“My expectations were truly exceeded. This is not your typical sushi joint. The chef there definitely is building their dishes with love and care. They seem to use real crab meat wherever you would normally have “sea leg” and every single item in our order was delicious, super fresh, prepared uniquely, and reasonably priced. And it’s delivered! Super bonus. Do it, you won’t regret it. Awesome place. Welcome to the neighborhood.“

“What a great experience! Right in South Miami! Our waitress, Karen, was amazing! Very attentive and extremely helpful with the menu and drinks. She recommended the Omakase Signature to share. It comes with a variety of sushi. Compliments to the chef, it was exactly what we wanted and needed. 100% recommend coming down and seeing Karen and enjoying the delicious food and atmosphere!“

“I felt very othered here when I came to celebrate a milestone. I don’t want to make it racial, but as the only person to lower their voice as the only black person in the restaurant, it felt very jarring to see everyone else speaking at a louder volume than I was and any it wasn’t a problem. Delicious food but shitty vibes. Especially for what I was paying. Won’t be back. If black I guess beware.“

The food is phenomenal, the ambiance, service and attention to detail were on point; all and everyone of the dishes were delicious and beautiful works of art, not too many that make you feel stuffed but more than enough so you leave satisfied. We had such a special night and felt the love in every dish, we felt as we were invited to the chefs home for dinner.

“The chefs special sashimi was so fresh. Texture was very delicate and melted in the mouth. The toro hand roll was filled with delicious fatty tuna and had the right amount of bite. Loved seeing the two talented sushi masters upfront working their craft, precisely cutting the fish, into vibrant work of arts.

Service was wonderful too would come again! The handroll was so good I ordered an additional toro and salmon roll.“

“I've been meaning to try Sushi Corner after reading many reviews about how tasty and affordable this restaurant is, finding all these reviews to be completely true! This hole in the wall gem of West Kendall is well worth your time to try! I came in with my boyfriend last night to their small no frills location and was immediately greeted by our server who was very attentive throughout our whole meal. It's true that they do serve everything using plastic ware which to me doesn't matter at all. I care about the quality of food and the food is definitely top notch! My boyfriend and I decided to order various menu items to share. I started with a hot bowl of Miso Soup $2 which was good; loved the portion which I felt was more than most places. Next we had the Rainbow Roll $10 (California roll topped w/various fish) which was glaringly fresh and came out beautifully. The Sexy Roll $10 (fish tempura, avocado, cilantro, jalapeño, rolled w/soy paper, tempura flakes, eel sauce, spicy mayo) was by far my favorite just because of all the incredible flavors in it. The Florida Roll $9 (spicy conch, cucumber, masago) definitely surprised me with its spice level and amount of conch within it. Lastly, we ordered the Sushi Corner Fried Rice $8 (chicken, shrimp, vegetables, and masago) which ultimately surprised me in portion and tastiness. The fried rice isn't over done with soy sauce so it remains tasting light though its also savory because of a smoky flavor. So tasty! Can't wait to try your other roles and highly recommend to anyone in the area as I think they also deliver!“

“First time coming, place is fabulous, environment is so nice and the decor around makes it so cozy. The boss is super friendly, take his word for whatever he suggests. The food was so goooodd and very affordable. Boss also gave us a free sample of the dessert which was very kind of him. From working lunches to family and friend dinners, celebrations, and everyday weeknight dinners, Sakura has been a favorite. It has not changed much, and that is a very good thing. Wonderful people sharing their wonderful food with South Florida for that long says something amazing about the food and the family here.
