“We ate at Cartecay River Brewing today for lunch and the food was excellent and we enjoyed a few cocktails as well. Kids played shuffleboard and had a great time. We will be back for sure!”

“The restaurant was spotless, including entrance doors and restrooms. . Service was great. My wife had a taco salad and I had New Mexico shrimp quesadillas. They were both excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. They won’t disappoint you.!”

“Just went out to dinner last night for a quick wedding anniversary date. Had the Wild West shrimp appetizer (always a favorite), and we both ordered ribeyes and baked potatoes. The 1st steak my husband got was very fatty and full of gristle. Both of them were slightly undercooked but that was fine, really. They took one look at Brian's hald cut through steak and immediately apologized. He barely had to mention it after he was asked about it. The manager had the kitchen make him a whole new plate up to take home. We ordered my brother in law a steak and sides to go, since he was babysitting for us. Service was great. We got a table as soon as we entered. It was clean. The staff were on the ball. Our waiter, Greg, had his hands full but he still made sure we had all that we wanted.

“Delicious. Attitude of the staff was beyond pleasant. The A/C was not working at its prime. Notices were posted so no one was unaware. However, we found it totally comfortable. Food was great. We came for one member of our party to have coconut shrimp, which they shared was excellent. The other two had one of the new item menus and were favorably impressed. (We ate before we remembered to take pictures!)”

“We were visiting Ellijay and called in to ask if we needed to make reservations. It was a Saturday night, so I wanted to be sure. She told me she would put our name down, but we wouldn't need reservations. When we arrived, I gave my name and he confirmed reservations but said it'd be 30 or more minutes. I looked around and found the place almost empty. I asked why places had not been saved when we called in advance for reservations. He wasn't sure. While waiting, we noticed the health dept score of 81. I should have left at that point. We were seated after 20 minutes and then the craziness began. Our party of 4 agreed that we "ate in reverse." The scallops and shrimp were put on FIRST and completely tough by the time we got them. Steaks were cooked almost last. Mushrooms, that should have been with the steaks, were served when we were all finishing up. We spent the night waving down our waitress for refills or more drinks. We all left shaking our heads.”

“I typically have wonderful experiences when I go to the store. The food is usually great. And today was no different. The only issue I really had was I had a server. I wasn't familiar with her but her name Tag said jess and she had blue hair. I'm all about some cool looking hair. But her hair was down all over the place, and I even found it in my food, I was kind of disappointed. She never returned to ask for a refill and was constantly on her phone sitting down.
I have my favorites at this location.And she's definitely not one of them”

“Everything I’ve tried there is delicious bagels.cookies,freshly made bread, carrot cake , brownies, sandwiches, soups. Come out and see what you think they are located in the shopping center right beside Clock tower car wash in Ellijay,Ga .”

“I had an employee, out of the blue, notice that I'm having some health issues. He brought the food to my car without asking and asked if I was okay. First person to do that in months. Put a smile on my face. Thank you so much!”

“Order was not correct. The order was delayed to the sandwich maker numerous times and the sandwiches still came out incorrect. The single whopper with cheese was ketchup and onion only. It eneded up a double which was supposed to be the other sandwich. Easy fix. I had to end up asking for a slice of cheese since it was left off. Also an easy fix. It got busy and staff did try their best to keep orders moving.”

“I always recommend Pooles Bar B Que, for the food and service. My guests enjoy as well. You cannot find better brisket especially. If you dine in, most likely have to get to go boxes, because portion’s are generous. Last month I came as they closing and the employees let me order to go. Well I left my debit card in the card reader but did not know until my next stop. I was upset because I wasn’t 💯 percent sure where my card was. I called and left a message and the next morning decided to go by because I was on my way out of town. I didn’t receive a call back and no one was coming to the door because they had not opened yet. So after waiting decided to go around the back to see if anyone might be there, and they were just loading or unloading and didn’t hear me knocking. Anyway they had my card and told me I didn’t have any worries because all the staff were honest and glad they could help me, I was embarrassed about being so careless. So there are so many reasons this special restaurant in Ellijay is one of my favorite places to get a really great meal. I’ve feel like if you weren’t happy with something you ordered they will accommodate you. Try it for yourself, take someone with you!! 🤩😋”

“Honestly not bad. It wasn't the best Italian I've ever had, but it certainly wasn't the worst. I think the green tomatoes could have used salt, but I enjoyed my pasta. A little bit expensive, but there are much more expensive places in town serving much simpler dishes. I do think you guys could benefit from getting one of those cheese graters with a crank for fresh grated parmesan. I've got one and not only is it awesome, but it makes Alfredo a breeze. I'll probably be back, from time to time. Looking forward to seeing what other delicious offerings are on the menu.”
