“Restaurant Iron has long been our go-to destination in downtown Pensacola. Its intimate ambiance, dedicated upscale menu, and consistent quality made it stand out above any other establishment in the area. We’ve brought out-of-town guests to showcase the richness of the local cuisine, always confident that the experience—from the first cocktail to the last bite of Nutella or raspberry ganache pie—would impress. Our typical order was a ritual: shareable truffle fries, a perfectly cooked ribeye (always photo-worthy), and a decadent dessert to close. These elements, paired with the cozy atmosphere, were what made Iron so special. Unfortunately, our most recent visit on May 9 was deeply disappointing. Despite the torrential downpour, we didn’t think twice about keeping our reservation. But upon arrival, we were met with an entirely different experience. The menu, which now features sliders and sandwich-style dishes, felt more suited for a casual lunch spot than the refined dining experience we had come to love. Several signature dishes were removed, and the new offerings didn’t align with the elevated identity Iron once upheld. Even the menu design itself no longer reflects the restaurant’s original charm. Service also fell short of expectations. We were served the wrong salad, and the correct one arrived without dressing. Dessert—though eventually comped—took an unexpectedly long time to be served, rounding out an already lackluster evening. We truly hope this is a temporary shift. Restaurant Iron was once our top choice for special occasions and recommendations. But based on our last visit, we no longer feel confident choosing it for a date night or referring friends and family. Please reconsider restoring the signature dishes and experience that made Iron exceptional.”

“This is such a great restaurant! We traveled from Mobile, AL specifically to try this place out. I ordered the crab cake benedict with new potatoes and a side of bacon, it was amazing! The mimosas were also great. I loved we could mix/customize them at the table and it was a good tasting champagne as well. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food and the service. It is such a welcoming, fun vibe with live jazz music. This spot has been added to my visit list anytime in Pensacola.”

“Cannot recommend this place highly enough. It was so good that we had to go twice during our 5 day vacation. The owner is so friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. He was happy to make recommendations based on our preferences. The entire staff were great as well. The food was outstanding; everything we ate was so flavorful and the portions were big. Do yourself a favor and go ahead and get two or three orders of naan with your meal… so worth it. We can’t wait until we’re in PCB again; Taste of India will definitely be in our meal rotation!”

“My wife and I had dinner there. To start my wife had the blueberry lemon drop martini and I had an Old Fashioned. Her martini was excellent, my Old Fashioned was a little too sweet for my taste and a little pricey at $16.50. We had the wedge salad which was excellent. For dinner I had the grouper over risotto. It was a very nice size of fish and cooked just right. My wife had the tenderloin tournedos. Both dishes we outstanding. For dessert we received a complimentary Blueberry Cheesecake because it was my birthday. It wasn't the typical cheesecake in that it was heated with ice cream on top. It was delicious. We can't say enough about our waiter Brandon. He was very engaging and excellent in every way. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, while being a bit pricey with our meal topping over $200 for the two of us. That is why we only go to Jackson's for special occasions.”

I come here because I feel lonely especially since it's me just all by myself without my late husband and my son and daughter-in-law with my grandkids stationed over in virginia. I come to this waffle house because I like the company. The service is good and the food is fantastic. We got some really great workers here. I believe that Kristen, Melissa, Jayne, Stephanie, Whitney, Katrina, Kadaisha, Linda and Holly are just about the sweetest waitresses. We also got some really great cooks like Calvin, Patrick, Jeremiah and Quincy. I also think that William is just about the friendliest manager. I really feel right at home here. All locations- their Perdido coffee truck, their brick-and-mortar near the front gate of NAS, and especially their truck at the Perdido soccer fields for a much-needed energy boost on Saturdays lol, are incredible! 🙌 I literally recommend everything, their coffee is top-notch, their Red Bull fruit drinks are perfect for a pick-me-up, and their food hits the spot every time. “This was our first visit. I had the lean brisket burnt ends, my friends had the ribs. Both were wonderful! The burnt ends were tender and the ribs were moist and tender as well—Perfection! Cheyenne, our server was kind, very friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. I wish I could give 10 stars. We were told the BBQ is no# 1 in Florida and no# 9 in the nation. I do not doubt it! Also, the ladies’ restroom was very clean.”

“Awesome 90 year old bar where the locals hangout in Old Easthill under the canopy of Oak trees. A lot is packed in this little place. Large selection of beer and seltzer, and some wine too with excellent customer service behind the bar. TV's inside and out back for the sports fans. A dart machine and pinball. Trivia a night during the week and several local bands play out back on some weekends. Their Wisteria sandwich food truck is also delicious.”

It wasn’t the closest, but it was the very best - loved the ambiance, the original artwork, the friendliness of the staff, the Asiago bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and a large latte, extra shot with whole milk. Though my son loved the Purple Rain and my wife loved the Crème Brûlée. I’ll miss this place!!!”

My suggestions are to make sure you confirm that the rice and lentils are cooked appropriately because sometimes those ingredients are still uncooked/hard as rocks. Watch them add your toppings because they seem to want to rush you through that process and they tend to skip toppings that you request because they are in a hurry to keep things moving.”

My waitress name was Rebecca, she was very kind and polite ❤️ The manager stopped by before we left and gave us a little back ground on the restaurant. That fact that he took the time as busy as it was very sweet . Outstanding place ! Wish I could give more stars . Will be returning soon!”

“We eat at this Cava a couple times a week. For the majority of the time it's a decent experience and we keep returning if that tells you anything. My suggestions are to make sure you confirm that the rice and lentils are cooked appropriately because sometimes those ingredients are still uncooked/hard as rocks. Watch them add your toppings because they seem to want to rush you through that process and they tend to skip toppings that you request because they are in a hurry to keep things moving.”

“My wife and I go to Pensacola once a month and we usually stop at Cheddars. We never had a bad meal until yesterday. She got a salad and I got a burger. The burger was over cooked,the lettuce was wilted and the onions were old and they were the outside of the onion ring,chewy not crispy. I don't complain at restaurants because you never know what going to happen when the take your meal back to the kitchen. The service was great the young lady was very attentive and I still left a tip.I didn't eat much of it.”

After my original few visits I've noticed a bit of a decline in the service here. I've had two instances now where the barista running the shop couldn't do something on the register like a drink modification or printing an itemized receipt. It's such a shame because this used to be my favorite tea shop but the menu is unclear and the baristas don't seem thrilled to tell you about what's in the drinks.

All locations- their Perdido coffee truck, their brick-and-mortar near the front gate of NAS, and especially their truck at the Perdido soccer fields for a much-needed energy boost on Saturdays lol, are incredible! 🙌 I literally recommend everything, their coffee is top-notch, their Red Bull fruit drinks are perfect for a pick-me-up, and their food hits the spot every time. “I honestly never leave reviews, but this place earned it. It was only their second day open, so my coworker and I walked in expecting chaos. We figured we’d be waiting forever or have to pick elsewhere to eat. Instead, the staff was genuinely kind, we got sat right away, and everything felt surprisingly smooth. And the food… I wasn’t ready. I’ve eaten at plenty of places during opening week, and nothing has come close. The bruschetta, the salads, our entrées… Every single thing was not only good but GREAT. I ordered the Parmesan chicken and asked if they could swap the red sauce for Alfredo, and they didn’t make a fuss at all. The chicken was cooked perfect, and I’m still dreaming about my meal. Needless to say, we went back to work telling everyone that lunch was a full 10/10. Pensacola really needed a spot like this on Nine Mile. Me, on the other hand… I fear I will be back sooner than I’d like to admit.”

It is located in the building behind Garden, off Jefferson. $71 for chips & guac, crunchwrap, street tacos, and steak bowl, incl tip and taxes. There is so much food -- we will have at least 2 more meals. The truck is right next to an outdoor bar that I cannot wait to visit in person next girls night out.”
