“Delicious Omakaze experience with a wide variety of sashimi and rolls. My fave was the shiitake rolls. And I was obsessed with the wasabi oil they gave us for the hand roll. The service was amazing and the itamaes the best, we even got to try a very fluffy matcha biscuit and the shaved ice with mint and lemony taste was amazing!“

“High-quality sushi, delicious but not very big, a little on the pricey side but very good. Service was very attentive and on point. Had several dishes not seen on other sushi Thai restaurants. My wife had a fried chicken dish. Chicken was a little dry and not too much sauce to help it out. Overall, it was very good.“

“Im hesitant to post this because it’s truly a hidden gem right now but this restaurant/market and chef Takashi deserve their praise. It’s the best and most authentic sushi I have had in Miami. It’s the only nigiri I’ve had that has the proper size and freshness you would expect from good, high quality nigiri. By far the most similar to the nigiri I have had in Japan. No tiny pieces where they’re skimping you out on fish and loading it with rice and sprinkling truffle oil to make a sad piece of nigiri look appealing. This is the real deal and so worth it. Can’t wait to check it out in person“

“Food was amazing and every plate we tried was delicious! Also, the place is beautiful, clean, and cozy! I do have to take one star because the service was not what we expected, the servers were talking about the customers at the tables because it was almost closing time and 18% service fee is added to all tables but definitely worth trying! (March 22nd).“

“Really wonderful experience here! Food was fresh and came out fairly quickly. One area for improvement: hire additional servers. There was only one girl working. She busted her hump and did great but I can't imagine if the place was busier... she wouldn't have been able to keep up. I think she had at least 6 tables while we were there.“

“I dine at Sushi Chef about every ten days, for good reason. It serves proper, correctly prepared Japanese food and has done so consistently for years. It is not a fancy place, but the food is extraordinarily good. Just delicious. And it is clean as a whistle, a rarity for Miami restaurants. Go there, you will not be disappointed.“

“Osaka is like a masterclass in maximizing the creative potential of fusion cuisine. The dishes and cocktails are Peruvian-Japanese inspired and all an exciting experience in themselves. Our group of 6 went to Osaka with an open mind ready to try anything - our server Daniel made our experience, taking the time to personally curate a sampling of many of the highlights from Osaka. Essentially like a hand-picked omakase experience. He was thoughtful, attentive, and funny and gave us all the information on everything presented, checking in to see how we liked the various things chosen. Definitely want to recognize him for his service as he made our first-time experience exceptional! Some of the highlights of the food (that I can remember to describe accurately, at least!) included a tartare dish served on squid ink-infused nori crackers and sprinkled with gold leaf (the first dish chosen and a true show-stopper), the Japanese scallop nigiri (simple but incredibly flavorful and seared at our table), the Wagyu beef and crispy shrimp rolls topped with foie gras (also freshly seared at our table), the Japanese beef prepared table-side with quail eggs and a foie gras topping, the raw wagyu served with a hot stone for table-side searing along with a delicious side of crispy potatoes, and a very buttery soft fish dish (I think the black cod?).Aside from how delicious and fresh the food was, the presentation and preparation was a huge part of the experience. Many things as mentioned were seared at the table, prepared table-side, or allowed us to freshly cook our food. Also adding to the experience was the art of the cocktail presentation. Many of the cocktail were served very beautifully and they had exceptional flavor. Our party ordered their version of the Negroni that came presented in a smoking box. A couple of us also had the cocktail that had green tea/matcha (I don't remember the name :/) and it was also beautifully presented as a pour-over in a small bowl with crushed ice. Aside from presentation, both cocktails had expertly balanced flavors and definitely tasted as good as they looked. Osaka overall is an incredible experience and highly recommend! And a big thank you again to Daniel for being a big part making our experience amazing!“

“Absolutely fantastic experience at Kampai! My friends and I stumbled upon this gem and were blown away by the delicious food and unbeatable prices. The cozy ambiance added to the charm of the place. The tuna and crispy rice were divine, and the eel rolls and gyozas were simply irresistible. But the real showstopper? The mango martinis - hands down the best I've ever had! The portions were generous, leaving us happily stuffed. Special shoutout to the attentive waitress who made our evening even more enjoyable. Kampai, you've won our hearts - we'll definitely be back for more!“

“My spouse and I tried 1111 Nikkei for the first time today. We live in the area and decided to go on a lunch date. We arrived at 12 PM, when they open, and were the first folks there. The food was outstanding and came out quickly. We had the lomo saltado spring rolls, bao buns, tuna acevchiado roll, and the carretillero ceviche. Everything was great (spring rolls were especially good). We will be here again. Highly recommend.“

“As a non-Japanese Japanese food conessuir, the food quality has exceeded my made up expectations. This place actually has Japanese menus that I assume real Japanese people could read, so I knew from the start that the food would be amazing. Now I think there's only one waiter that can actually speak it, so don't practice it with the others because they won't understand.“

“Discover this phenomenal sushi restaurant located in Coral Way in Coral Gables, the decoration is so vibrant displaying a unique decor in every corner. The wall art and the figurines in the wall are fantastic too. The chairs are all different and the ambiance is very welcoming as well as the lighting, the venue has a lot of space and also offers outdoors seating. I loved the menu because it features photos, description and an interactive menu presented in a tablet with many choices including Latin/fusion dishes, signature rolls, sushi for big groups hot/cold teas, desserts and much more... I ordered the Marlenita and Santori signature rolls and they didn't disappoint. The pieces had a generous amounts of salmon, avocado and it was were perfectly prepared and crafted. I really loved each piece and the presentation was on point. I appreciate Esteban exceptional customer service. He was hospitable, attentive, and very professional. I will definitely return to try the signature bowls and eat more edamame!! Ps. The ice cream was soft, the Nutella made every bite delightful“

“AMAZING! Mine and my fiancé's new favorite sushi spot. We had the signature Thomas Roll (ended up ordering a second one from how good it tasted)! We had nigiri sea urchin and wahoo - absolutely amazing and tastes so fresh. The sushi bar is where it's at!!! Nothing is frozen which is what we were really looking for. Our waiter was kind and everything came in a timely manner 10/10 would recommend. And not overpriced at all!“

“We have dinner many times here, always giving them the benefit of the doubt. The service is terrible. They sat us down with menu's waited 20 min and no one came by to even offer us water. Meanwhile 2 more customers wall in and they were immediately welcomed 3 if the employees created them chatted with them. They were served water and there order was taken. As this is all happening we are still sitting waiting. 10 more pass by and still no one has come to us. We proceed to walk out and eat at the Mexican restaurant next door. This has happens several times we have gone but like the food that we always let it pass and cone back. But this time was the final pass. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, VERY RUDE AND TERRIBLE SERVICE“

“As far as Japanese spots go, this one is pretty good for being in the middle of the miami suburbs - pricing is decent and options are varied and you'll find the usual here. Not the best or most authentic but it's a great neighborhood restaurant and the layout is fun and very Japanese.“

“Went for lunch with some friends and had the empanadas, sushi rolls, and drinks. The CAPRESE empanada is delicious, definitely a must have if you love cheese and tomato. I had the white sangria which was alright, too sweet for my preference and only had apples in it which is odd. Out of the four sushi rolls we had the must have is the HUANCAINA roll. Another solid roll was the TIGER roll. TUNA TARTAR roll had a great flavor as well. The lest favorite was the VOLCANO, it was cold and I was expecting more of that warmth, smokiness, and crunch you get in a traditional volcano roll. Parking is hell. Coral gables has gotten wild with the parking situation. The restaurant was empty when we went which worked for us. We sat outside and it was well kept. Our server Claudia was very kind and informative. Would be back for the empanadas and sushi, but not the drinks.“

“After several times visiting here, I feel the food quality here is above average comparing to other buffet, especially for the sashimi. I would say that the fish is really fresh but not in the high quality. But this is buffet, I don't expect we can get really high quality sashimi here. Maybe because it has many seafood, it is a little pricey. However, the options for other else are somehow less than some lower price buffet. The soup is on the average. Sometimes the cakes are a bit dry.“

“Our favorite restaurant! We've been ordering take out for years and the quality is consistent. We also dine in regularly and have catered a few dinners, all a success! My 5 year old loves this restaurant, especially the kids chicken katsu, the tofu pad Thai and the salmon teriyaki! She's also starting to try some of the sushi rolls. My kid is a picky eater, and sushi rock has been the one consistent restaurant since she was 3. Give it a try!“
“We order delivery from here a few weeks ago and it was so yummy that we had to visit the restaurant. It has a super cute patio area with faux cherry blossom trees and plenty of seating and our service (shout out Wilson!) was excellent! We started with Octopus Banditos and truffle edamame. The octopus was a bit rubbery and the sauces didn't do it for me, but the truffle edamame was sooo good. We also had the Two Timing Tuna Roll, Hamachi Jalapeño Roll and Hot Stone Wagyu beef HIGHLY recommend all of these!!! I appreciated that they did not bring everything out all at once. They spaced it out where we could enjoy each item before the next was brought out. Wilson told us at their happy hour they even have BOGOs on rolls, apps, and drinks!! The food was incredible , service was great and prices were very reasonable! Will be back soon!“

“I recently visited Miami and I'm so glad I ate here. This was the best sushi I've had in years. it was so fresh, and delicious. I had the tuna tataki which was amazing. Unlike a lot of restaurants that use a lot of fillers like tempura flakes in their tataki, the tataki here was full of fish and the tobiko. I keep thinking about it! it also had so much fish that this, one order of salmon sushi and a miso soup was all I needed. This will 100% be one of my first stops anytime I'm in the area.“
