“Hands down the best Asian in Gainesville and I have lived here 12 years. I would actually put it up against any Asian place in New York. Not speedy, because everything is fresh-made, right down to the wontons in the wonton soup. Dishes are very nicely spiced rather than slathered in sauce. Ingredients are high quality, from the bok choi to the beef. Please, PLEASE stay in business.“

“I been eating at China 88 for years. Delicious Chinese cuisine, not too bland, not too spicy, but just right, with a lot of variety. Believe me, I'm from NYC and know Chinese food. Run by a hardworking family who are the nicest and friendliest people you could hope to meet.“

“This place is close to my house. I am a fan because the vegetable lo mein is great and they make it spicy upon request. Also, pickup orders are ready fast, which is a big win.“

“I've been coming to China Wok on Tower and Archer since 1998. During that time I've never had a single bad meal, nor a wrong order. No matter how much I order or what modifications (lots of onions and broccoli!) I make to my meal it comes out piping hot, flavourful, insanely prompt, and with great customer service. Even during COVID shutdown they fed our community safely and with love and care. I've watched whole generations raised in there go off to college. This is a cherished family restaurant and will always be my favourite Chinese takeaway.

“We went to Mr. Han's for first time for my brothers birthday celebration tonight and we can not get over how great all the food was! It was not only fresh but so delicious! It was quite a feast with many dishes and everything was so good. I am a picky eater and my husband even said he had not seen me enjoy a meal so much ever. The service was wonderful as was the atmosphere. We will definitely be back - we can say this is the best restaurant in Gainesville for any type of food!!“

“my wife and I went for the soft opening in Gainesville and absolutely loved it. we both got the 4 bowl. I got fried rice, udon, bourbon and Thai chicken. The bourbon was great, the best I've had in all of Gainesville. The Thai chicken could've been spicier. service was amazing and staff was very friendly. prices were very reasonable and portions were large. my wife loved the orange chicken. we'll definitely be back frequently. great job bambuu“

“Your average chinese food experience. Dont expect to be amazed, because you won't be. Still better than some of the other places in town, but considering gainesville is very limited on good food, this one is above average.

EDIT: I decided to give china star a second chance today, and a different person cooked my food and took my order (maybe the owner?); everything came out tasting good, and overall a better experience. My only two things is I still would have liked to have slughtly more crisp and a slightly larger tang to my orange chicken. Edited my review to reflect today's experience with them.“

“We recently visited Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle and were honestly really impressed. First off, a little over $1 for a soda these days is almost unheard of, so we were excited about the prices right away.

My husband and I shared the dumplings and both loved them. The texture was perfect and the flavor was really good. The portions overall felt like a great size and everything tasted freshly made. I ordered the pork fried rice and really enjoyed dipping it into the house made dumpling sauce, which honestly made the meal even better.

The vibe inside was very quiet, cozy, and romantic, making it a really nice spot for a relaxed date night. The restaurant was also extremely clean, which we always appreciate, and there was plenty of easy parking.

We’ll definitely be back once they add the ramen noodles to the menu!“

“China garden just brought me back to life. I spent 55 dollars and got a full course buffet. The moo shoo, delicious, wontons delightful. I got the generals tsos, lo mein, fried rice. Egg rolls. Listen in today’s economy we need to be supporting the local Chinese restaurant because that was delicious and a great bang for my buck. 10/10 experience. Screw fast food, china garden it is from here on out.“

“Clean and friendly. Ordered a regular size Lo mien Veggie add Tofu and I think they gave me more tofu than any other Chinese place I've tried in Florida, and maybe even in the US! As a person who's origionally from an area that is known for good food, I've been dissappointed too many times to count while trying to find a place that has good chinese food in gainesville. Aesthetics don't matter to me; but if you have a big group of people or are looking for a place to have a sit-down lunch; this is probobally not the best place to go. That being said, if you want good chinese food for a reasonable price, this Hot Wok is a good option in GNV.“

“I love this place so much. Easily the best Chinese food I have ever had. I have a Chinese place 2 min from me but I will always make the drive out to China Wok. The food is so good, especially the spare ribs and general tso chicken. The price is so worth is, they absolutely load the containers up. You get 4-5 meals worth of food for $25. The lady who works to register is so nice too.“
