“I go there regularly for lunch. Their lunch special is great! It comes with a drink and is filling for under $10! It does take about 10 minutes to get your food as it is cooked to order. If you dine in, they bring it to your table on a real china. I can't speak for their dinner menu.“
“I have had a few friends tell me good things about this place and I was equally impressed. This restaurant is very small and it's first come first serve as they do not take reservations. It has a nice contemporary japanese atmosphere. Our waitress, Emily, was lovely and extremely accommodating along with some excellent recommendations like the valentine roll. The sushi, folks, is some of the best I have had--and I eat sushi often and almost everywhere I travel. It's extremely fresh and they have some new bright ideas for rolls with contemporary presentations. Whatever you do, try the dragon balls -- a zany name for a delicious appetizer. Beer, wine as well as both hot and cold Saki are available. They also make some specialty drinks from Saki and wine. This is a do not miss if you are a sushi lover.“
“Spectacular service and Awesome food. I wanna highlight Tanya, Georgie, Sally and Jada. I've been in this industry for a long time and I have to say they deliver a 5 star experience! if you wanna have a one of a kind hospitality and service you need to there!“
“I remember when this business was Chop Chop Shop, further up in Florida ave. It was dangerous living so close. Ever since the relocation/rebrand they have expanded their menu and made the ambience unbelievably awesome! I've gotten takeout and dined in. Love their rice bowls and their pancakes. Such a nice spot. The wait is never more than ~5-8 minutes. The tablets you order off of make it really hard to choose what you want because all the pictures look so good!“
“5 stars! Everything deserves 5 stars. Super clean, super friendly, super fast service. Very large space.Food: so yummy!!!My faves: avocado salad, shumai (steamed shrimp dumpling), a hibachi (small portion of meat), and OMG SALMON tartar is like a salmon ceviche with mangoes. The green tea ice cream wow!Want to try next time: katsu and maybe squid salad. Also, rainbow or king Kai roll.Desserts: fried cheese cakeThe food is soooooo fresh and expertly seasoned. So yummy. High quality ingredients! You must come. The staff is also 5 stars“
“The food is great, specially the sashimi, they are alway fresh. The thai food is good too. I been here 3 times already and never been disappointed. Their lunch menu is different from weekend and week day FYI. We got potsticker, steam dumpling, 3 lunch dishes (those included miso and eggroll) and wonton soup. And try out their thaitea. For the area the prices are good.“
“We came here to celebrate 2 birthdays and it was just perfect. This was our first time and we were really impressed with Zai (our amazing waiter) and Andy (manager who makes amazing shots). There are no words to explain the excellent service we received from Zai. He made sure we were well taken care off and was always on top of things. The food was not too bad. As you can imagine it is an all you can eat restaurant therefore you cannot expect top of the line sushi and steak but they do offer such a wide variety that I am pretty sure you will find something extraordinary for your taste buds. The ambiance is so cute. Really like how they decorate the restaurant. It's is pretty nice looking. Overall we really enjoyed our time here and hope you will as well.“
“Angus: The Epitome of Exceptional Service at KobesIf you've ever had the pleasure of dining at a hibachi restaurant, you understand that the experience extends far beyond just the food. It's a performance, a culinary journey, and above all, an opportunity for exceptional service to elevate the evening. In the realm of such service, Angus reigns supreme at KobesFrom the moment we were seated at our table, Angus's humor and professionalism set the tone for what would be an unforgettable dining experience. His welcoming smile and genuine demeanor instantly put us at ease, making us feel like honored guests in his own home. What truly set Angus apart, however, was his attentiveness to every detail of our dining experience. He anticipated our needs before we even realized them ourselves, ensuring that our drinks were always replenished and our every request was met with a smile. But it was Angus's genuine passion for hospitality that left the most lasting impression. He didn't just serve food; he created memories. Angus's enthusiasm was infectious, enhancing our enjoyment of the meal tenfold. In a world where exceptional service is increasingly rare, Angus is a shining beacon of hospitality. His dedication to excellence, coupled with his warm demeanor and undeniable skill, make him a true asset to Kobes. If you're fortunate enough to dine at this establishment, do yourself a favor and request Angus as your server. Your taste buds will thank you, and your heart will be warmed by the experience of dining with a true master of his craft.“
“Always pleased with the service here! The staff is super friendly and the sushi is great, especially for the price. I can mostly only eat cooked sushi, and there are a lot of options for me. They can even torch the raw fish if you'd like. I usually get the lunch special which comes with 2 rolls and a miso soup or salad. For dinner, the Volcano Roll or Monster Roll is good too!“
“Did the 20 course Omakase. The room is beautiful and spa like with the soft lighting and design. Extra details include offering pads to rest your phone on top of, bag hooks under counters, guests selecting their own chopsticks, hot towels, etc. While these are great, service is a bit choppy. I asked for a glass of champagne three times. It felt service overlooked our party of four while some others got extra attentiveness. It’s natural when they ordered more beverages but I didn’t feel like anyone came over to talk to us about any recommendations either. Twice, the chef had to wait for service to mark with new silverware while food waited to be served including ice cream melting. The menu consists of the usual items with some exciting ingredients but slightly underwhelming. Knowing Michelin stars are given out in the US a little more easily than other countries, my guess is Michelin will award them 1 star. If you’ve had omakase before, you may be disappointed but it’s not bad, it’s actually pretty solid. Definitely good for Tampa.“
“It's a very nice place, it's one of those places you wish was closer to home. I ordered the sweet green tea, the sushi fries, and the Coral Reef roll. All of it was great, I really wish I could try every roll over time but I'm not from the area at all.Would recommend for sushi enjoyers.“
“Definitely try the sushi rolls! We had the JD roll, monster roll, and dynamite roll. ALL fresh tasting with good quality ingredients. I'm usually picky about sushi as I get really good rolls in NYC. This would def compare to anything I get there.“
“I took my mother out on her birthday on April 2nd to this place after a friend of mine suggested it, and my word, did it truly exceed our expectations.Let's start with the atmosphere first, it felt like you were walking straight into Japan, from a nice koi pond up front to its cultural themes all the way up to the tables themselves, the people there were also extremely friendly as well greeting you with open arms, it is a great mix of American and Japanese cuisines combined. You can tell this place truly respects its Japanese roots and we were all for it. The tables also gave you the opportunity to socialize and make new friends along the way which was a nice touch as it's not everyday you get to see such a layout like this.Let's move on to the waitress and the chef for the evening. Our waitress was Hailey and our chef was Steven. They were both excellent people to be around, Hailey's enthusiastic attitude really says a lot about offering great service as she really loves her job and she always brings a smile to people's faces. As for Chef Steven, he really blew us away with his cooking skills, he had a great sense of humor as he entertained us with hilarious food centric jokes as he was cooking our meals, you can tell he had a blast with his job from start to finish, that's how great of a chef he was, he and Hailey were by far the best parts of our experience. Now we move on to the food. We ordered the Kobe Combo and the Sumo Special, and boy were they scrumptious! Chef Steven's presentations of our meals didn't disappoint at all, they were very well cooked and perfected to the core to get that mouth-watering taste, all their food options are nice, but the Kobe Combo and the Sumo Special were by far the best options they had to offer. Finally, let's talk about what they do for birthdays. They put cute little chef hats on top of you as a nice gesture, after that, it follows with the waiters, chefs and even the restaurant owners playing drums and singing in both English and Japanese to spice things up, last but not least, they serve a wonderful little cupcake, if you want to celebrate your birthday at a Japanese restaurant, this is the place to go!In conclusion, I highly recommend this place from the bottom of my heart. We most definitely look forward to returning a second time pretty soon when we get the chance.“
“Old Heights feels like going to your favorite grandma’s house (the one you actually like) and having a great meal. Everything on the menu is good, the rotating specials are great, and the staff makes you feel right at home. A small and intimate dining experience.“
“First time trying them after seeing the great reviews and realizing I worked close. I got the chicken teriyaki w/ white rice and veggies there; and wow. it was so fresh and delicious! I work at the Camping World across the street. I'll definitely be coming in more often to grab lunch. Thanks for lunch ladies!“
“I had the Po Boy Roll at Sakana's and it was amazing! I loved how diverse their menu was and my meal was great! I topped it off with Tempura Ice Cream which was also delicious! Sakana's tucked away, but it's a classy gem of a place and I highly recommend it!“
“Randomly pulled into this sushi spot and am GLAD I did! The manager, Brooke, sat me immediately & Kyle, my waiter was very attentive. Had their 2 roll lunch special w/miso soup which hit the spot. The sake was enjoyable as well. Would certainly stop by again when in the area. It was exactly what I needed.“
“I come here all the time!! The new West Shore Roll is super good! It was extra crunchy! Besides having good music, the staff was very attentive and made sure I was okay! Sorry about asking for so much ginger :) love coming here!Vegetarian options: There’s a fresh roll and really good saladsKid-friendliness: Open to all!!“
“Amazing food, great service, and a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. I ordered online and picked up but the service was still so nice.Vegetarian options: They have some nice options for vegetarians. The avocado and sweet potato rolls are amazing!“

“Who knew this little gem existed in that strip mall off of Bloomingdale Avenue. The Godzilla Roll was out of this world amazing. I have never had a stuffed crab, but the Happy Krab was delicious. We also devoured the Out of control Roll and the Hawaiian Roll. Everything was exceptional and will most definitely be back.“
“Very good option for all-you-can eat and traditional sit-down. Truly great service from the whole staff. Sushi is good on the all-you-can-eat eat menu but a little limited as you would expect. Entrees are exceptional though. Noodle dishes were banging. It's nice to finally have a place like this closeby. No need to go to Tampa anymore. PS. Very clean and well maintained bathtooms. LOLVegetarian options: They should certainly adapt for vegetarian. Very kind and attentive staff.Parking: Big commercial lot. Publix basically next door.Kid-friendliness: Overall casual and relaxed vibe. Kids welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible. Bathrooms are good size and private.“
“If I could give them a zero I would. My friend went there today and she was refused service because she has a skin disease called psoriasis. Shame on you all. You need to get educated the disease is not contagious I hope you and your ignorant staff learn some manners.“
“What a great place to have dinner. Food was good, services was attentive and respectful. Atmosphere could be improved with music to match the vibe. I started with some nachos and followed with 3 Suchi Rolls Volcano, Firecracker, and Paradise with hot Saki. The table was confortable but it was rather loud in the restaurant.some pictures from our video review from TikTok.“
“I have been coming to Crazy Cafe for over 10 years now, at least twice a month if not weekly. Out of all of the sushi places I have tried and frequented, this is my absolute favorite sushi location in all of Tampa Bay! The food is delicious, from sushi boats, sushi, sashimi, specialty rolls, hibachi, tempura, and more, everything is always very fresh and beautifully presented. The staff, especially Eva, are always so kind, efficient, and caring. Eva always takes the time to ask about my day, my work, and life in general. I always feel so welcomed and leave feeling full and happy! The service is absolutely top notch and very quick too! The location itself is very beautiful, with very detailed decor and a large dining space. They always have relaxing music playing which creates a lovely atmosphere overall. I have celebrated many occasions here and highly recommend Crazy Cafe to everyone!“
“First of all I like to say this establishment is just the best, this being a regular place me and my family frequent. The food is just amazing from the simple edamame to the signature rolls, it all meets the flavors anyone could be searching for.“
“A nice little sushi place that’s hidden in the depths of Downtown Tampa. This place isn’t in the best condition being under a parking garage, as the floors were dirty. However, there were some redeeming points about the decor; like the mural on the wall. The service was very friendly and was quick with our food. The food here is great! I enjoyed my Crab Rangoon here. The chicken curry had a great flavor to it, as well as the rice. My sushi tasted alright, but it wasn’t excellent as the curry. Overall, would come here if you’re willing to get some Japanese food in Downtown Tampa.“
“It's fast food and mainly takeout with a small sitting area to eat in.The food is good and fresh. The sushi chef made the sushi burrito in front of me. I'm getting that the next time I go there!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Hibachi“
“My daughter and I love sushi! We have been trying to find a good place in the Seffner area for our "Daddy-Daughter" dates. This place is a hidden gem! It is very affordable, the food is great, the environment and service are great, and for some reason there are rarely many other people there. It has become one of our favorite places to go. Highly recommend!“
“Probably the best ramen shop in Tampa. Heads-up there's no shichimi powder in the store. The home-made chili sauce is a must-try. Perfect spot for a Saturday or Sunday hangover-busting brunch. Nice place for a dinner date without denting your wallet.“
“This was our first time here, per recommendation. We wanted a sushi roll that was full of flavor with a bit of heat, the diablo delivered. We were recommended, chef’s choice, the Raising Sun roll. It was subtle enough to let the buttery flavors of the the fish shine. We were generously gifted with a cucumber and fish bite, and a round stuffed crisp treat. Which by the way were so good. The round stuffed treat was a burst of flavor. We also ordered the traditional sides. We will definitely come back and try other things off the menu. Everything was delicious and satisfying.“
“Whoo Whoo! Hi Y’all, It’s been a while since my last review.Reach me @play.ste.le ?This small Quick-service restaurant is all you need to look for Authentic Japanese food ? in? Downtown Tampa? I ordered for the first time and LOVE IT!!!Japanese Beef Curry - the taste of Curry is actually very juicy and mouthful pairing with Rice. I also have little plum pickle on the side as you could see in the picture.Shumai - Chewy Chewy! And Yummy Yummy. You should try this out too. ?Whenever you’re craving for Authentic Japanese Food. Check Junmai Station out’!!! ??Vegetarian options: The restaurant menu contains certain veggie dishes, which tastes Amazing and Japanese Authentic.“
“This place is AMAZING. If anyone out there likes Yamato Japanese Hibachi as much as I do, their yakisoba tastes the EXACT same here, at a much cheaper price. Steak was cooked excellently, and came out very fast. Cashier was also very kind. Will go again.“
“You have never had sushi until you come here . Maybe I shouldn’t hype this place up . I don’t want to be on a waiting list ! lol my daughter and I loved it !!Parking: I think they’ve outgrown this place . They need different location . Moving on up !!!“
“Well! Loved the FLORIDA ROLL! That is what I am looking for ‘salmon, avocado, tuna, and cream cheese’. Needed cucumber as well :) I also ordered rainbow sushi but it was not delicious, rice was hot and I think it was changing the taste of sushi. Oh! I also do not recommend the Miso soup. There was a small cube tofu in it, just one. And taste was weird, maybe because of the water of the soup, I don’t know. As overall, it was good. I went there at 9.30 pm. The foods’ taste can be fresher in early times“
“If you ever find yourself craving Japanese food after midnight, this is the place to go. I drove 45 minutes from Largo and was worried it was gonna be a waste of time, but I’m very pleased to report that wasn’t the case. Not only was the food quality fantastic, but the prices were pretty low compared to most other Japanese places I’ve been to (the ramen here starts at about $13 compared to $16-17 at other Tampa restaurants). I got the katsu curry, 5 piece nigiri set, fried cheesecake, and 2 extra pieces of nigiri and it all came out to just $30. Very highly recommended!“
“This place is one of the best sushi joints around. There’s always other southeast asian folks dining here so I assume it’s pretty authentic. Their eel is amazing. Their takoyaki is also very good. I highly recommend the dragon roll as well. The waitress is phenomenal she knows all her regulars and so do the chefs. Love this place.“
“Title: Sushi Avenue: A 12-Year Culinary Love AffairFor 12 years, Sushi Avenue has been my sushi sanctuary. With its fresh fare, impeccable service, and wallet-friendly prices, this spot in Tampa never disappoints. Whether you're a sushi veteran or a newcomer, it's a must-visit destination.“
“Wow what a great experience here! I get the craving for poke almost every day and have been to some of the best spots in Arizona as there everywhere, not very many here. This is the best tasting poke bowl I have ever had and the customer service was fantastic from Joe and Dennis. Decent service is very rare these days but theses guys went over and beyond with a big and friendly smile. Thanks to the owners for keeping Quality people!“
“This restaurant is amazing!!…The food, the staff, the ambience!..all amazing!!…Went there last evening with family to celebrate my birthday and had an amazing dinner and an amazing time!!…Can’t say enough good things about our server Elissa and our chef Shawn!!…Elissa took incredible care of us from start to finish and never once did we have to ask for drink refills or anything!!…and Shawn is an awesome chef and not only cooked everything perfectly for us, but kept us smiling and laughing while cooking for us. I highly recommend Kobe for anyone wanting a great meal with great staff and a great ambience!!…Believe me when I say you won’t be disappointed and won’t leave hungry!!“
“Food was good but the service we received was excellent! Our waitress was really nice and took good care of us and the food came out really fast. I would definitely recommend this place. We got here kind of early for dinner and the place was nice and clean and quiet.“
“The Best Sushi-grill locations I have ever been to. Words cannot describe how fresh the food is. So delicious. You have a choice from a variety of different cooked or premium sushi rolls and amazing Hibachi meals. Everything on the menu is worthy. The service is magnificent. Very fast n friendly. We plan on returning again and again!“
“Traveling through Tampa. We liked everything overall. The waitress/hostess Lacey was absolutely wonderful! Crab ragoon wasn't crispy as we expected, but decent. Saturday special on sushi! Buy 1 get 1 half off. Fried rice- shrimp & veggie were delish. Minus the shrimp. Both rice & sushi shrimp was over cooked & rubbery. Honestly still enjoyed meals, would come back if we were traveling Tampa again. Lacey is 5 stars!“
“It was pretty crazy. It surpassed what I expected...The fried shrimp tempora roll was really good and fancy looking... The fried burritos were really good. I had the Kickin Chicken fried with Cheetos. My friend had the Fry Me In The River. He said "it was basically just a sushi burrito bro that Shht was good" lol.The apps we got spicy couliflower and pork wantons they were good but considering everything else kind of light really. But if you want to spend some more money and get something they are good. Just not really necessary. The service was was fine. Order on the kiosk or online. They work slow making this food. You can watch them. They do a really good, clean and neat job though. There is small bar type seating all along the wall to wait or eat if you want. Friday night expect to wait 30 minutes... Wasn't a bad wait though. This place is definitely worth a try. I'll be back.Parking: In the strip mall plaza.“
“Great place to eat. I love the chicken and shrimp here they also give you sauce and chopsticks with it. Service is great they always pay attention to your orders the only thing that I didn’t like is that they don’t use gloves and they do touch your food while cooking it but the food is great and so is the service.“
“Very fresh food with a wide variety of options. Price is very reasonable. Our server Sally was wonderful, she provided excellent service and recommended us many awesome dishes. We will be back soon!Vegetarian options: They can make vegetarian sushi and hibachi. Just inform your server like my sister did.Parking: Plenty of parking“
“A staple of South Tampa.Being a non sushi lover married to a sushi fanatic can be trying. The majority of sushi houses don't leave much on the menu if sushi is not your thing. Yoko's is the exception. Many items that are fully cooked and a house rice dish that has every protein in the book. The wife loves their rolls and we have never had a bad experience.“
“Worth the trip and looks like the owners have a few other locations. The staff was very friendly and efficient with handling so many orders non stop. The food was also delicious and so was every plate I saw them hand out. Highly recommend giving them a visit and if you’re with someone that doesn’t like sushi, there are plenty of other walk up restaurants in the immediate area for them to spend a few dollars at while you get the best that money can buy at Zukku.“
“Really cool building and the sushi was amazing. I have a gluten allergy and was able to get GLUTEN FREE soy sauce. They also were able to make some tempura rolls just normal so that they were gluten free.Dietary restrictions: Gluten allergy“
“I have been coming here for 10 years. My husband and I drive one hour just to come here because it is the best sushi restaurant I've visited in my life. The food and the service are amazing. The crab rangoon roll is my favorite along with their own home made eel sauce. Even missed these flavors while tasting sushi in Japan, where eel souce was unheard of.“
