“Best subway I've ever been in. Super clean, lots of sauce options, bread was fresh, staff was friendly and no wait! Be aware, my GPS didnt show me near the subway so u have to continue on down the road past the airport on your left and you will come to it.”

“We found JPs via google reviews and wow, the pizza was simply outstanding. We live in the Chicagoland area and we’ve had some great pizza. JP’s is some of the very best pizza we’ve ever had. Super fresh ingredients and outstanding flavors. We enjoyed it so much we went back a second time on the last day of our trip. JP’s Dad was working the counter and he was so nice to us and to every customer. JP knows pizza so don’t miss out on something amazing.”

“I was a little worried when I got there and they didn't have much left in their show case but it turns out there was a reason for that. This place is great. We tried a couple sandwiches and some donuts and every single thing was amazing. I was sad that we found it so for to the end of our trip. Will definitely be stopping there tomorrow before our flight leaves. They still limit it to four guests inside which I enjoyed with as many people that we saw on our trip that were sick.”

“Both times we had JoJo’s shaved ice while visiting Kauai the shaved ice was great! However I do have to say, the employees working the Kapa’a location was much more welcoming and friendlier than the Hanalei location.”

“Best smoothie bowl I had while in Kauai, but also in Hawaii overall. I got the Gandhi bowl, which was phenomenal. I appreciated that the smoothie is made with oatmilk because it was more creamy, as opposed to the watery smoothie bases I had elsewhere. The toppings were generous and very well curated. They do not skimp! I had macadamia nuts in every bite, along with goji berries, papaya, banana, and granola. This place is well worth a stop before or after the Waimea Canyon. I hope I get to visit again someday!”

“After a long morning at Waimea State Park, I picked Da Booze Shop because the name made me laugh. Well the jokes on me because the food, service, and atmosphere were stellar! I have always loved eating in Mom and Pop places because they always have the best food. I got the Mahi Katsu and had enough leftover for a snack. If you are traveling with kids this is a great place to eat. You can eat across the street at the park and let the kids play and expend some energy.”

“Good place for dinner after a day exploring Waimea Canyon. We ordered a veggie pizza for take out. The pizza was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed it.
However, we asked to 'substitute' a few toppings but were charged for 'substitutes' as 'extra toppings'. One pizza cost us $45+ tips. So, we paid for the toppings we never had on our pizza too. in this regard, make sure you check before paying.”

“Absolutely good food! We had the pulled pork sandwiches and tempura shrimp. Tender pork with the right amount of flavoring. The shrimp was flavorful, tender in a nice light tempura. Even though we arrived minutes before closing the waitress welcomed us in. Highly recommend eating here!”

“We walked around the corner, at the end of the street and found this gem. I LOVED hearing the kids, just being family. I was greeted kindly and got my order in a timely manner. The counter and side area where you can eat was clean. I can’t have dairy so I had just shave ice and it was so refreshing. The flavors blended well (I had coconut & lychee) and tasted yummy. My favorite part was the youngest daughter who definitely had the Aloha Spirit. She was practicing on her skates, helmeted of course, and talking to myself and another family. I asked about if she liked school and art (that’s what I teach), and her favorite flavor. It’s strawberry BTW I told my husband, she’s the original “Lilo”. I want to thank the family for making our day. Mahalo nui loa! ❤️”

“What a quaint and cute subway location! The staff were so kind and friendly; seemed to have fun together and enjoy working there. This place is very clean and everything was crispy fresh! Best subway sandwich I've had in a long time. Highly recommend this location!”

“I’m a big fan of taro chips and they pretty much make them fresh here. We ended up complimenting this with fresh poke we had made from a fishing charter trip with Go Fish Kauai. I got a few bags so plan on snacking on these at the beach. $7 a bag but worth it given the quality and freshness. Support local”

“If you're visiting Kauai and craving authentic Hispanic food, Pacho's Tacos is a must-stop. We found it randomly while exploring, and it ended up being one of the best meals we had on the island.

The fish plate was incredible -- perfectly cooked with a great blend of fresh, bold flavors that really stood out. The burrito was solid as well, packed generously and full of flavor. Honestly, it felt like I was back in San Diego with the quality and taste.

If you're visiting from outside the state and missing good Mexican food, you'll definitely appreciate this spot.”
