Nestled in Olive + Pine, you can find the entrance on Franklin. The place feels personable and intimate. Come to indulge in good music, good company, good food and good libations. Highly recommend.“

“Went here last night for a birthday dinner, we waited like 20-30 mins on a table, cause we had a large group. I had to come to give a review to the server Anthony!!! OMG, some of the best service I have had in a long time!! Definitely a great worker, and knows how to handle a large group… All our food came out correct, and HOT!!! He made sure our table was clean as soon as we were done, and our cups stayed full! He did all this great service, while wearing an orthopedic boot. He deserves recognition, and so does the cooks… The food was GREAT!!

“Popular restaurant that specializes in seafood. The place gets busy after 7 PM so make sure to have a reservation unless you’re willing to sit outside. Casual vibe and dress. The food is very good but not as great as hyped. Fish is fresh and starters very tasty. I recommend the crispy fried oysters, the Georgia apple salad, and the shrimps à la Plancha. They have extensive oyster selection. Service is very good especially if you’re in the first seating. After that, it can get pretty hectic. Three people for $260 including two drinks, desert and coffee it’s a splurge so plan accordingly. It’s in busy part of town with heavy traffic. You probably will use valet parking.“

“I went here with my wife for date Friday. I had to pay part but it was supposed to be valet, but the young man had me park my own car and then I had to pay $10. I had reservations at 8 PM and I wasn’t seated until about 8:15. I never like to sit next to the kitchen or bathroom, but that’s where I was seated, but it wasn’t too bad. Just not my preference, we were sitting there and we were offered Brad and butter spread which was pretty good but it took them about another 15 minutes for to bring it out to bring it out. The food is fresh so it took very long for them to prepare it all in all, it was delicious , and I will make the proper adjustments as far as seating when I return other than that I will say I had a great night. I did feel like I was in another country with the atmosphere. It was a bit loud with all the talking and having a good time ,

Parking: They do have valet, but you park your own car and pay“

Amazing first time experience at Alici! FOOD is fresh and delicious!! Beautiful decor of hanging lamps, fresh flowers on table, comfortable chairs and quiet inside. Love the large space inside and outside patio as well, great ambiance!

Our server Liz was wonderful and welcomed us by introducing the Italian-focused menu, very attentive and friendly service. For dinner, we ordered:

* Cherry Blossom drink - 5/5 refreshing, had two!
* Clams Posillipo - 5/5, about 1” sized clams in the most savory sauce!!! You’ll need more dipping bread for this (extra portions are $5 - which is kind of weird)!
* Zita Alla Vodka - 5/5, large portion of pasta, tasty sauce, portion is enough to share amongst 2 people if paired with a meat/fish.
* Crusted Halibat - 5/5, OMG goodness crispy outside, tender flaky juice inside!
* Crispy Cauliflower - 5/5, wish all vegetables tasted this good! Perfect sharing portions.
* Amalfi Cheesecake - 4/5, nice lemon curd flavor, but what makes this yummy is the wafer-thin sesame tuile (could eat a whole plate of that). Needs something else…

A++ highly recommend!

It’s an oyster bar, but I didn’t even have any…definitely will go back and check them out. Was here for a birthday celebration (they had a candle and small dessert), but perfect for any outing, casual or fancy.

Parking is big open lot, best to reserve a spot online.

Parking: It’s a busy parking lot at the Midtown Promenade! They recently added QR codes, etc to scan. Rates are 0-2 hrs FREE, 2-4 hrs $5, 4-5 $15, 5-6 hrs $30 and 6-24 $40. Best to walk here if you’re close.“

Inside Space is pretty small. They only had 7 seats. I don't think this place has a restroom for customers.

I ordered the Blackened Grouper and it is delicious. They make the food to order. The fish was fresh and fried in front of me. Pickle was decent. The mango hot sauce was a nice way to switch up the taste. The hot sauce is not too hot and adds flavor.“

We stopped by here on a sunny fall afternoon. The 75° weather made for a euphoric evening on the covered patio. The space between tables is ample, the crowd is pretty easy and we had a great experience. The tables were mostly filled with mature couples are groups.

The server was attentive and very invested in making sure that we were happy. Everything was timely without any errors. When I got my side of corn that had cheese in it, he replaced it quickly with something that worked.

I had the broiled scallops and shrimp. It wasn't amazing but it was a good meal. The fries were hot, crisp and really good. My wife and kid also really enjoyed the meals.

I look forward to returning.“

“I don’t live close to JJ so it’s always a treat when I’m in the area to grab some to take home. I ordered 3 wings and fries with 2 pieces of catfish. The cost was $20 because of the catfish. The food was hot and fresh, but the catfish wasn’t the same it was cooked hard but mushy on the inside. It was much better in past years. Overall the chicken wings and fries were delicious.“

“We went there for our 30th Anniversary. We were treated like royalty from the time we walked in . My husband arranged for flowers at our table and Preston took great care to ensure everything was perfect ! We were greeted with champagne and chocolates, was given complementary appetizers and a fresh bread service with a delicious smoked butter . Our server , Katlyn, had only worked there a couple months and she was so well versed on the ingredients and how everything was prepared . Everything was delicious and the service was 5 star ! The manager stopped by several times to make sure we were happy . We would recommend The Americano for any special occasion and will be back next year if not sooner .“

“I've eaten here plenty of times before, but this review is for Wahoo! Grill as a wedding venue. As a Decatur wedding photographer, I've photographed multiple weddings at Wahoo! Grill - you wouldn't know from the modest facade that it held a mini oasis out back, a space that can be transformed for intimate ceremonies and 100+ guest receptions alike.

Restaurants come and go, it's an incredibly hard business to get right (pandemics also don't help...) but as evidenced by being a long-time Decatur staple, obviously the food is great. One fewer thing to have to worry about when planning your reception!

If you're looking for a venue that's in a super convenient Decatur location, with tasty food, a beautiful ceremony/reception space, friendly capable staff and (last but not least) ample free parking, then look no further. Excuse the exclamation points, but long may Wahoo! Grill continue!
