“Excellent pizza! Didn't want to judge too quickly so decided to wait until we ordered again. This time, it was just as good and the service was just as helpful and friendly. I am gluten free, (not celiac) so we gave theirs a shot along with the regular ones we ordered. All I can say is WOW! I have tried so many places in the area hoping to find a GF crust that resembles 'real' pizza, and Stone Mill has figured it out! I asked if it was cauliflower crust or a blend, and the person answering the phone happily gave us the ingredients of what it is made from, without sounding annoyed at the time it took to explain. The crust is great, not pre-made and thankfully not cauliflower. It's not paper thin and came out well done with that charred look and wood fire taste like original crust has. But most importantly, it was delicious. It's not a tiny little 10" crust, or a personal size - it's the same size as all the others. (I was so excited when I saw it I dove right in without taking a picture!) The whole experience, from the politeness when ordering on the phone, to the finished products were great. It's amazing how many places make it sound like they are doing you the favor when they take an order. Great pizza and great service. This is the only place we will order from going forward.”

“Great pizza with eggplant! As I was leaving I saw a display of arancini (rice balls filled with meat and cheese) which I added to my order. They were excellent, highly recommend them! I will ask Luigi to make a few more of these!!”

“I don’t usually leave reviews, but Okura really deserves one. It’s a bit farther than I normally drive for dinner, but lately I’ve found myself going more often—because I just feel good every time I’m there. The first time I went there was in 2009 on the recommendation of a friend who used to have a Japanese restaurant. With job changes, going back to school, and plunging headfirst into a turbulent new career with multiple job changes, I never got back there until 2022. And guess what? They remembered me! The staff is genuinely friendly. They remember what I like, and a few times I’ve described dishes that weren’t on the menu—and they made them perfectly. They actually listen, and that level of care is rare. The wine and beer selection fits my tastes really well, which is a nice bonus. Every time I visit, the atmosphere is happy and relaxed. I often see other customers come in and get greeted like old friends, and it’s clear this place means something to a lot of people. It’s not just a meal—it’s a place that lifts your mood. Okura has become one of my favorite spots. Friendly people, great food, and a warm, welcoming vibe every time.”

“I’ve had the best take out, from the Hockessin store! Everybody is so friendly there. The ribs, chicken (all ways), smothered pork chops, collared greens, Mac, corn bread, the list goes on. This food, puts you in a good state of mind. It’s like a hug, you can eat. Get some!”

“Fantastic ice cream spot. They make it all fresh from the milk from the cows in the farm right beside. Loved the fact that they decided to share the produce in such an innovative way. The location is also fantastic. Offering picturesque views of the surrounding landscape, the farm and the creamery. They have nice spots to sit on just outside the creamery. They had a good variety of choices too. The ice cream was very refreshing. Would definitely recommend giving this a try, whether you're an ice cream enthusiast, or someone who just wants to try something new.”

“The food is amazing!!! Have always done delivery. Had to try in person. The sauce is home made and outstanding!!!! Had stuffed shells and tossed salad. Found out later meatballs home made too. And, they sell wine in little bottles. 🤩 Have had pizza and wings take out. Ordered well done wings. No better wings around. The staff is so sweet and helpful. Love they do their own delivery always on time and perfect !! Can’t wait to go back !!!! 🩷”

“A few friends and I visit Throwbacks Sports Lounge every couple of months due to it's location central to where we all live as we have traditionally found the selection of beers to be not only exceptional, but also diverse and ever changing. Tonight I am wring this review to also comment on the exceptional service we received from the bartender who identified herself as "Smalls". She was personable, energetic, sarcastic, and just all around fun. This is not only a great establishment given their welcoming of outside food (easy walking distance to 2 Fast Guys), but an all around great place to stop into whenever you get a chance. I'd highly recommend this as a place to pop into when you happen to be in the area or to make yourself a REGULAR at if you happen to be in the right proximity.”

“So if you want a ritzy experience this isn't for you, if you want an authentic as it's going to get in the United States with a Philadelphia Chinatown feel this is what you want. I mean I don't even want my Chinese food if there's not a kid doing homework. Got the counter and maybe a grease bucket outside. Also for you folks that have never traveled. Guess what? “First time here and it was very good. Order was on time, put together correctly and tasty. We haven’t had good luck in the past 2 years with Chinese take out - it’s great to find a good place. Basically take out only no tables to sit at.”

“I would normally recommend Six Paulpers, HOWEVER, last night's service was terrible. Not sure what the problem was. We first waited for quite awhile for a waitress, so we just went to the bar to get our own drinks. The waitress shows up, we order our food, and it took quite awhile to get to us. My husband got the French dip and fries, I got the cheesesteak egg rolls. The FFs were cold, greasy and had no taste. My egg rolls were burnt. I sent the FF's back, and asked to see if the chef would like to look at the FF's! She goes OK, but the chef isn't in, just the sous chef! And that was it! 🤣We had to go to the bar for another drink. We finally saw our waitress again for us to ask for the bill! Hope this was just an off night!😬”

“This place has the best food and service any time of day. The breakfast selection is huge, with classics and unique offerings. Lunch and dinner are consistently delicious. The drink offerings (both alcoholic and non) are refreshing and flavourful. It's rare to find a place that never misses! A true Hockessin staple, but worth the trek for us and others!”
