“Everything was excellent. The tteokbokki was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet or spicy—and the portions were generous. All the dishes came out hot and fresh, and you can tell quality ingredients are used.
Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable, making it a great spot to enjoy Korean comfort food. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend to others.“

“Wife and family enjoy both locations, we prefer Suwanee location more
Good authentic Korean flavors
The bbq can be hit or miss depending if you get someone who knows how to cook
Kimchi 찌개 is always family favorite but Suwanee location has better kimchi overall“

“Have you walked into the wrong restaurant but stayed anyways because of the ambiance of the place? That's what I did. I was supposed to meet my nephew at the Chili Spot but accidentally walked in through the wrong door. I rarely walk into the wrong restaurant but glad I did because this place is so hip and modern.
Speaking of atmosphere, the spacious ness of the place, the modern decor and vibe makes dining in a relaxing experience.
The food was delicious. Here's what we had:
SOON DUBU + PORK BBQ 순두부 + 목살구이
Choice of your soft tofu stew with stir-fry pork in soy-based sauce
SOON DUBU + LA KALBI 순두부 + LA갈비
Choice of your soft tofu stew with marinated short ribs.
We loved the combo along with the banchan (반찬).
The service was stellar. Our waitress, Jane was attentive, professional and patient. She answered all of our questions and made great suggestions.
Go check them out if you are looking for delicious food and excellent service.“

“We were looking for an easy dinner spot and, based on Google results, decided to give this place a try with little expectation. We’re glad we did. It’s a small restaurant with dark decor and simple tables, but the service was friendly and attentive. We ordered wings, skewers, a seafood pancake, and a seafood clear broth stew, and really enjoyed the meal. The seafood pancake was the best, crispy without being hard and full of flavor.“

“Every time I am anywhere near bb.q I make the time to go there, it is one of my favorite indulgences. Everything is so good, just amazing really and the staff is always so kind. Some of the little things about the experience make it even better too, like the handwashing station as you come in and leave and the little garbage can on the table to dispose of bones and napkins. One of my favorite places ever for sure.“

“Dinners with dad, episode 874, later edition…from dinner the other night while visiting my parents…had already had an amazing breakfast…then an equally amazing lunch…but this pork belly and trotters weren’t going to eat themselves! This place gets more and more crowded each time we come…dad loves to talk about how much his youngest granddaughter loves this place…then says, ‘She might be the most Korean of the 3 grandkids…’ The pic of him laughing is after the server asked what type of soju he wanted…he said none but he could use one! I told him to order a bottle but he said no 🤪 If you like pork and spicy acorn noodles, this is your go to in Atlanta!“

“We visit this restaurant roughly once a month. That’s how much we enjoy this place. Food is always excellent and service is good. They rotate through different side dishes (banchan), so it’s nice to see and try something different each visit. I would recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for Korean food in the Duluth area!“

“This was my very first Korean meal, and it could not have been a better experience! I had the spicy seafood kalguksu, and it was absolutely 😋 The seafood was fresh, the broth had just the right type of spicy kick, and the portion was huge. The restaurant itself has such a warm and welcoming ambiance, and everything was spotless. The owner was incredibly sweet and giving, which made me feel right at home. I also loved the thoughtful touch of having blankets available in case you get cold.....such a kind detail. A truly memorable meal, and I can’t wait to come back!“

“If you want to learn/try Pusan people's genuine soul food, this is it. This place may not be the best ever 돼지국밥 place in my life, but this place absolutely gives me the same happiness that I had in the restaurants in Pusan S. Korea, my home town.“

“I saw this place on instagram and I saved it to my list of restaurants to eat while in Duluth. I came here before the Ateez concert and was not disappointed!! Everything was so good! I got the pepperoni pizza, chicken and some beer. It was definitely 10/10. Chicken was crispy and the pizza tasted like it came out of a brick over with a great cheese pull! I’m definitely pulling back up again. Staff was also nice and helpful!!“

“The Tofu House in Duluth, Georgia was an awesome place for an out-of-towner such as me and the wife. We got the dumpling tofu soup special which came with kimchi, soybean sprouts, fish cakes radish kimchi with two eggs. “We used to come here many times when our kids were younger, and we recently stopped by again while our daughter was home from college. The place still has that classic Korean snack-bar vibe, we remembered. Since it was November, it felt a bit warm inside at first, but the friendly staff quickly turned on the AC for us, and we enjoyed a meal with the good temperature. The food tastes just as good as it always has, and honestly, it holds up really well compared to other franchise-style Korean snack spots. The prices looked a little high at first, but the portions are big, so it feels worth it. If you’re ever craving Korean street food, this is definitely a place worth visiting. Two thumbs up. 🙂“

“Food is alright. Service was pretty horrible. I’ve asked couple of bowls, and most of them were not clean. I wish they could’ve double checked before they handed to customers. Server didn’t even apologize, and I personally felt they weren’t rly doing their jobs well. Honestly, it just felt like they didn’t really care about their service since they automatically get an 18% tip anyway. I did feel like even that 18% wasn’t really worth it, but since I know how hard it is for small businesses these days, I still left it.
I think my previous comment might have caused some confusion, so I’d like to clarify.
When I said the 18% tip was automatically added, I meant that these days many customers usually give around 18% by default, so some servers may feel there’s no real need to try harder or pay much attention. Since you personally took the time to read my review and genuinely care about your customers, I wanted to adjust my rating to reflect that. I understand how tough it is to run a business, but I hope you could pay a bit more attention to training your staff. Thank you“

“This is one of the best Korean catering companies that we have used at the office! We've had a lot of hit or misses catering companies in the past. The Korean Thanksgiving food was delicious! We have a multicultural office environment and some of the employees are picky. The picky employees hands down loved it! The owner spoke both Korean and English so it made my order so easy. Mrs. Kim was very sweet and threw in some extra goodies in the order. We will definitely order from The Banchan again for future catered orders. Everyone was hungry so we didn't take any pictures of the bulgogi, jjun, songpyeon rice cakes, chicken ggan jeon (these went fast and there were no leftovers of this chicken), japchae, odeng noodle salad, young radish kimchi, and melons. You can taste the TLC in each dish! Thank you!!!!“

“We ordered so much food and surprisingly finished almost all of it. It was so hard to stop eating because the food was so delicious. The Tteok-bokki was one of the best I have ever had. Their wings are so juicy and the perfect outer crisp. I love their waffle fries. My husband had the bulgolgi rice and also the fried chicken and rice. He loved it. Will be coming back more often!“

“We really enjoyed our lunch here. This 분식집-inspired restaurant captures the essence of casual Korean street food while elevating it with upscale presentation and thoughtful design on the walls. Every dish we ordered was flavorful and satisfying. The restaurant operates in a self-service style, so tipping isn’t expected, a trend that seems to be growing in today’s competitive restaurant scene, especially in Korea Town. Overall, it’s a delightful spot, and I highly recommend visiting.“

“Amazing Korean Food in a simple location but packs a huge punch. I came here solely based on the recommendation of this soup I have been craving. Gamjatang is a spicy pork bone soup. This item at Daebal House was a massive tower of amazing flavor! The menu has a fairly small but simple listing of typical Korean dishes from soup to meats ——while I was there 99% of the patrons are eating this dish. This place is open after 5pm and is similar to a late night bar with fine dining food… Highly recommend if you are in the area and want authentic quality tasting korean food and experience with friends. Oh and the kimchi is the BoMB!!!!!!! So yummmmmmmmmmy! First pic is when it came out!! Second pic is after we all ate to our hearts desire and there were still leftovers!!!!!“

“As someone who’s been to Malaysia many times, I’d say this is pretty legit, compare to some other so called Malaysia cuisine places around here. And the owner is Malaysian, she knows her stuff. Highly recommend this place in Jusgo supermarket!“

“Excellent restaurant! If you are interested in experience a meal that truly mimics healthy home-cooked Korean cuisine, this is the place!
This is not one of those places with huge fanfare and exorbitant overwhelming decorations, often with asymmetric balance of tasted. Rather, this is a modest place but with dedication and thoughts for the fundamentals of Korean home cuisine that you can feel from the manner of the owner and certainly taste it in the dishes she serves (mains and the sides) - no sugar (unlike many restaurants all around), no MSG, or any other artificial favorings - relying on natural flavors of quality ingredients. Even then, the subtle balance of complex tastes of various ingredients and of Korean cuisine is achieved, reminding of the comfort and care we felt from our own mom's cooking long ago.
This place is not one of those that has shallow business/value ethics, again unlike other places, where she seems very generous with amount of quality ingredients in the dishes! My dish was the black cod soup. It had about the same amount of fish as the black cod casserole (at 2x the price) we had at another local restaurant!
Really, the owner has a clear set of principles for cooking and life in general, truly reflected in every facet of her restaurant! Truly commendable person and place!
I/we will certainly return to try other dishes!“

“My friend and I visited HanBat recently on a busy Sunday afternoon yet we still were able to be seated right away. The building used to be Sam's Sushi, tucked neatly away in a forgotten corner outside Gwinnett Place Mall and has retained its cozy interior after all these years. The servers were warm and welcoming, almost enthusiastic to serve us our food.
Immediately, my friend ordered the seafood pancake and I agreed with the decision bc HanBat's seafood pancake consists of squid and shrimp, both of which I can eat. The $20 pancake is definitely meant to be shared, as it is stuffed with green onions, peppers, shrimp and squid in every bite. I personally would have preferred a thinner pancake that is crispier on the outside, but I understand the stuffing would have suffered with a longer cooking time. Don't get me wrong; I still would order this every visit and could potentially eat the entire pancake as a meal alone, but it is an appetizer best shared with friends.
Next came our main dishes and we made the classic rookie mistake of ordering the same menu item instead of 2 different ones to share. We opted for the seolleontang, which, on this chilly afternoon, seemed perfectly fitting, as we also did not want any stews or hearty soups at the time. The seolleontang was beefy in flavor but could use a little bit of salt. I didn't mind so much as my friend did bc I usually eat low-sodium meals. I liked that the soup had plenty of thinly-sliced beef which was cooked to tender perfection. The soup came with noodles and rice was on the side for your preference. Overall, not my favorite seolleontang, but I do like it enough to come back and try other dishes.
Now, the kimchi... What can I say that other reviewers have not? Probably nothing much bc as many have mentioned, the kimchi is made in-house. What a difference that makes! We kept asking for refills of the kimchi (thank goodness at no charge) bc it is that good. I think I liked the radish kimchi just a little bit more than the cabbage kimchi bc of the crunch and how the radish absorbed all the flavors so well. There was no weird after-taste and the spice was just enough to keep us wanting more; 10/10 kimchi.
I'd love to come back and try the galbitang and galbijjim as I venture on my quest to find the perfect galbijjim.“

“Prompted to write a review immediately when I noticed the negative reviews people left regarding service, which should be considered outdated.
Friends and I came here on a Saturday while driving around John's Creek, craving authentic Korean food. We were surprised that it was almost empty at almost 6PM but were glad there'd be no wait. The menu wasn't very expansive, which is actually a good thing, imo, as it indicates they focus solely on dishes they know they are good at. I would have loved to try the jokbal, but my friends weren't feeling very adventurous, so we settled on the garlic bossam to share. We added on the rice balls (which is a mix of rice, seaweed, sesame oil and chopped radish) and ordered the donkatsu for my picky toddler niece.
The donkatsu was very crunchy and satisfied the toddler, to our surprise. The portion was enough for 2 adults to share, as it came with 2 pieces of pork (which we had to lie and say they were chicken). We did wish there was more sauce on the side, to balance out the dish. As for the bossam, flavor was great on the pork. We loved the banchan, which helped cut down on the fat from the pork. I'm not sure if the server forgot our lettuce leaves or if they don't automatically give them to you, but definitely ask for lettuce leaves! Definitely gotta wrap your meat! 😉
Also found it surprising that rice does not come with bossam and you have to order it as an add-on. That's pretty much the star deduction here. We spent under $80 (before tip) and it was enough food for 3 adults, 1 picky toddler and still took some tonkatsu home. As much as we love our garlic, it must be noted that 5 hours later, we were still breathing garlic, if that's something that matters to you.“

“I had a great meal here! We ordered the Dumpling Ox Bone Soup (만두 설렁탕), the Mixed Ox Bone Soup (섞어 설렁탕), the Mung Bean Pancake (녹두전), and the Spicy Cold Noodles with Grilled Pork Neck (비빔냉면 + 돼지양념구이). Everything was delicious and came out surprisingly fast🤩 The broth was rich without being greasy, the dumplings were stuffed and tender, and the mung bean pancake was crisp on the outside and soft inside. The pork neck with the bibim naengmyeon was a perfect combo!! savory, slightly sweet, and great with the spicy noodles😋
I also liked the space: clean interior, comfortable seating, and good music at a reasonable volume. You order at the kiosk right when you walk in, then pick up your food when your number is called, which keeps things quick and easy👍 There’s a self-serve station for extra condiments and sauces, which I appreciated. Overall, tasty food, efficient service, and a pleasant vibe, would definitely come back :)“

“I liked the atmosphere of the place. Every table has a place to have bbq if you want. We ordered from the lunch menu. I had the sirloin and tonkasu. It was awesome. “I'm aware there are some negative reviews regarding service and tipping, but I personally found the atmosphere more comfortable than the cramped main location. The service was quite satisfactory for a Korean-American restaurant, and the food quality was comparable to the main location. I'll likely return to this location next time.“
“Yall don't be sleeping on this place. They make some good good food. They catered for my wedding in June and I am very happy with this decision. The quality of the food was excellent, flavors were on point, and there was an abundant amount of food. Evenmy mom was happy with the food. If you have a Korean mother, you know this is speaking volumes about the place. The owner is a woman of very few words, but listens your requests, and makes sure you are satisfied. Not only do they cater big parties, but they also sell everyday korean side dishes, rice cakes, and soups. I would recommend hands down. Stop by and give them a try, won't regret.“

“First, let me say that this restaurant was a little bit hard to find for non Korean speaking folks (probably because we don't read Korean😂), so we ended up driving past it at first. However, I promise that the search is worth it.
Through wooden doors, you are immediately greeted by some lovely folks who will guide you to a seat; either in an enclosed booth or out in the open.
Greeted and sat, you will be introduced to their huge menu, packed with a variety of authentic Korean dishes. We chose the kimchi stew, salad with chives and boiled pork slices, and stir fried pork in spicy sauce. We also got sides of rice, and pickled vegetables.
If you are in the mood for a place to decompress from the noise outside and recharge, come to Jang Dok Dae to get some great food. And tip well, the folks here deserve it.“
