“We had our first, and way overdue (!!!), time at Gene’s and damn we were we blown away. The food and drinks are second to none - indulgent and fun from apps to drinks to full plates and sides (we ate a lot!) Katie took care of us and she was the best - nailed the recommendations. Our favorites were Bushwacker, Gene’s Salad and Philly (special).

We’ll be back - for date night and with our kiddos. We had more that we wanted to try than our stomachs would allow for.

“Our first visit, we will be back! Great food. fast, friendly service! Weather was perfect so we sat outside on the deck. Very clean. The food is fresh, they smoke all their meat daily and they use locally sourced produce. They have a full bar. We shared the OG Salmon Chips - house smoked salmon, chipotle cream cheese, red onion & capers on house made potato chips (piucured) they are a little pricey at $16 for 5 servings but are piled high with fresh salmon so we weren't disappointed (they were great). We also had a Garden Chopped Bowl - (thick cut) house bacon, hard boiled egg, corn, red onion, tomato, avocado, bleu cheese and added Pulled Pork (pictured). Very good, highly recommend!“

“Service from the start was great with Sabrina. She was super nice and helpful. Sabrina assisted us with what to add to our whole hog sampler. We added spare ribs, smoked chicken wings, and onion rings to our order. The burned ends, spare ribs, smoked chicken wings, and onion rings were my favorite. I recommend the white sauce for dipping. Shu, the manager, gave us a tour of the pit and we met pit master,Angie. The whole staff was welcoming.“

I'm talking about the mother board from the " Hold my mule, standing on The Rock of jericho, Apostolic, christian missionary., won't he do it, blessed and highly flavored, the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, pentacostal, holliness church of Josea L Williams drive! I was at my place of employment and could not leave today for lunch. So to my surprise one of my tenants visited your restaurant today for lunch and she was nice enough to bring something back for me. She brought me back some beef ribs, collared greens , and Mac and cheese. From the first bite down to the very last everything was spectacular.
There are quite a few barbecue spots in the city of Atlanta that are good. But Georgia Boy Bbq cannot be touched! You can taste the time that was spent preparing each and every dish.
You can tell that the restaurant owner and his staff care about the product that is being sold. Thank you for being excellent at what you do and most definitely, I have found my new barbecue spot. The portions are a wonderful size. I couldn't even eat the entire plate myself. I had to put the rest up for later. Thank you so much to Ms. King for bringing me lunch./dinner today and thank you Georgia Boy BBQ for being a cut above the rest. okay i have typed enough lol. .... See you guys next week“

“We ate here after seeing Cirque du Soleil nearby with our two kids, 10 & 11. The restaurant was clean, and comfortably decorated. I wasn't worried too much about having what amounts to a grill in the middle of our table with the kids. It's obviously hot, but it's not like you'll lose a hand if you get too close here and there. Service was great. Our server was Yuki. He was very attentive, and explained how it worked, and answered any questions. When our food arrived, Yuki told us exactly what each item was, and exactly how long to cook it per side. Not a cheap place to go, especially with kids, but a nice treat after an otherwise fun-filled day with other new first experiences.“

“I come here at LEAST 3x a week. The wings are ALWAYS FRESH & FIRE ? ALWAYS!! I will say that I personally never order anything besides the wings only. I may someday try the fried rice. The reason for the 4stars is because my very very very 1st x coming here I tried a gyro ? & wings. The gyro was DISGUSTING & COLD!! However, the wings were GOODT. Which is why i continued to come back for the wings. Now, every time i go i get wings only & they are literally ALWAYS fresh & fire !!! I can’t recommend variety from them at the time but i DO recommend the wings & i recommend u give them a try ??“

“I enjoyed this restaurant. I went for lunch and while I paid $3 for hot water and a teabag, the bibimbap box was $15 and came with three small sides, a soup, and a salad. She has a ponytail with bangs) was the sweetest and made funny remarks. Our other server was a visibly irritated every time we asked for more sides, but maybe he just had a long day. “Let me start by saying, I have one word and that is SUPERB!!!!!! After a day of errands, Shauni and I were ready to eat. After executing a search on Yelp, I came across GQ BBQ and we decided to pull up. Y’all know I love me some BBQ. Upon arrival, the location was super to find as it sits on the main road. When pulling into the parking lot there is parking on both sides as well as parking in the back. The outside was clean and vibrant. We knew we were in for a treat as we were able to smell the bbq before even getting to the restaurant. Yes, the power of a good aroma to captivate the sense of smell. 😜 Heading inside, the location kept with the vibrant color on the walls as to draw your eyes to the menu. There are ample seating options as well so if you desire to eat in as we did, there is indoor and outdoor seating. Taking some time to review the menu, I decided on the Rib Dinner with Baked Beans, Collards, and I ordered two orders of cornbread as well and decided to not get the white bread that comes with the meal. To note, the cornbread is an extra charge. Once our order was placed, we took a seat and enjoyed the games that were playing on the televisions. As we were engrossed in conversation, before we knew it, our food was ready. I retrieved my plate and headed to my seat. The moment I opened that plate, my entire life smiled. After being enticed by the aromas, I was now overtaken by the visual presentation of this meal. As I opted for the sauce on the side, I was able to see the ribs in their naked state and capture the full fragrance of seasoned pork without the coverings of sauce. Babeeeeeeeeeee, GQ BBQ showed off with this meal. Let’s talk the food: Ribs: well seasoned, tender, meaty, minimal gristle, the right amount of fat for a nice chew, great portion size as the dish comes with ribs and rib tips. The sauce was an added layer of joy. I opted to mix their Gresham blend with the Sweet and my mouth had a full mouthgasm of robust flavors, joy, and excitement. These ribs were the absolute bomb with or without the sauce. Baked Beans: perfectly cooked, well seasoned, fresh. Collards: well doctored, tender,perfect pairing for the ribs. Cornbread: absolute gold status, perfectly sweet, cakey with a light crumble, buttery, golden baked, worth the extra cost. The cornbread is slightly small, so I would suggest getting three. LoL. Overall, GQ BBQ was an amazing experience. The ribs dominate the meal as they should, however, the sides compliment the ribs very well. The entire meal is a 10/10 and I will be back very soon for another order. Though I live nowhere near GQ BBQ, I will make sure to make my am way back a few times a year to have my soul fed and taste buds tantalized.“
