“I felt very othered here when I came to celebrate a milestone. I don’t want to make it racial, but as the only person to lower their voice as the only black person in the restaurant, it felt very jarring to see everyone else speaking at a louder volume than I was and any it wasn’t a problem. Delicious food but shitty vibes. Especially for what I was paying. Won’t be back. If black I guess beware.“

“Fantastic! This restaurant checks all the boxes! The food is phenomenal, the ambiance, service and attention to detail were on point; all and everyone of the dishes were delicious and beautiful works of art, not too many that make you feel stuffed but more than enough so you leave satisfied. We had such a special night and felt the love in every dish, we felt as we were invited to the chefs home for dinner.
We had a wonderful time ! Definitely will come back ! Can foresee some stars coming ( much better than starred restaurants we visited before ) wishing you the best of luck and positive energy !“

“Sakura is where I, as a 7 or 8 year old kid, tasted my first piece of sashimi. It was Hamachi, and it changed my life. Over the past 40 ish years, Sakura has remained a constant in our lives. From working lunches to family and friend dinners, celebrations, and everyday weeknight dinners, Sakura has been a favorite. It has not changed much, and that is a very good thing. Wonderful people sharing their wonderful food with South Florida for that long says something amazing about the food and the family here. Thank you, Sakura, for being in my heart (and my stomach!) for 40 years. どうもありがとうございます“

“We had an absolutely amazing dinner here. Unassuming, intimate restaurant that easily accommodated our party of five. I asked for the vegan box listed on the menu, but was told they did not have all the ingredients to make the usual dishes, so the chef Kevin created a menu just for me. He was so creative, inventive, and excited about every dish he brought out of the kitchen, and each one was more delicious than the last. I am technically pescatarian, so a few of the dishes had fish sauce, but he would have easily accommodated me with a vegan or vegetarian menu as well. It was honestly one of the most incredible dining experiences I have ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Miami/ Coral Gables area.“

“This little place was quaint but had very tasty food. Sushi was fresh and they definitely have their own style here. Hats off to the chef! The wait wasn’t too long either for the food. I didn’t know what to expect going in there but was pleasantly surprised. I love discovering incognito gems. Not a lot of seating but the place doesn’t seem to get full, there was only one other party of four whilst i was there. Parking in the back is plentiful so no need to worry about that. I’ll be back!“
