurants, and spots where you can just sit, breathe, and watch the boats.

I went around sunset and the lighting over the water was just magical. I highly recommend timing your visit during the golden hour—it completely transforms the place. If you’re into photography, you’ll love it here.

The only thing I found slightly disappointing was the price—some of the food and drinks felt a bit overpriced for what you get. But overall, the atmosphere and experience made up for it.

“Once again last night you did not disappoint me. Food was great, Service was great, Drinks, well, Espresso Martini, I can drink them all night. I don't have a unpleasant thing to say. Was there with some friends of mine and their daughter who's back from school for a long weekend. No pictures of food, you know what your food looks like. Probably 50% cheaper than some of the restaurants a little further down the Post Rd in Fairfield Center that I drove by. I never feel rushed at your place. Family Flamez Restaurant in Fairfield, CT, is the best Jamaican Restaurant in ALL of CT.
I bought a medium Oxtail with rice and peas. After the first bite, I don’t know what happened, because the plate was empty in a flash. Luckily I bought a Festival and I used it to wipe up every last bit of the gravy, it was that good!!!
If you’re ever in CT and looking for authentic Jamaican Cuisine, Family Flamez is the place to go. Sorry no photos to display because the food was gone before I knew it. Compliments to the Chefs!!!!“
