“Best Chinese Restaurant on entire Big Island! And I'm Chinese American from NYC! I don't do Buffet because it's not fresh, might cost less but full of MSG. I recommend ordering fresh cooked, directly from Kitchen. Specify your dietary peculiarities. For ex. I have Diabeties Melitus 2 thus I ask for less sugar, and no Monosodium Glutomate which causes me to feel ill. When you specify, and dining there, the staff and Proprietors appreciate generous amount of Tips! Thank you!“

“We were pleased to find this place - I had the mapo tofu (with pork, medium spicy) which was VERY good and could feed two with the suggested - and essential - side order of rice for the tasty sauce. Some places in Hawaii have bland food for too much money - this is not like that, which is fabulous. Very tasty, well seasoned, I would totally order this again and look forward to it. She got the seaweed salad and a specialty sushi roll, which were good too.
Fast, friendly service rounds it out.

Parking: There’s a good sized free lot on the next street up away from the waterfront and a block or so away, but it was pretty packed. We got lucky and found a spot. They do validate parking at another parking lot, it’s worth calling and asking where *before* parking your car if you can’t get a spot in the free municipal lot.“

“Great sushi rolls. Had the “train wreck” 3 times. On there specialty rolls they ask you to try them first without using soy sauce and they are right. You don’t need it. So good and the employees are super friendly.“

“My husband got a ninja star roll and said this was some of the best sushi he’s ever had. The wait time said 2 hours when we first walked up, but we only got the 1 roll and only waited maybe 10 minutes, so we were really happy about that.

My son isn’t always the most adventurous eater but he asked to try the clams from my seafood stew and pronounced that he “loves clams more than pizza”. It was his first time trying it. He had the kid’s grilled cheese with fries, and myself and my friend had the Crabby Patties crab cakes, cocktails, fish n chips and seafood stew. Everuthing came out quickly, hot and fresh. “Not fair Google. Both dine in and takeout, also lunch and dinner. One of my favorite restaurants for many years. Auntie and Grandmama are still front and center and in the kitchen. Their food is fresh and Delicious, with generous portions. If you dine in, The view is above Ali’i Drive and a great place to watch. If you order to go, DO NOT let them refuse tip. A few favorites are the curry stew, either fish or chicken, and their Pad Thai is absolutely the best ever. If I remember correctly, they get their vegetables at the market down the street. Absolutely five stars

“We just love L&L. It’s just a no frills grab a plate and go kind of place. Sometimes that’s perfect. A lot of times that’s perfect. The food is always quick, reliable, tasty, consistent, and priced to make it easy to return frequently when you don’t feel like cooking. The staff are always nice and welcoming to us.

Parking: Never had an issue parking in the huge lot.

“My wife and I started our stay on 7/16/24 and Nanea took such good care of us at the bar. She made sure whatever drinks we needed in the afternoon for us and our kids were taken care of. She asked that our food be run to us at the pool. The next day she remembered us and others at the bar and made everyone feel so welcome snd happy it was amazing. The entire staff and Nanea in particular made the entire experience at the resort exactly what I wanted and is the reason I will return in the future.“

We chose this restaurant as it was close to where we would be doing the Manta Ray Swim and where others that were golfing at Kona Country Club were close as well. The food was delicious. I think we had a little of everything at our table. Sweet chili wings, fries, Chicken Teriyaki, Seafood Pasta, Fish Tacos, are just a few of the items our crew enjoyed! Oh, and the Chocolate cake was amazing! Our sever, Cherlynn (I hoped I spelled it right) was absolutely outstanding! While we were at dinner our swim was canceled. “Great bar, very quiet when we visited but we were wanting something peaceful so it was nice. Free wifi was a bonus :-) Watched the sunset with a cocktail in hand and had great chats with our waiter Michael, a very pleasant guy who gave us lots of tips on what to see/do/try and told us about his life here on Kona. “Fours all across the board. Food was decent, could be better. I feel like they specialize in their pizza and dough offered products and that their pastas were just very mediocre. We weren't unhappy at all just an honest opinion. I would definitely go back, so nothing to complain about. Service was good. Atmosphere was a little bit loud and busy but I guess it is what is to be expected being as it is in the middle of a shopping center with other bars, restaurants and stores around. All and all it was good.

Dietary restrictions: Celiac friendly. Offer gluten free noodles, sauces, pizza dough. Decent couple options on the menu.“
