“We had the most incredible experience at O-Ku Alys Beach! Cassandra was our server, and she made the evening absolutely unforgettable. From start to finish, it was hands down the best dinner we have ever had. We were celebrating our 11-year-old’s birthday, and Cassandra went above and beyond to make it truly special. The service is always wonderful, and the Cowabunga Smoothie is one of my personal favorites. “To start the restaurant’s location is located down a beautiful street in Rosemary beach. The food was fantastic! Fresh catch feature of snapper and grits, shrimp enfuego, blue crab Rangoon, crab cakes, and the chocolate chip cookie with a whipped espresso cream! The food was extremely fast & our waiter was even better. If you are in the area it’s a must try restaurant.“

“BRING BACK THE SEAFOOD ENCHILADAS!!!!!!! We drove 5.5 hrs straight to #Hobag in hopes of having the enchiladas. We were very disappointed to find they were no longer on the menu. The food we did order was good but nothing compares to the enchiladas!!! Bring them BACK !!!!“

“Idyll Hounds Brewing Company is one of those places that feels like you accidentally discovered it while looking for civilization. Located just off the busier 30A stretch near Santa Rosa Beach, it has that rare local feel that is getting harder to find around here.

I brought my dog with me, and this is genuinely a dog friendly place. The staff was fantastic from the moment we walked in. Friendly, welcoming, and actually seemed happy to have us there, which goes a long way. No attitude, no rushing you through the experience, just good people doing their thing.

You can also tell there is a serious amount of creativity and attention to detail behind the beer. It feels more like a craft and an art form than somebody simply making another beer and putting a label on it. There is clearly thought behind what they create, and that makes the experience more interesting than your typical brewery stop.

The atmosphere is laid back and comfortable, making it an easy place to spend some time rather than just stop in and leave. If you are visiting 30A and want something that feels a little more local and a little less polished for tourists, this is worth putting on the list.

And the location? Let’s just say you drive far enough away from 30A that you start wondering if your GPS has given up on you. It feels like you are one wrong turn away from international waters and a highly questionable gambling operation.

If you are wondering whether it is worth getting off the beaten path, absolutely. Bring the dog, settle in, talk to the people behind the bar, and experience one of the more genuinely local spots around Santa Rosa Beach.“

If you haven't been to Raw & Juicy check it out for fresh, healthy food options - at Hibiscus or at their other locations. “I stopped by to check out this quaint little cigar bar and enjoy a smoke. The indoor seating is limited, but the place is clean ano well-maintained. They also have an outdoo screened patio with comfortable seating. I was interested in trying the sweeter "Luke Bryan" cigar; however, they sold me the wrong cigar, which was quite disappointing. I ended up spending $ on a smoke that l didn't enjoy. When I mentioned to the staff that I had received the wrong cigar, she apologized but did not offer to rectify the situation. Additionally, there is inconsistency in their pricing: the website price is $32 per stick, while in the store, it's $35.“

“It was our first time going, and we weren’t sure what to expect, but as we were pulling in the parking lot, a man rolled down his window and told us the food was awesome and to try the pork chops. We tried the simple starter. Bread, oil, and herbs. Simple but flavorful! Highly recommend I had the side summer salad and Krioyo pasta. The salad, no joke, was amazing. Full of color and flavor, might be the best salad I’ve ever eaten. The pasta was a generous serving, creamy and spicy with sausage and shrimp, full of flavor! My husband had the pork chops, cheese grits, and fries (I wish he got the collards instead of the fries, but it *was* his meal, so…). The cheese grits were a delicious surprise to me. So, so, so good. If we go back, I’m definitely ordering them (and the collards). The pork chops were, true to our parking lot critic’s word, awesome. I will definitely return. The atmosphere was laid back and wonderful, the food delicious, and the team members were fantastic. 10 out of 10 recommend! “Today was our first visit to Shades Bar & Grill. We were there for lunch & the food & service (our server was Sarah) could not have been better. We ordered the chicken & sausage gumbo, Philly cheesesteak & the chicken jalapeño ranch wrap. Our sides were onion rings & sweet potato fries, however we had a hard time making a selection because of the many great food options to choose from. All the food was delicious & Sarah was a top notch server who was friendly, prompt & efficient. Definitely recommend & will visit Shades again when back in the area.“

“Finding a restaurant that nails both gorgeous aesthetic and kid-friendly is usually impossible, but Discos Pizza Bar completely blew us away! I took my kids here for dinner and had an absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish.
The atmosphere is stunning and so fun, but what really won me over was how incredibly accommodating the staff was. Anyone with picky eaters knows how stressful dining out can be, but the team here didn’t blink an eye. They happily made substitutions and custom tweaks to the pizzas so my kids could get exactly what they wanted, completely stress-free.
While the kids loved their pizzas, I got to relax and enjoy an amazing cocktail and some of their incredible pasta. To top it all off, we finished the night with their delicious gelato and tiramisu, which was a massive hit.
We will absolutely be making this a regular spot! 🍕✨“

She was so PROFESSIONAL. I order almost $50-60 worth of food.. I tried it all. I asked for a special coffee mocha drink and she literally made up the drink and sold it to me, it was AMAZING. Food was top notch. I even walked in with no shoes cause the beach is so close and my goal was to not wear shoes the whole day for vacation. It was AMAZING! Thank you guys!!!“

“This past weekend shaka hosted my baby shower outside on their gorgeous patio and it couldn't have turned out more perfect! They brought in someone to work the bar and helped cater to our every need. There was so much space and the venue was breath taking! Kenyon Deal is the guy to see. He made sure we had everthing we needed before all of our guests arrived and numerous guests who attended noted that is was the best baby shower they had ever been to! So greatful for the amazing staff and will be using them again for any future needs! 100 out of 10 would recommend.“
