“I’ve been visiting this plaza for almost three years and never thought to enter this place until today. I initially wanted bubble tea and remembered that I saw a flyer of theirs advertising such.

I went in with $10 cash with intention purchase one but left with two, paying with my card as they came it a little over $14.

I got the crème brûlée milk tea with extra boba and peach tea with mango popping boba which the staff recommended to me.

The ordering process, paying and receiving the teas were all within 5 minutes.
The staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was quiet and inviting.

I am not a fan of raw meat but if I do become one I’ll try this place first.
Until then, this is my new bubble tea spot.

“I’ve driven past Philly Grill in Waterbury many times and kind of second-guessed it, but it really surprised me. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with fries and it was amazing—full of flavor, fresh ingredients, and the fries were perfectly cooked. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and my food was brought right to my table. Great service and even better food. Definitely coming back!

Update: I had to come back after how good my first visit was. This time I ordered the lamb and beef gyro with fries and it was absolutely delicious. The lamb and beef were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right, and the lettuce, tomato, and onions were fresh and crisp. Two visits in and they’ve been consistent with both quality and flavor. Can’t wait to try the wings next!”

“The best Golden fingers compared to others, it tastes and looks like actual chicken! Egg rolls and fried rice also always fresh and flavorful!! Staff is always friendly and orders always ready on time! Not my fav style for the crab Rangoon or the boneless spare ribs, but also not bad. I just prefer my rangoons more cream cheesy, but these were still really good. Soft center crispy outside perfectly cooked and not too greasy! Had a yummy chive? Flavor!”

“1/11/2025 Hello, it’s the picky eater again, I just wanted to share a few things in reference to one of my favorite takeout places in Connecticut. I treat myself to wonton soup with five extra wontons and a small house fried rice about once a week. So, after traveling, shopping and visiting family on Sunday, my husband and I decided we didn’t have the energy to cook dinner. Our first choice was Mona Lisa, in Waterbury( we are going to try the Family takeout menu for the first time ) but they were closed for vacation. So we opted to go to New Moon Chinese Resturant . As I have mentioned in some of my previous restaurant reviews, when I come across something that I enjoy , and the restaurant is consistent in how they make the food, and the food has plenty of flavors and choices, I usually frequent the establishment multiple times. My husband and I ordered takeout . This is what we ordered: one large wonton soup with five extra wontons, one large house fried shrimp and chicken rice , one general T’so chicken meal, fried chicken wings, and shrimp egg fu young. $49.00 plus tip. I enjoyed my regular picks Wonton soup( I add a lot of spinach, a boiled egg and rice to my soup )🍲. This was perfect for me. Everyone also has to keep in mind that I am a very finicky eater. But, I do try to go outside the box every now and again to try something different. I ordered the general T’so chicken. I do have to say it looked delicious, but it didn’t make the cut for me. I also don’t like foods that I have to chew for days. The general T’so was too salty for me and the meat was very stringy. I have to give that one a thumbs down. The fried chicken wings were good on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give them an 8. I cannot personally comment on any of the food that my husband ate, but, he did say it was delicious and he had it the next day for lunch. general T’so chicken did not do well with reheating, it was extremely hard and chewy the next day. The house fried rice and the wonton soup 👍🏽 all day long.
I also will continue to get my regular large wonton soup with five extra wontons and a small house fried shrimp and chicken rice. (I usually get three meals out of this one order.)😋”

“We 4 ladies came from Michigan to attend a celebration, honoring our pastor: Apostle Fred Harris. This was his hometown. Attendance in Connecuit, church Rock of Ages, Bishop James Holly. From there, this beautiful Sunday (9/14) we ate at Pizza Castle Resturaunt. No complaints! The staff was nice. Our server was excellent, in spite of the customers shw servied! 17 of us alone at our table. Food: Excellent!”

“Stopped in on our way home from DC and had a fantastic dinner - the snow crab was outstanding. Nice, big pieces of meat that slid right out of the shell with virtually no struggle. Good sized shrimp, and the sausage, corn and potato were great too. Super friendly (and fast) service. What a pleasure it was to take a break from our almost 12 hour drive (thanks to traffic and crappy weather) and spend some time relaxing here with good food and great people. “Writing this review as much for the restaurant/cafe as for sibling business next store, the commercial espresso repair business also operating under the name Cafe Italia.

I found these guys looking for a specialist to rehab a commercial Nuova Simonelli single-head machine we use in our retail showroom. And I came to the right place!

Incredible workshop and know-how. These guys have full lathe and CNC capabilities to make their own parts as needed.They've also got a direct lines to Italy to order parts direct and I wouldn't bring my machine to any other place for service.

Good honest old world excellence -- highly recommend the repair and service aspect!

But I also got to experience the restaurant/cafe when picking up my machine after it was serviced. Feels like walking through a portal directly to Southern Italy. This place had incredible coffee and more authentic atmosphere than most other cafes this side of the Atlantic.

Stand at the counter and order an espresso -- worth it!

Stand-up family business. They're super busy so we were lucky they were able to take our repair. They even came back for a housecall after we experienced a later issue with the machine that was totally unrelated to their work -- small bit of sediment from the city waterline clogged a valve. These guys came in like a NASCAR pit crew and tore the machine down, diagnosed and fixed the issue, and left w/out accepting a dime.

Recommend their repair service 10/10.

“9.2.23 we got married at our hometown fair grounds and had Frankie’s cater! It was PERFECTION!! Everyone was blown away when they found out that’s what we were having for food, so fun, and who doesn’t love hot dog and burgers (especially FRANKIE’s)?! There was only a couple cooks/servers and MAN OH MAN did they crank it all out! We had around 160 people and they had a line as soon as the food was out, serving up all the goods in such a timely manor. They cooked and served for about 3 hours.. it worked out SO well, many had 2nds and 3rds, plus we had left overs 😍. Everyone was RAVING! we couldn’t have had it any better, Thank you guys SO much!”

“We 4 ladies came from Michigan to attend a celebration, honoring our pastor: Apostle Fred Harris. This was his hometown. Attendance in Connecuit, church Rock of Ages, Bishop James Holly. From there, this beautiful Sunday (9/14) we ate at Pizza Castle Resturaunt. No complaints! The staff was nice. Our server was excellent, in spite of the customers shw servied! 17 of us alone at our table. Food: Excellent!”

“Although they messed up my order and did not deliver the salad and desserts, I have to say what they did deliver was absolutely delicious. I called Ariel and he said the next time I come he would give me what Door Dash didn’t deliver. The rice and beans were really something special. The chicken was perfect and the plantains could not be prepared better. I was impressed and will be going back. Mistakes happen, I get it. But great food doesn’t happen. And this place delivers the later. I should be mad, honestly, but what came was so good all I have is a smile and an extremely satisfied tummy. Great food!

This is a follow up to my earlier review. Lo Ina Latina Deli is Waterbury’s hidden gem. Their chicken. Is the best I have ever had. There fried pork was off the charts. Perfectly prepared. Just excellent.
