“Everything was excellent. The tteokbokki was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet or spicy—and the portions were generous. All the dishes came out hot and fresh, and you can tell quality ingredients are used.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable, making it a great spot to enjoy Korean comfort food. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend to others.“

“Wife and family enjoy both locations, we prefer Suwanee location more
Good authentic Korean flavors
The bbq can be hit or miss depending if you get someone who knows how to cook
Kimchi 찌개 is always family favorite but Suwanee location has better kimchi overall“

“The tofu in the soft tofu stew here is different from other places – it’s incredibly fresh and delicious. They offer many kinds of soondubu jjigae, and the nutritious stone pot rice dishes are amazing as well. Everything is clean, well prepared, and full of flavor. Even the crispy pancakes were fantastic. This is actually my parents’ favorite restaurant, and it’s easy to see why!“

“We were looking for an easy dinner spot and, based on Google results, decided to give this place a try with little expectation. We’re glad we did. It’s a small restaurant with dark decor and simple tables, but the service was friendly and attentive. We ordered wings, skewers, a seafood pancake, and a seafood clear broth stew, and really enjoyed the meal. The seafood pancake was the best, crispy without being hard and full of flavor.“

“They have little alcoves so sitting with your family feels very private. Went with my family of 5 and it was perfect. Highly recommend the hot stone bibimbap and tofu soup with kimchi. My 10 month old, 4 yr old, and 10 yr old all enjoyed. Definitely will be back if we are in the area again.“

“The chicken was absolutely delicious and I'd wager that they butcher the chicken on site before frying it. Took a bit for the chicken to come out, but it was absolutely worth it. I wish there was an option been 8 and 16 pieces of chicken.“

“This Korean restaurant was an all around great place to eat. The free appetizers were all delicious and vegetarian, the soup and dumplings we ordered were good, and the people were very sweet. Ben, our server, made the dinner and even greater experience with his infectious personality!“

“Dinners with dad, episode 874, later edition…from dinner the other night while visiting my parents…had already had an amazing breakfast…then an equally amazing lunch…but this pork belly and trotters weren’t going to eat themselves! This place gets more and more crowded each time we come…dad loves to talk about how much his youngest granddaughter loves this place…then says, ‘She might be the most Korean of the 3 grandkids…’ The pic of him laughing is after the server asked what type of soju he wanted…he said none but he could use one! I told him to order a bottle but he said no 🤪 If you like pork and spicy acorn noodles, this is your go to in Atlanta!“

“Some of the best tteokbokki in town! The food is amazing and reasonably priced, especially considering the generous portions.
I highly recommend the bulgogi omurice, bulgogi kimbap, and the Toowoomba tteokbokki. Easily a 10/10, I would recommend this place to anyone. The service is excellent as well; the staff are always patient and accommodating whenever I ask for modifications.“

“Hands down the best pork stone bowl bibimbap I’ve had in the U.S. So flavorful and perfectly seasoned.👏👏
They offer a great variety of side dishes like kimchi, fish cake, pickled cucumbers, and bean sprouts, and the fried fish was an awesome surprise.
The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Super recommend👍👍👍👍👍“

“This is first time at Dan Moo Ji. My first impression is that it seems like a fast food place. But I was mistaken. You place your order at the counter, but they deliver the hot plate order. In our case, there were about 15 of us. The gentleman, came around and took our order. He brought pitcher of waters and glasses as well as soup brought. Our orders arrived fairly fast and still hot. My chicken omelette over rice is awesome, well prepared taste fantastic! My order came with mash potatoes, kimchi and salad. Others in my party also ordered Udon soup and such.
The place is clean, well organized with plenty of tables. The bathrooms are cleaned which gave me the impression that it is still a new place. Again I misjudged this place.
If you haven't tried Dan Moo Ji, I highly recommend this place. Specifically since the price is fairly comparable with other restaurants in the area“

“The ahjumma Becky is awesome and friendly! The Korean Steak pizza is DELICIOUS! All I'll say is to season & cook the original chicken a little bit better. The batter was really light and lacking crunch. But other than that, I'd definitely come back. 👍🏾“

“K-Mom’s Kitchen feels less like eating out and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. The flavors instantly reminded me of my mom’s cooking and even more so, my grandmother’s. The main dishes are comforting and well done, but what truly makes this place special are the side dishes. That generous spread of banchan, paired with a small bowl of warm seaweed soup, is what gives the meal its soul.
It’s a true hole-in-the-wall spot, cozy, humble, and full of heart with limited seating inside, but that just adds to the authenticity. This is the kind of food that carries history and care in every bite. If you’re looking for Korean food that tastes like it was made for family, this is the place. Highly recommend.“

“Food is alright. Service was pretty horrible. I’ve asked couple of bowls, and most of them were not clean. I wish they could’ve double checked before they handed to customers. Server didn’t even apologize, and I personally felt they weren’t rly doing their jobs well. Honestly, it just felt like they didn’t really care about their service since they automatically get an 18% tip anyway. I did feel like even that 18% wasn’t really worth it, but since I know how hard it is for small businesses these days, I still left it.
I think my previous comment might have caused some confusion, so I’d like to clarify.
When I said the 18% tip was automatically added, I meant that these days many customers usually give around 18% by default, so some servers may feel there’s no real need to try harder or pay much attention. Since you personally took the time to read my review and genuinely care about your customers, I wanted to adjust my rating to reflect that. I understand how tough it is to run a business, but I hope you could pay a bit more attention to training your staff. Thank you“

“This is one of the best Korean catering companies that we have used at the office! We've had a lot of hit or misses catering companies in the past. The Korean Thanksgiving food was delicious! We have a multicultural office environment and some of the employees are picky. The picky employees hands down loved it! The owner spoke both Korean and English so it made my order so easy. Mrs. Kim was very sweet and threw in some extra goodies in the order. We will definitely order from The Banchan again for future catered orders. Everyone was hungry so we didn't take any pictures of the bulgogi, jjun, songpyeon rice cakes, chicken ggan jeon (these went fast and there were no leftovers of this chicken), japchae, odeng noodle salad, young radish kimchi, and melons. You can taste the TLC in each dish! Thank you!!!!“

“We really enjoyed our lunch here. This 분식집-inspired restaurant captures the essence of casual Korean street food while elevating it with upscale presentation and thoughtful design on the walls. Every dish we ordered was flavorful and satisfying. The restaurant operates in a self-service style, so tipping isn’t expected, a trend that seems to be growing in today’s competitive restaurant scene, especially in Korea Town. Overall, it’s a delightful spot, and I highly recommend visiting.“

“Amazing Korean Food in a simple location but packs a huge punch. I came here solely based on the recommendation of this soup I have been craving. Gamjatang is a spicy pork bone soup. This item at Daebal House was a massive tower of amazing flavor! The menu has a fairly small but simple listing of typical Korean dishes from soup to meats ——while I was there 99% of the patrons are eating this dish. This place is open after 5pm and is similar to a late night bar with fine dining food… Highly recommend if you are in the area and want authentic quality tasting korean food and experience with friends. Oh and the kimchi is the BoMB!!!!!!! So yummmmmmmmmmy! First pic is when it came out!! Second pic is after we all ate to our hearts desire and there were still leftovers!!!!!“

“What a fantastic find!
On the surface, this place looks like a casual Korean pub, but it's a hidden gem serving up some seriously authentic and high-quality dishes.
My friend and I came for a casual dinner and were blown away by the food. We started with the assorted jeon (모둠전), and it was phenomenal. You get a variety of savory, pan-fried pancakes, each with a beautifully crispy texture and packed with fresh ingredients. It's a must-order.
The main event was the Bossam with oysters (굴보쌈). The pork belly was cooked to perfection and served with incredibly fresh, plump oysters. The combination of the melt-in-your-mouth pork, the briny oyster, and the crisp kimchi was just great.
If you're looking for a low-key spot with genuinely delicious Korean food that tastes like a great Korean meal, you have to check this place out. I'm already planning my next visit!“

“Food was great! Love that you can get free barley tea up front. The portions were generous, I ended up taking some home. It made GREAT leftovers. We also ordered tteokbokki, but they seem to have forgotten it. To be honest, we didn’t notice that we didn’t receive it until the next day lol.“

“Prompted to write a review immediately when I noticed the negative reviews people left regarding service, which should be considered outdated.
Friends and I came here on a Saturday while driving around John's Creek, craving authentic Korean food. We were surprised that it was almost empty at almost 6PM but were glad there'd be no wait. The menu wasn't very expansive, which is actually a good thing, imo, as it indicates they focus solely on dishes they know they are good at. I would have loved to try the jokbal, but my friends weren't feeling very adventurous, so we settled on the garlic bossam to share. We added on the rice balls (which is a mix of rice, seaweed, sesame oil and chopped radish) and ordered the donkatsu for my picky toddler niece.
The donkatsu was very crunchy and satisfied the toddler, to our surprise. The portion was enough for 2 adults to share, as it came with 2 pieces of pork (which we had to lie and say they were chicken). We did wish there was more sauce on the side, to balance out the dish. As for the bossam, flavor was great on the pork. We loved the banchan, which helped cut down on the fat from the pork. I'm not sure if the server forgot our lettuce leaves or if they don't automatically give them to you, but definitely ask for lettuce leaves! Definitely gotta wrap your meat! 😉
Also found it surprising that rice does not come with bossam and you have to order it as an add-on. That's pretty much the star deduction here. We spent under $80 (before tip) and it was enough food for 3 adults, 1 picky toddler and still took some tonkatsu home. As much as we love our garlic, it must be noted that 5 hours later, we were still breathing garlic, if that's something that matters to you.“

“My friend and I visited HanBat recently on a busy Sunday afternoon yet we still were able to be seated right away. The building used to be Sam's Sushi, tucked neatly away in a forgotten corner outside Gwinnett Place Mall and has retained its cozy interior after all these years. The servers were warm and welcoming, almost enthusiastic to serve us our food.
Immediately, my friend ordered the seafood pancake and I agreed with the decision bc HanBat's seafood pancake consists of squid and shrimp, both of which I can eat. The $20 pancake is definitely meant to be shared, as it is stuffed with green onions, peppers, shrimp and squid in every bite. I personally would have preferred a thinner pancake that is crispier on the outside, but I understand the stuffing would have suffered with a longer cooking time. Don't get me wrong; I still would order this every visit and could potentially eat the entire pancake as a meal alone, but it is an appetizer best shared with friends.
Next came our main dishes and we made the classic rookie mistake of ordering the same menu item instead of 2 different ones to share. We opted for the seolleontang, which, on this chilly afternoon, seemed perfectly fitting, as we also did not want any stews or hearty soups at the time. The seolleontang was beefy in flavor but could use a little bit of salt. I didn't mind so much as my friend did bc I usually eat low-sodium meals. I liked that the soup had plenty of thinly-sliced beef which was cooked to tender perfection. The soup came with noodles and rice was on the side for your preference. Overall, not my favorite seolleontang, but I do like it enough to come back and try other dishes.
Now, the kimchi... What can I say that other reviewers have not? Probably nothing much bc as many have mentioned, the kimchi is made in-house. What a difference that makes! We kept asking for refills of the kimchi (thank goodness at no charge) bc it is that good. I think I liked the radish kimchi just a little bit more than the cabbage kimchi bc of the crunch and how the radish absorbed all the flavors so well. There was no weird after-taste and the spice was just enough to keep us wanting more; 10/10 kimchi.
I'd love to come back and try the galbitang and galbijjim as I venture on my quest to find the perfect galbijjim.“

“We just visited this restaurant again after a while and the food is really good and fresh—one of my favorite Korean traditional restaurants with decent price and portions.
The last couple of times I've come here, the soup has been really good. However, this time, the beef hangover soup had overcooked or overly ripe cabbage, which I didn’t like. In my opinion, they have the best seafood hot stone rice compared to anywhere else; the aroma is a perfect balance of meat, rice, and vegetables. They also serve really tender, flavorful, and juicy neckbone soup. It feels like homemade food—comforting and balanced with deep flavors.“

“If you want to eat healthy, this is the place to go. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle, come here too.
It’s a self-service restaurant, and everything is conveniently located at the checkout counter. There’s always hot soup and cold water available. The free soup here is even tastier than the soup you can order.
Their cold noodles are second best—there’s no place that does them better. The grilled ribs are absolutely delicious.
The atmosphere is quiet and makes conversation easy. They are super spacy here as well.
The food is cheaper than a cup of bubble tea.
They don’t ask for tips, and you place your own orders.“

“I'm aware there are some negative reviews regarding service and tipping, but I personally found the atmosphere more comfortable than the cramped main location. “Yall don't be sleeping on this place. They make some good good food. They catered for my wedding in June and I am very happy with this decision. The quality of the food was excellent, flavors were on point, and there was an abundant amount of food. Evenmy mom was happy with the food. If you have a Korean mother, you know this is speaking volumes about the place. The owner is a woman of very few words, but listens your requests, and makes sure you are satisfied. Not only do they cater big parties, but they also sell everyday korean side dishes, rice cakes, and soups. I would recommend hands down. Stop by and give them a try, won't regret.“

“I’ve been wanting to try Korean corn dogs for the longest. It took me a lot of circling around the area to realize it was in the super market. Anyways even though I couldn’t really understand what the lady said she was very helpful. I got my order in under 5 minutes and it’s really cheap. When I bit into the corn dog the cheese pull was outstanding, and also no matter what corn dog you get say YES to sugar coating because the sugar just made it 10x better it tasted like a fried donut coated in sugar and when you bite into it you get a cheese pull plus some crunch. Definitely recommend!!“
