“Most excellent dining experience in Poipu!!! I almost don’t want to share this in fear that it will cause this place to become too busy. We ate here two night in a row while staying in Poipu. Amazing food (the Curry Ramen!) , drinks(happy hour old-fashioneds with Old Grand Dad 114!)and service. But that’s not even the best part. The ambiance is to die for… open air decadence. Very casual but gorgeous at the same time. Do not sleep on his place!“

“We dined at the “Tidepools” at the recommendation of 2 friends that had a wonderful experience, they also recommended that we request Juan as our server. We throughly enjoyed the beautiful ambiance, the food was delicious, but the best part of it all was the service. Juan greeted us with such kindness and warmth, as if we were regulars. He is definitely an asset to the Grand Hyatt Resort. Juan truly made our dinning experience a magnificent one. “We ate at La Spezia twice in September 2024 and absolutely loved it! A couple of us had the fettuccine calabrese, which was delicious and huge – enough for two meals. We also tried vongole e gamberetti, spaghetti arrabbiata, short rib ravioli, and veal scallopini. We also took desserts to go—tiramisu, cheesecake, and panna cotta. All were very good. Every dish gets a thumbs up! Probably the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. And the service was top-notch. Considering the quality, priced are reasonable. If I’m ever back in Kauai I’ll eat there again. Tip: Make a reservation if you want to get it. It’s not a large place.“

“This food truck is tucked into Old Town Koloa next to some other food trucks which is nice if you are with a group who want different things to eat. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and my dad ordered the teriyaki chicken. It took about 20 minutes as they make it fresh to order and man was it fresh and delicious! It tasted homemade for sure! The chicken was juicy and flavorful in both dishes and the servings were generous. We had loads of leftovers too. It all tasted just as good the next day!

I have eaten plenty of pad Thai in my life and this one tasted very much not like what I am used to and I enjoyed it immensely. The flavors were amazing, but not over the top where I’m grabbing for water every two seconds. And tons of peanuts which I love!

I gave 4 stars only because there is very little seating so it’s not really set up to eat there unless you are lucky enough to get a spot. We would have loved to order and eat fresh right there, but instead brought it back to our hotel. It was amazing though! I want to try the spring rolls next time! Highly recommend for some authentic Thai cuisine!“

“This place was highly recommended by my patient that was part of a Facebook Group that posted about this place a lot and they were featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It was good and the service was fantastic, but not so good that we made a second stop on our trip. Their service was quick too, so it's a good stop if you only have a short time to eat! Their menu includes: Truffle Burger, Veggie Burger, Chicken Katsu Sandwich, Kenji Burger (teriyaki, ponzu aioli, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, tomato & arugula), Misoyaki Fish Sandwich, Salads, Sushi Burritos & Bowls (loco moco, chicken katsu, misoyaki fish, and poke). “Wow!!!Admittedly, these are the first tacos I’ve had on Kauai but they are so so good. I ordered the grilled fish tacos and the blackened fish tacos. The fish is generously portioned and both were yummy. The blackened fish tacos were a flavor bomb and if I have time to go back, I will order all blackened fish. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Total for my four tacos was $29 which seems fair for two meals and cheaper than any other meal I’ve had here. 10/10“

“We went to the breakfast buffet with a group of friends. The food, service, and atmosphere were all exemplary. The view from the restaurant was also entertaining- the geese were feeding the koi in the fishpond outside by dropping some of their food in the water! All in all, an excellent morning.

“We visited the Hono Bar three times as we stayed in the area for 12 days. We did not stay at the Marriott, but we were welcomed there every night. We watched the sunsets there, had some drinks and dinner one of the nights. We sat at the bar and we're entertained by some friendly bartenders, and excellent drinks (Mai Tai was awesome). We got hit with a short rain shower and they just dropped a couple curtains to keep us dry. Great fun!“

“When you’re on Kauai and just need something simple and satisfying, Bubba’s Burgers hits the mark. I was in the mood for a no-fuss, classic American meal, and Bubba’s delivered. I went with a single patty burger and a corndog—nothing fancy, just exactly what I needed.

The vibe here is laid-back with a quirky charm that really adds to the experience. From the cool signage to the straightforward menu, it’s clear they focus on keeping it simple and doing it well. Sometimes that’s all you need. For a solid burger, great fries, and a fun atmosphere, Bubba’s Burgers definitely deserves four stars.“

“Food is still good however the service now sucks. if your eating and want something else or another drink. whoever is serving you will not get it you are told that you must go back up to the cashier and order it there. what kind of crap is that. when told that I replied that "Then no need to tip you right" ? got a dirty look for that one, I'm just saying what's the purpose of having a waiter/waitress that won't get anything may as well go to the Crack. glad the one in Kalaheo isn't like poipu !!“

“The Prime Rib was enjoyed by my son-in-law, and I LOVED the Stung Honey Fried Chicken. The coconut shrimp were the perfect accompianment to the King Tiki Mai Thai. My wife loved the Asian Salad, but my DIL thought the Macademia Crusted Mahi Mahi was a bit dry. Service was SPECTACULAR, and the kids menu was extensive - our 3.5 yo grandson loved the grilled cheese sandwich with waffle fries, our 19 month old grandaughter loved the pasta with marinara, and there was also pasta with butter sauce, cheese burger sliders with waffle fries, and chicken tenders with waffle fries. The view of the pool and ocean from under the lanai was also terrific!“
