“I come during the off-lunch hours around 12:30 during weekdays, when the restaurant is quieter. The lunch menu prices are competitive with other sushi bars in the area and they are the only sushi restaurant left with a hijiki roll.

Hijiki is a stewed black seaweed, which has to be done in-house in a specific way or the texture is ruined. Plus it's become super-expensive. Hijiki is also very high in K, iron, and other nutrients, plus fiber. I have never had bad hijiki here.“

“I can’t believe it’s been over 3 years since Noble Rice opened and this was our very first visit! It absolutely blew us away. The service was impeccable. Hostess Angel greeted us warmly, and our server Allison A. was simply outstanding ~ easily one of the best experiences we’ve had anywhere in Tampa. We started with drinks, and every single one was perfect. The Lychee Martini was smooth and floral, the Espresso Martini had just the right kick, and the Haku ~ their version of a Moscow Mule ~ was phenomenal. My husband is a self-proclaimed Moscow Mule connoisseur, and he gave it high praise. The food? Next-level. The Tuna Carpaccio was the star of the show ~ literally melted in our mouths. We also loved the Classic Poké, Tempura Poké Rolls, and the Tekka Roll ~ all fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented with different types of soy causes for each. The only item that didn’t quite hit the mark for us was the Hanabi Maki ~ still very fresh, just not our personal favorite. I’m sure many others enjoy it! What really stood out was the service ~ something that has unfortunately been on the decline across Tampa in recent years. But at Noble Rice, everyone went above and beyond. Allison didn’t just take our order, she asked thoughtful questions about our taste preferences, made drink and dessert recommendations (the Panna Cotta dessert was heavenly), and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Our only wish? Larger portions ~ because everything was so good, we didn’t want it to end. An amazing 18th anniversary dinner!! We’ll absolutely be back. If you prefer cooked sushi rolls, I probably wouldn’t recommend coming during lunch since the selection was very limited. “Very nice place, seems very popular. Many appetizers both hot and cold to choose from. There was also many entrees and a large sushi menu. We ordered 5 rolls that was more than plenty to eat. It did not come out all together on a boat style plate like you see at many sushi restaurants but on individual plates because each roll had it's own accent sauce to it. Very delicious. Our server Heather was very attentive as well as the rest of the staff. We will be back.“

“Overall, I thought this restaurant was good, but I don’t think it was up to par with the Michelin service/food that’s usually expected. My friend and I are on the younger side and it was very obvious that we were being treated differently than some of the older people in the restaurant. We also were sitting in the middle of the restaurant, so my food was not coming out at the same time as my guest’s food, as we had separate chefs. The sushi was pretty solid, but I don’t think it was anything to rave about. What I did really enjoy was the duck and the Wagyu, which were the last two courses. If I were to do it over again, I would probably only get drinks and food at Tanto. We did not do the wine pairing, but had a bottle of wine. Our bill for 2 was $900.“

“I've been to Samurai Blue a few times now, and it has become one of my favorite sushi spots in Tampa. The fish has always tasted fresh, and I've never had a bad roll. The service is friendly without feeling rushed, and the staff is always happy to answer questions or make recommendations. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere that's great for either a casual dinner or a date night. While it's a little more expensive than some other sushi restaurants, I think the quality and experience make it worth the price. I'll definitely be back.“

The time I went I saw the waitress once initially and never got my drink refilled, at the end when we were finished, I called for a server, they never came and I had to finally go find one.
