“Got off the beaten path today with my wife to try St. Augustine Fish Camp for lunch. We’re really glad we did too. Everything about or visit was amazing. Seated quickly, Josh and Cody were very attentive to all or needs as were all the staff. Food was presented well, it was fresh, hot and tasted great! Well done Fish Camp!“

This place offered an elevated dining experience. It wasn’t your typical local food joint. We only had appetizers and drinks, but that was enough to know it was exactly what our foodie hearts were craving.
We tried two craft cocktails—the Double Vision and the Lavender Haze. Whoever came up with the idea of mixing carrot, ginger, whiskey, and fennel was pure genius. It was such an exciting drink, perfectly made—we could’ve easily had a few more. The lavender drink was equally refreshing and intoxicating.
Small menu - which we love. We like when restaurants perfect everything, instead of a large menu where everything is mediocre.
We enjoyed the fish and sausage egg roll.
I’m a Minorcan chowder girl, and I could’ve easily swum in a bathtub of that tasty conch soup. It was that good.
The atmosphere was peaceful and beautiful, setting the perfect vibe for an intimate experience. Everything about the vibe was just right.“

Cocktails were good. Great story about Horse Soldier Bourbon. Great bourbon selection, enjoyed craft cocktails. Food was just alright and was very expensive. Two cocktails, one app, one salad and a steak $111. Probably wouldn’t eat here again but would stop in for cocktails. No parking, wouldn’t bring kids here, wheel chair accessible.“

“This is the best lobster roll I have ever had in my life and it’s worth every penny. The mouth watering lobster on the perfectly light toasted roll just fabulous. Great outside area to sit and cool upstairs also if you want to be inside . I was there a few Saturdays back in the day and saw such a cool Reggae band that even boosted the atmosphere more . Great service. The manager Caleb was very accommodating to myself and my family.“

Then had the calamari, crab burger and crab legs, everything was cooked perfectly 👌 The datil sauce was so incredible, bought a couple jars of it. “What a gem St Augustine has in its’ midst! We recently visited the fine establishment after reading previous reviews and was overwhelmed by the kindness and expertise of the owner! We were novices and had never prepared blue crab before. Instead of being annoyed at our lack of knowledge, he explained at great length and in easy to understand detail, how to prepare his delicious crab in several different ways. We served up a delightful, delicious meal that evening! The seafood was exceptional! He and his small business is a real asset to the community! You won’t be disappointed!!!!“

“New Location on San Marco is an underrated location to be. Excellent food and drinks some of the best in saint Augustine without any fanfare and fighting for parking. Oysters were CLEAN and excellent. It was a bit noisy inside but it’s a new space that should get filled in. Will definitely be back.“

We happened upon this place off of I95 in our way home.
They've got an extensive seafood menu, great specials, and a salad bar!
Everything is delicious, friendly service.

“We had no prior knowledge of Blackfly. We chose it because it was close to our rental.  We smiled as soon as we walked in the side door leading to the bar area and everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves. The further we entered the very well decorated restaurant the more we knew we had made a good choice.  To us, the best reason to visit St. Augustine is dining at the Blackfly!  We went all out and had drinks,  appetizers, their version of Coquille St. Jacques and their Chilli lime shrimp. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection with exceptional sauces. Main course was a Chef's Special which was baked shrimps, scallops over a bed of thai noodles and a sauce to die for.  I had the bone in Pork chop cooked medium rare and it was delicious.  Blackfly has a vast selection of wines in their wine cellar and we enjoyed a nice Honig sauvignon blanc.   Kudos to Matt, our server, who throughout the evening gave us the right amount of attention and space to relax for our entire dining experience.  The food was so good and well prepared that I was compelled to go to the kitchen to thank the staff and gave a large tip for the kitchen staff . Our evening at Blackfly was the highlight of our trip.  Thank you Vaughn and staff, you have an outstanding establishment.“

Well let me tell you the 2 bartenders Taylor & Lena were the best!! So fun watching them being “mixologists”….so good!! They were so sweet too! And of course our drinks were sooo good, “a chocolate covered kiss and simple beer for the hubby!”. But to top it off Eddie, the chef came out and delivered a special dessert to me. “We are repeat customers and have always enjoyed our experience here. This time was less enjoyable. We were greeted by an unenthusiastic hostess outside after waiting longer-than-expected to be addressed. The food tasted good, but the value for money is not as good as it had been in the past.“

“Just thought I was gonna go into this little joint. I was pretty fooled when I stepped in to a totally different atmosphere, a place where all the locals come, and it was packed, sat at the bar Andrew the bartender took care of us. He was amazing. He was on top of his game. Nothing unusual for him whatever he suggested was excellent service excellent food excellent wine excellent I drank sangria from Spain so did everybody else in the place? It’s my new go to it’s a hidden gem and I really thought this was just a joint and didn’t know if I was actually gonna eat here but was T fooled thank you so much guys for your food and service will bring all my friends and family to you.“
