“My friend and I went on Saturday night. We both had a drink and ordered appetizer while looking at the menu. Our waiter was right there with our hot appetizer within minutes. We both ordered shrimp and scallops coleslaw hush puppies along with our fried calamari appetizer. Our food was one of the best we've had in and around Bradenton/Sarasota. The atmosphere was perfect and service was the best. I cant wait to go back.“

“The food was absolutely delicious. Riley was an excellent server (thank you again). The view was beautiful, seats right on the river. Wow! My only complaint was my whiskey sour was a bit on the weak side. Will definitely stop again when in the area. PS: if you’re not used to Florida, you might want to spray some bug spray on your legs if you eat outside.

“We had a great experience tonight! With two littles, they knowingly placed us in front of the fish tank to help with entertainment. Our server was speedy, kind, and had honest and helpful recommendations for the food. Everything was fast, fresh, and delicious. “Our favorite place! We go a few times a month for NE steamers, and occasionally a few other items! Today we both had NE steamers, I had a bowl of Manhattan clam chowder and my boyfriend had whole belly fried clam plate. The chowder was delicious. I have had Manhattan chowder a few other places but this was chuck full of clams and ingredients! Our server told me they make all chowder and soups homemade. Next time I’ll try NE chowder, only reason I didn’t was because I can’t have flour and most have that in it My boyfriend also loved his clams and we both always love the steamers. They have a fish market also so you can get something to take home and cook for the next evening! We always sit at the bar. All servers are friendly and polite. We have been there tons of times and always had excellent service and fabulous food! Prices are very reasonable and we highly recommend Captain Brian’s! They are closed on Sundays . “We were able to get seats at the bar. We enjoyed ourselves. The bartender Jen was great. It was busy and she was on her toes as she was the only bartender but made sure everyone was taken care of. The expeditor was impressive. His name was Brody. It was great to see a young man being so attentive to what he was doing and making sure that the staff knew what was going on. Our food was delicious.“

“First time ever going here but the food is AMAZING! It was so good! Probably the best seafood boil I’ve had. Some of the down sides about my experience was the atmosphere can be very overwhelming. It’s REALLY loud in there. Too much happening at one time. There is a lady that comes to your table and has you posed for pictures which was really awkward but on the plus side you get a free picture. Also our waitress which I think was named Cynthia, was not great. We ordered an appetizer that we never got until probably 20 minutes after our food, we barely saw her ever, had to get her attention when she passed by to get drink refills. Anything we asked her to bring us we had to wait minimum 15 minutes to get if not longer. I would definitely eat here again but probably to go only.“

As a veteran server myself, I was very impressed with the food quality and service as well as the view. Started out with Cajun shrimp. Yum! Onto Pasta Primavera. Cooked perfectly. I always say all diners should have to do this job double shift just for one day. I totally recommend this restaurant while in the area.“

“What a lovely night!! It was my birthday celebration and was definitely memorable. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by smiling hostesses and managers.

I recommend making a reservation, we had one and we were immediately seated on time. The restaurant gets quite busy and they can’t have a wait, without a reservation.

The ambiance and mood is very calming, yet upscale. The exposed kitchen behind glass is a very classy touch!

Our server Melissa was one of the sweetest servers I think I’ve ever had. Extremely knowledgeable on wines and every menu item. She was so attentive, and anticipated our needs. So pleasant and just had an overall positive and friendly vibe. The way Melissa took care of us really was a large part of the evening.

The food; oh goodness it was so delicious! Very satiating and flavorful. We weeent swear it was restaurant week, but the specials seemed too good to pass up! We ordered the fixed 3 course meals. However you can choose your starter, main entree, and dessert. It was flawless!!
