“Super solid lunch stop. Was on base w fellow contractors for a project and ended up eating here and sharing in good conversations. I was impressed by the politeness of other customers - two separate white men yielded to me and offered for me go ahead of them in the order line :o
I got the Italian chicken panini and it was just what I needed (filling and good source of protein).
Vegetarian options: There’s a veggie panini which I’m told is also good!!“

“Good tasting vegetarian food. Ordered mushroom linguine with an appetizer of sauteed spinach. Mixed it together to create an one good tasting vegetarian dish. Their matcha milk tea tastes good as well. Parked on the street. Street parking is free on Sunday. Additional parking behind their building.“

“A hole-in-the-wall place with a ~really~ good burger and fries. Probably the best on Waikiki, or at least the best I've found so far. Generous portion sizes, too. The only knock I can give is it's not "fast" food, like you might expect for a hole-in-the-wall place: Burger was (perfectly) made to order, so it took around the same amount of time to make as it would in a sit-down restaurant, but other than that, it was great. If you're looking for a burger you can grab and take to the beach, this is the place to get it.
Parking: Only parking is what you can find in the garages on Waikiki.“

“Don’t let the exterior fool you, this is no greasy spoon. We had a MARVELOUS breakfast here. All of the food was beyond compare, budget-friendly priced, and the staff is exceptional. Highly recommended. We will be back whenever we are in Honolulu.“

“Craving tempura, my husband found this highly rated restaurant, so we had to try it out. Located in Stix ASIA, one of several Asian restaurants in the basement of Waikiki Shopping Plaza.
Servers were attentive, yet not overbearing. We had fun teasing with our waiter, thankfully he was a good sport.
I ordered the Shrimp Tempura and the other two had the Kiki tempura bowls.
My husband thought his were greasy, but all were very good.“

“Beautiful and peaceful place surrounded by nature. The huge banyan tree is stunning and adds to the calm vibe. The vegetarian restaurant serves food buffet-style, and you pay by weight. Everything was fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. One of the best vegetarian spots in Honolulu. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area!“

“My favorite meal during my trip was at Southern Love, and I do not say that lightly. The food is clearly made with Love, as the title implies. It might seem off beat to get Southern food in Hawaii, but you would be remiss to not eat at least one meal at Southern Love. The authentic southern cooking (again, done with love) does take time, so prepare for a little (but not unreasonable) wait for your delicious meal! While you wait for the food (that will blow your socks off!) you can enjoy the ambiance of an at home experience that matches perfectly with the best local dining in the South.
We were lucky enough to have the special chicken sandwich, coated in fried honey crust with perfect tints of spice, with friggin' Mac 'N Cheese on top!! This sandwich slayed!! I saw it, thought no way I could finish it...and then couldn't stop myself from leaving the plate spotless!
In short, thank you Southern Love for an amazing meal and experience! All of the stars for the perfect Southern Love mix with lovin' Hawaiian feels!!“

“This is my go-to spot after I get my hair cut at nearby Major League barber shop. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch. I've had the pollo asada and the chorizo & egg tacos, both with rice and beans. 🤤 This is a Veteran/family owned business that takes their food creations and customer relations seriously. It is also SoCal Mex based flavor-wise and takes me back to the neighborhood taco shops in L.A. and San Diego. I look forward to eventually trying everything on the menu.“

“This was definitely a different Pizza experience... their story is intriguing and hopefully this brand and cuisine comes to the remainder of the states especially Florida... I had their lime drink and it was amazing and their Pizza was delightful. 43 inc highly recommended. In Tampa Florida we have a network called The HUB and it's a place we recommend phenomenal experiences. This would be one.“

“High quality sushi you can order by pieces, price point is on the higher end but food quality well justified it. All pieces we ordered didn’t have tendon parts you can’t chew, they were very fresh, decent sized. Their wasabi’s freshly grounded version. Would definitely come back again!
The decor looked a bit cheap tho and the lighting of the restaurant didn’t offer any ambiance, didn’t create a feeling that we’d like to stay for a long time and enjoy our food, but rather, let’s eat then leave. Efficiency seems to run in all aspects of the restaurant. You order food on a iPad and pieces delivered directly from kitchen via a conveyor belt.“

“From the warm greeting everyone receives when walking through the door to the attentive and super friendly service, this place is amazing! “My now husband and I had our wedding rehearsal lunch here on Sunday, September 8, 2024. Their restaurant was my first choice and they were so accommodating! We had a private indoor space with an oceanfront lanai to mingle on. Jenni, who is the manager, and her employees went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The plumeria buffet was delicious, the drinks and souvenir cups were amazing, and the restaurant had such a relaxed ambience with such a beautiful view for pictures on the patio! Jenni and her team were outstanding, and the venue is highly recommended!“

“Staff at Lulu’s couldn’t have been kinder or more helpful if they tried. We went last night as a large party and they were so wonderful! Accommodating all of our needs, including moving our table due to a sensory overload for one of my children. Our server was outstanding, from helping with a suggestion for parking to getting all of our meals and drinks perfectly. Thank you for a wonderful night“

“This is a literal hole in the wall, easy to miss in a covered parking lot near the McDonald’s. There’s outdoor seating, pretty much right in the parking lot.
Food quantity is high and the sushi rolls have some of the lowest ratios (in a good way) of rice to non-rice. The fried food was very good, not too greasy with a great crunch and the food tasted very fresh.
Service was exceptionally friendly. The nice man that took our order and served us even brought out some free bottles of water for us.
I love finding places like this that feel like it’s locals, for locals.“

“I ate like crazy!! So there are only two pictures...
There are about ten side dishes and they are all delicious. I ate it without taking a picture haha.
It tastes like a non-irritating side dish.
The soybean paste stew is salty and spicy, not the taste of a meat restaurant.
The simple taste of making it at home without adding ssamjang, my child really enjoyed it even though there was pepper in it.
The seasoned ribs are also delicious. Most of them are not tough and the seasoning is just right.
Please do not cook only on high heat. It was a shame because the delicious meat burned quickly haha.
Jjambbong contains a moderate amount of seafood and has a rich taste.
Jjajang tastes like old-fashioned jjajang, and it’s light and good.
I also added pot rice, which is black rice.
Overall, everything was delicious, and I was very satisfied, perhaps because I live in a neighborhood that doesn't have many Korean restaurants.
The service is also very friendly!!!
The parking lot is conveniently located in the building.“

“My husband was in search of some good fish in Waikiki. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. I’m not a seafood person so I got the chicken pasta and he tried snapper for the first time. Both of us were blown away by how tasty everything was. The portions were huge too! Out of all the places we had been to during our trip, this place is at the top. Even as a non fish eater, I loved it! There can be a wait, but it is well worth it. Try it, you’ll love it.“

“**Need base access to come here since its on Pearl Harbor**Took a late lunch due to work and Harbor Grill was crowded so decided to give Phillies a try. The signage by the exchange is misleading, its actually on the other side of the building. Parking is also tough but i waa parked on the other side so walked around to find the place.Like another person said, the prices are on the higher side, around $20 for a Cheesesteak sandwich, fries and a canned beverage. There is additional charge if you want bell peppers or mushrooms that i passed on. Service was quick and friendly, maybe because i was the only customer there.Food wasnt bad, though the sandwich wrapper and bottom bun was a bit greasy from the meat. Id give them another try with their other sandwiches since they were on par with Subway prices. Good to have found another option for food in the area?
Parking: Parking is tough due to the fitness center and barracks closeby.“
