“I came to Metro Diner this morning off the humbug. I was starving & was craving some chicken & waffles from somewhere close in the area. Surprisingly the chicken was very seasoned and crispy. The waffles were also very tasty and soft. The strawberry butter mixed with their signature hot sauce was also pretty good. Alicia was my server. She was such a doll :) Her knowledge of the menu is impeccable and she took very good care of me. “First of all, located in such a quaint and cute area. The cafe itself is tucked within an alley but it’s incredibly spacious with several different rooms to sit in. Ordering is seamless via QR codes at the table and the food always hits, no misses. Love this place, it’s a true gem.“

“Scalessa's gave me 2 great things. The first was the happy flashback of eating at Priori's at home. The secons was that Scalessa's food was out of this world. “I discovered this hidden gem a few years ago and have been in love with their lamb gyro since. I recently needed food catered for my graduation party and immediately knew it has to be from here.

The food was amazing. We had chicken and lamb gyros for my party. Everyone loved it.

“My boyfriend and I had dinner there recently and it was excellent. I had the Mediterranean shrimp appetizer, the calamari, which we shared and my boyfriend had the chicken salad BLT sandwich. We enjoyed our meal so much. They were busy but the service was very good.

“This was my first time ordering/eating from this restaurant. A security guard from my job who lives in lower Delaware kept saying he wanted to try the food so I decided to surprise him and buy him a platter and I also got a platter for myself and planned on taking it to lunch the following day. The smell of the food on the drive home made me want to open up the platter at the red light ( but I resisted the urge) . So of course I had to taste it before putting in the fridge and it tasted as good as it smelled. I was eating and dancing 💃🏿 the food was sooo good and flavorful and the customer service was great as well. Long story short this was my first time but definitely won't be my last !!“

“Stopped in Newark on the way back to NYC after 8pm and were happy that Home Grown was open and so vegan friendly since there're no fully vegan restaurants in the area until you get to Wilmington. Agree with what other people commented on, the way they coded the menu so you can easily see what is vegan or can be made vegan is delightful and I wish it were more commonplace at other omni restaurants. We ordered the Strawberry Barbecue Soy Curls (marinated soy curls, vegan “cheesy” grits, sautéed kale, strawberry-balsamic barbecue sauce) which is under their seasonal dishes and comes default vegan. It was delicious, the sauce a tad sweet but the creamy, cheesy grits did a good job of balancing it out. We also got the Cheesesteak Banh Mi vegan version (seitan, pickled radishes and carrots, cucumbers, kimchi, jalapeños, vegan cheese, cilantro, yum yum sauce, pan de baston) and for the side we upgraded to a petite Caesar (I neglected to notice this would be an additional charge of $7.50, I thought it was $2.00!) The sandwich was also delicious, the seitan was sliced paper thin and was really tasty on its own. The veggies were crispy and fresh and there was the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. The Caesar was also fresh and I liked the dressing but it was really thick, we ordered it on the side to mix in but it needed more if you want full coverage! The space has a casual fun bar vibe, 80s music and the 'art' was all bright big canvases featuring pop culture characters like the Simpsons and Garfield, service was super friendly, our server Logan could not have been nicer and recommended the Hyatt hotel down a block and that made for a perfect stopover for us, we will be back!“

“Really good food, good prices. It’s small but there’s plenty of seating. Friday and saturday at dinner time is packed but a weekday lunch or dinner is easy to get a table. I’ve never had a bad meal. This is my go to sushi place. They also have really good ramen with big portions. I think this is the best restaurant at the mall.“
