“Of course the seafood is downright delicious at Captain Craig’s Restaurant. What was unexpected is the sublime homemade key lime pie. It is the real deal, complete with a beautiful toasted meringue topping on this glorious rendition of this classic dessert. If you have no room for dessert, I recommend ordering a piece of the pie to go.“

“This is always my first stop in the Keys. Great family owned business with quality food at a fare price. If you like authentic Cuban cuisine this is your place. It’s right on the creek so it’s a great place to watch the boats go by and enjoy lunch or dinner on the water.“

“We stayed at Ceekside in last summer and this cute little bar was just a short walk away. The bartender was super friendly and accommodating. We also met some awesome new friends there! Looking forward to visiting again this summer! This was our best memory of our vacation last year! ❤️“

“We went at 9 PM and were able to get one of the best Greek salads I’ve ever had with a perfect cheese pizza followed by a house made Tiramisu…… washed down with an ice cold Miller light ……. friendly service, great food and a great local atmosphere with boats docked right outside……“

“Twisted Shrimp was delicious. Thomas (the waiter) was a hoot. My party of 4 all had something different. We also shared two desserts. It was all good. Indoor seating is limited. We ate outdoors and was visited by an Iguana in the tree. (sweet!) I recommend anything on the menu. Great place to eat!“

“On our 2nd visit to Island Grill, we had the spicy salmon bowl, and mahi tacos. They were both good with nice flavor combinations and ingredients. The reason this place doesn’t get 5 stars, from us, is their special menu that they have around happy hour time. We had come a couple days earlier, excited to try their tuna nachos (which we saw on like 10 other menus throughout the trip, so although theirs are the original, it’s not the only place to order them). Only to find a special happy hour menu that was confusing and charged $15 extra for us to share the nachos. Seriously? It was just two of us and we should be able to choose how we eat. A $15 surcharge is ridiculous. I think that was my first time walking out of a restaurant. We didn’t even order because I didn’t feel like they deserved our money. The only reason we ended up back there another time was because friends brought us and really wanted to go. Atmosphere is important for us and the surcharge for sharing food with my husband did not feel like a welcoming or casual atmosphere.“

“My cousin and I go down to key West about two times a year. On the way back up we always stop at this restaurant. We especially like the seafood chowder which is in our opinion the best. You can sit at the bar and look out at the ocean while you sip on a drink and eat the great food. I highly recommend Wahoo's.“

“Omg the shrimp here was amazing! Great selection of beer too. I got the shrimp basket fried in piña colada batter, which gave it an awesome coconut flavor. It came with a side of my choice, so I went with the mac n’ cheese. Definitely not healthy, but honestly such a great dinner. My husband had the shrimp and grits, which were packed with amazing flavor.
The ambiance was laid-back and chill, which was perfect after a long day. Lots of great food options too!
The servers were so sweet and attentive. You could tell they had great teamwork and were all helping each other.
Overall, it’s such a fun spot with yummy food, and the prices were reasonable. Already dreaming about the fried shrimp!!! We also ordered the key lime pie with chocolate to go, and we’re excited to enjoy it as a snack later!“

“We dined here on vacation, and will return the next time we're in the Keys. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. Bill, our server, was welcoming and attentive. They have an extensive wine list and menu, but this was probably one of the best Delmonico ribeye streaks I've had in a long time. The atmosphere is a cut above your local tourist dining attractions.“

“A very pleasant time with the family over a meal, the room is well air-conditioned, the staff takes great care, the setting is superb. The food is fresh and of good quality, it's rare in the US to find such fresh dishes at this price. This is an address not to be missed!“

“That was an amazing Thanksgiving meal. I'm a local that doesn't want to get strung up w hi test mono, for supporting a resort restaurant. I'm down for the cause, my kids are conchs, and I haven't been off the rock for anything but vacation and business trips since Amazon. But you gotta give credit where credit is due. The staff at this restaurant deserve an Amen. It occurred to me, the people working at the resort are people that work & live here too. ? And I'd recommend anybody in upper or lower M to give this place a try again. This Chef has got it, that was Fire?️ The service team is great and clearly managed well?, and the manager is sensible enough to be attentive, but not overbearing which is a lost art, that I really appreciate??♂️ I've hired and fired dozens of chefs and managers. I've eaten from Napa to New York. I was particularly impressed with the gentleman at the carving station, who seemed to have French training. But even if he has not, that's even more impressive because he figured it out with an intuition of food and courtesy. But most importantly, he clearly cared about what he was doing.?? Personally, I'd rather have an employee with intuition and a real love of food, than one that knows escoffier. It's been a while since I was pleasantly surprised with Food and Service. Thanksgiving at my grandmothers was "farm to table", because of seasons, and livestock. So anyway, I just like to thank everyone for a great meal. It was a special day for me and I just wanted to say thank you to the staff. I always have low expectations with food at high-end resorts because that's been my experience. From coast to coast, they have 800$ a night rooms, immaculate landscaping, some Ivy League corporate conceptual identity for the property... And then they always miss the mark on something so important, the food that they serve. It was so refreshing to see such an old local icon be the exception to this rule, and I salute everybody working there. I've loved the Islander since the Samuels owned it. And I really hope it can become a locals place again. Yo, it's as simple as Field of dreams. If you build it, they will come. Just keep putting out quality. You don't need marketing if you make great food, social media and the Coconut telegraph will market the place for you. And ain't nobody weeping a tear about the downfall of paid advertising. Lol. Every day women and men figured out how to do it themselves. Kick rocks, ?♀️suits. The moms got it. welcome to the future. The comment box doesn't have a lock anymore. Anyway, ??Lord have mercy on poor souls that have to cook against this guy and his team in competitions once they catch their stride. Probably be courteous some emotional support animals and some Kleenex for the other team along with the gear and the rig ??. Anyway, I would just like to say to the entire staff it was really great to be surprised with delicious food and great service. I know it's hard to work on Thanksgiving. I've had three off in my entire adult life so anyway, I salute you. I'll post this to my main Tripadvisor, that has like a half million views. As soon as I figure out this IOS.update.installed..nothing.works.fml.lol.3 Hope y'all have a good shift ☮️?“

“Had a great time here. Couple of decent food stands central to all the little shops.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not very, but you might be able to make it work. There are some stairs and gravel that would make you have to get creative.“

“A beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean and a very swift service by the pool. The wings and the tuna nachos were a great appetizer before we fished off the pier. The make a really great margarita at the bar!
Parking: Once you enter the resort facility, go to the left and there’s a gravel parking lot in which to park for the restaurant or for visitors.
Kid-friendliness: It’s a family resort and has a restaurant at the pool with a bar and chairs with umbrellas to sit under. Bathrooms are located across from the bar to the right near the painted wall with the green eel and other colorful fish wall art.“
“The new owners as of 8/1/2024 are awesome! Bad weather canceled my charter, they rented me rods and reels to do some jetty fishing. Super nice, helpful and a very affordable rate. They saved my trip, and treated me like a good neighbor. The gear was new condition and exactly what I needed.“

“They kept the charm of the old Marker 88 in little details like keep the 2 GREEN covered table and benches almost in the same location as before... a iconic scene was shot in one of them on a episode of BLOODLINE. Food is as good if not better than before if that is possible.... service is excellent too. Friendly staff including hostess/host and waitresses/waiters very impressed with the new dock and WOW EVERY table has a GREAT view to take in LOTS of selfies were being taken during my visit, I celebrated my 78th Birthday 1 day before and had Fresh Mahi Mahi Tacos for Lunch. So happy they did a complete do over after the destruction from the hurricane that so much damage to the beautiful Keys. Welcome Back Marker 88! Happy to see you there....“

“Food was great. I love that this place I'd pet friendly. Great view, however the customer set needs a little work, it wasn't busy at all, maybe 3 tables an it took more than 15 minutes to get a drink. Appetizers and food were brought at the same time to the table.“
