We wanted a traditional Cuban dinner tonight so my husband scoured review after review of so many famous Miami Cuban establishments and up popped this little gem! It’s a true family business! Lauren is front of the house and her mom and dad, who we also met (and thanked profusely for our splendid dinner tonight) make all the food. Honestly, the Enchilada De Pescado was perfection. It was a fish stew in creole sauce that Lauren recommended paired with the white rice and fried plantains. The shrimp in Garlic Sauce was flavorful with just the right amount of garlic. Fresh and tasty ingredients made right here. The tres leches cake so perfect, not too sweet and just right finished off the meal with coffee tonight. Don’t forget to start with a Mojito, you won’t be disappointed. I’m planning to come back tomorrow for the Cuban for lunch! So genuine and so charming!“

“The female staff spoke Spanish only so communication was lost in translation, only the female owner spoke English. They are incredibly busy as their sandwiches are delicious and popular. We ordered a beef sandwich (Pan Con Bistec), a classic Cuban sandwhich made with pork(Miami), and a Pepsi zero as they do not have diet Coke. This is a take out only joint. Food came quickly. I loved the classic Cuban sandwich, it reminds me of the Montreal sandwich. The portion was so big, we got 2 meals out of it. Ps: they do not accept cash, only credit card through their square machine. Sandwich was priced between $14.25 -$15.75, very reasonable.“

The fish was crispy and flavorful without being heavy, and both rice dishes were packed with flavor and cooked just right. “Just moved to the neighborhood, pass by this place often decided to stop, on a Sunday after church and was pleased to the findings. It's a Latin fruit stand location with a cafeteria, but It is welcoming for us Americans. I got a ½ gallon jug of Guanbana juice for $10 now that's a bargain. I have bought drink at other place 1 cup $7, this is a bargain. I also bought a plate of food rice & peas, steak, and tostones $10, lots of food. Picked up some more fruits and other things. Prices not too steep, very reasonable. Place is clean and friendly too. They do speak Spanish bur willing to talk English just be patience.“

Now, let's talk about the food: simply spectacular. I tried the **boliche**, and it was bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy, and the chorizo stuffing added an incredible touch. The portions are generous, and every bite is an explosion of authentic Cuban flavors. You can't miss the rice with black beans, which complements any main dish perfectly!

To top it off, the desserts are amazing. The coconut flan is, without a doubt, the best I've ever had. They also serve Cuban coffee, which is the perfect final touch to a memorable meal.

Atmosphere. There isn't any. Its on the 2nd floor of a hotel, and it feels like a hotel bar.
Service was great. They checked on us frequently, refilled our water and fixed the temp of our meal when it came incorrectly.
Food. The pork shank, recommended by our server, was right on the money. The steak, was tasty but expensive for what it was. A thin piece of ribeye. The mushroom sauce that accompanied the steak was very good (requested to be placed on the side - if only it didn't have a layor of oil). Overall, it was a good meal better than okay but not worth the 4 stars. We won't be rushing to go there again anytime soon. On a side note, outdoor seating is a balcony area.“

“Everything about the food was pretty on point, and the presentation was the biggest highlight, but the price was simply too high to justify the portions of a lot of dishes, which is why I have decided to give this establishment a 4 instead of 5 stars, but if one doesn't mind the price, then I think this spot is worth a visit and even repeated visits.

For the ropa vieja, the beef was very tender since it was slow-cooked for 5 hours, and the tomato sauce offered a good flavor addition. I added black beans to the dish as well which I would highly recommend for others to do the same. My partner had the day's catch and was offered a piece of fish which was pretty delicious, but for $30 it was a bit too much. The picadillo a la habanera had good criolla sauce, which defined the flavor of the dish. We ordered a flan and an arroz con leche as well, and both desserts were tasty and decorated beautifully, especially the golden sugar crust on the arroz con leche, which almost resembled the crème brûlée sugar top. In terms of drinks, the piña colada didn't taste like an alcoholic drink, which could be a hit or miss depending on who's having it. The guava juice tasted very fresh, which subsequently made it not very sweet, which we were more than okay with.

I also felt like the instructions for water were not very clear, because it seemed like my partner was led on to believe that still water was free, but we were charged $14 for it at the end. There was also a 20% service fee which I clarified with the waiter that it didn't count as tip. However, the suggested gratuity was roughly 7% to 12% based on the bill. All this information is simply to keep other customers aware. The food was still pretty on point above all else.“
