“I am back after a few years. The food is still delicious, 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Our server, Kimo, 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
He is full of energy, explained the dishes, gave us suggestions and was very attentive.
My favorite from his suggestions, Maguro Truffle, Sticky Ribs, Hawaii XO Roll and the Double Tekka Roll. For dessert we had the Ube Cheese Cake. Sweet, smooth, perfect to share with two. Yes! I would order it all again.
The ambiance, 4 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
The decor is cheeky/romantic with dim lights. But noise level was pretty high. It’s ok if you are sitting right next to each other. I can hear larger parties speaking louder to be able to carry a conversation.
Restroom situation, 2 ⭐️ ⭐️
There is 1 bathroom for females and 1 bathroom for males. I didn’t really noticed it until the line came out of the bathroom area and people were standing near our table. When I needed to use it, wow, I was next in line but it took forever. Something to consider upgrading or maybe make them unisex so both stalls can be used.
The restaurant added a lounge next door. It has its own door or you can access through the restaurant. It also has its own cocktail menu that you can order from while dining.
These are suggestions for improvement but not important enough to stop me from coming back.“

“We celebrated my daughter’s birthday here. It was exquisite. The chef’s choices were amazing. Very pleasing to the palate and the eyes. The team that assisted the chef including the servers made the experience special. Can’t wait to book another experience. Well worth every penny spent!“

“Delicious sushi! I got the baller set which was very good and nice to try once, but I’ll probably just order from the regular menu in the future.

It is standing room only and doesn’t feel crowded tho the place is quite small.

The only thing I really didn’t care for was the 1 hour slot, I feel like it could be 1.5 hours and that might be better because it felt a bit rushed at the end when getting the last pieces, soup, and s’mores. I felt like I had to scarf my s’mores down quickly to get out on time.

“We went to TORI TORI for the first time last weekend. The food and drinks were amazing, but I can’t give the restaurant more than 4 stars. The way the place works is a bit different: you find your own seat, then go to the bar to order both your food and drinks. After that, you can either stay at the bar or go back to your table. We tried the blue crab dip, crab croquette, crab rice, scallop crudo, beef skewers, tomato skewers, scallion and cheese pepper skewers ~ all of them were delicious. The drinks were also really good. They have food runners who bring the food to you, but you still have to go order everything yourself at the bar. The mix of self-service and table service was interesting, but I didn’t love having to wait in line to order and still being expected to tip over 20% (which we did). The bartenders (ours was Thanathep) were very busy, which made sense since it was a Sunday night. I really enjoyed the food and drinks, but because of the service style, I’d give it 4 stars.“

I decided to grab dinner here prior to attending an event at the Dr. Phillips Center about ten minutes away. There was a 15-20 minute wait before I was notified that my table was ready. The interior is small and intimate with a lovely ambience. Staff were all very friendly and answered all my questions. The food tasted wonderful, and the gyoza was among the best I’ve ever had. If you plan on eating here for dinner on the weekend, I recommend giving yourself plenty of buffer time—both for parking and service.

Did I mention the desserts? I got one of each (mochi and hojicha panda cotta) and both were scrape-up-every-bite good!“

“Was incredible. The cheezus is a must. The spice from the bomb that was added into my Ramen made it just right for me(if you enjoy spicy) The shishito peppers accompanied the ramen perfectly. Our server Brandon was amazing and attentive, fun guy! All around, I highly recommend this place.“

“If you are reading this; hesitant, intrigued, curious, or even on the fence in regards to experiencing this resturant, hear me out for a minute!

Our lives are constantly in a flux of good days, bad days, busy days, or just plain exhausting days. Time keeps spinning around us, but one constant can always be there to make you a bit happier through it all.... Food! Food can be something that can bring us all together and have a great time enjoying it! This is where Sorekara comes in...

Sorekara is hands down, without question, to this date, one of the best eating 'Experiences' I have ever had. Time litteraly slows, your senses are highetened, and before the night is over you will litteraly question how long you have actually been there or even if it was the same day you visited. Now... To the point.

Sorekara is a chefs table tasting experience. The ingredients are the best of the best, nothing artificial. All of which get weaved into unique tasting offerings than span 20 courses (in our selection). The range of flavors and how everything was arranged in the order they came out in was truly a artform in itself. If you have read any of my reviews I typically ALWAYS have numerous pictures of everything I eat. However, because of the wishes from the chef, and staff, which I do agree with, I have not done that here. The reason for this is because your journey here will be at its best if you just go in blind.

The staff and service here are truly a huge part of why this resturant shines. Observant, reactive, and most definitely adaptive. Every team member knew not only their role, but everyone else's role. On top of this, the communication between each other guarenteed your night went well.

To summarize, I have left this review vary vague on purpose. The time you took to read this I hope proves fruitful because Sorekara is a experience you do NOT want to miss. Yes, it can be pricey for some, but I will say you will also NOT regret the experience in the least.

I can safely say this Resturant deserves it's current Two Star Michelin rating and applaud the chefs, owner, and team. We hope to return soon!“

“It was our first time visiting for magical dining. We actually arrived an hour earlier than our scheduled reservation and they seated us immediately. The atmosphere was amazing and the service was superb! Katrina, our server provided detailed explanations of the menu and gave great recommendations. Even before we entered, Peter, the valet, welcomed us like we were old friends. He recommended Ana’s Cosmo, which was divine. The meal came in “waves” and each wave seemed interchangeable and complemented the previous one. We wanted for nothing the entire evening. Christopher, the general manager, was attentive and made us feel at home. Overall, it was a lovely evening and we will definitely return—only next time we will book a room at the Wave Hotel and make it a proper staycation.“

“We’ve dined at both Kabooki locations, and they’re equally incredible! This place has everything you want in a night out—a stylish, lounge-like vibe; creative, delicious cocktails; mind-blowing food; and friendly, attentive staff. The oysters are hands-down some of the best we’ve ever had; the moriawase sashimi and nigiri are unbelievably fresh and a flavor journey we didn’t think could be topped…until the ghost roll arrived and blew us away. Each bite was divine—this is a stop-and-savor experience. Every 5-star review is well-deserved. Kabooki is consistently outstanding and our top choice for sushi, without question.“

“Chef’s choice sashimi was pretty darn good! Miso sea bass was good too and the buttery sauce it came with was excellent. They should’ve used that sauce with the King Lime roll bc that roll needed some help. Bonbu Tiger roll was surprisingly very good. The hot saki wasn’t great. If they had an actual menu instead of using your phone, it would’ve made it feel much more high end and I probably would’ve ordered a better sake. I was too hungry and didn’t want to look at my phone the whole time. You get 4 brussel sprouts halved on 2 skewers for $5, sad. Seito Sushi by Baldwin Park has the best brussel sprouts.
Omg they also had Toto toilets in the women’s restroom, so great to see that! All restaurants should follow suit!“

“RAVE! Who knew Doritos and sushi would taste so good together?! I needed a sushi fix yesterday, and couldn't find a place open for lunch until my neighbor drove by Hand Roll Sushi on the corner of JYP and Menta Street, and texted me she saw the Open sign on. I called, ordered the Crunch Roll, Volcano Roll, and Crabmeat Salad to go. 20 minutes later I picked it up. The Crunch Roll almost didn't make it home, I was devouring it in the car. Everything was fresh and delicious. I will definitely be ordering from them again.“

“For this visit, I did the Eat to the Beat package and thought it was a pretty good deal.

So there are 3-tiers that we were able to choose from at this restaurant (with the package we bought). I chose the 2nd option which is, you get an appetizer, a main dish and a dessert and it comes with a drink. For the main course, I had the unagi don (eel bowl). This dish was very flavorful and of course the eel was great. I wish it came with more eel though, which was my only complaint but not a big deal. I also enjoyed my dessert, which was a mango mousse.

Overall, it was nice. The waitresses were so kind and on point and I had a lovely view of the outside lake. Would definitely love to eat here again.“
