“There is no seating. The options are incredibly limited. They didn’t have much stock when I showed up. Having said that, it‘s a great resource. A wrap in the fridge can come in handy if you can’t get to a restaurant before they close.”

“We are Marriott Owners and stayed on property to enjoy the Royal Sonesta amenities. Kukui's bar opened up after their beautiful remodel.while we were there. I shared my thoughts with Anthony, who was the manager on site. Christmas Day was crazy busy and the staff kicked butt and did a fantastic job. Boy, were they hustling and still kept their composure and professionalism! The menu has been refreshed and had many great healthy options. The prices are standard for this type of higher end property. The breakfast menu offered many options and all that we tasted were beautifully plated and very delicious! Yes, there were hiccups, which is expected, but the staff did the best they could. I'm not going to mention what needed to be improved on yet. “Not a WOW experience but acceptable. Reservations made with note that we were celebrating a birthday but manifested or uttered about the special occasion. Wish we were told about the Fish of the Day but I guess we could have asked. An Early Bird (5-6 PM) menu provides a short but nice list of food and drinks which I would take advantage of the next time around. Major renovation in progress and planned for different areas of the resort but it didn't affect our dining experience. The staff were presant.”

“Our bar tender was really friendly and personable. I saw him making conversation with everyone sitting at the bar including us. The drinks were delicious, we didn’t try the food unfortunately but the menu had some good options. Perfect place to hangout and wait for your flight, they have AC too which was a huge plus for us.”

“Our family very recently vacationed in Kauai to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary. I had reached out to Ko Bakery several weeks before our trip to have a cake made to surprise my parents. We chose the Haupia with Lime buttercream and also got a dozen cupcakes (yellow cake with chocolate buttercream) for the kiddos. The cake and cupcakes were AMAZING!!!! Their customer service is incredible (especially since we were communicating through email) and pick up was a breeze. I highly recommend Ko Bakery!!!”

“Kawaii Kokoro Patisserie is absolutely amazing! Everything is delicious, but the cheesecakes—especially the Japanese cheesecake—are a standout. It’s so light and perfectly balanced, not too sweet. The profiteroles are incredible, and it’s impossible to pick a favorite flavor. Some of my other favorites include the lilikoi mousse cups, crème brûlée (both vanilla and Kona coffee—so good!), arare cookies, manju, and my newest obsession, the panna cotta! They also offer scones and a variety of cookies, all made with high-quality ingredients. We ordered ahead, and everything was beautifully packaged and ready when we arrived. The service was fantastic, and the owners and staff are genuinely kind and welcoming. If you’re looking for delicious, high-quality pastries and desserts, this place is a must-visit!”

“4.5 stars. Generously priced AND proper espresso? I’m impressed.

What I got: Iced caramel latte for $5.49. They were out of macnut syrup which was the only thing on my mind during our 10 hour flight. Quite disappointing, but I was still understanding about it. After all, $5.49 for perfectly pulled, beautifully roasted shots of espresso? Kinda hard to be upset for too long.

Atmosphere: The earth tones in here are beautiful. Simple, not boring. Clean, decent amount of seats/tables.

Service: The girl taking orders was pretty standard, but the lady making the drinks was very bubbly and had a pretty smile!”

“arrived at this bakery within a shopping plaza for the malasada with cinnamon sugar and the chiffon cake with guava and I would have to say tamalasada is similar to what you would imagine. a donut is like and fresh, but the chiffon cake is the one that stole the show because the guava syrup it comes with is surprisingly refreshing and it reminds me of a really good wedding cake”

“The food was exceptionally delicious and the choices were varied. There were six different preparations of poke. I chose spicy ahi and green onion ahi. Stellar range of flavors. The staff were friendly and very willing to explain the differences in preparation. Highly recommended!”

“I had been on island for a week and the day I leave I found this place. The food was amazing and felt like home cooked eating. The owner and staff were friendly and talked to us for quite some time about everything. They are genuinely some of the nicest people we’ve met on the island and must suggest this place to anyone and everyone that is coming to Kauai. Don’t make the same mistake we did, come on your first day and you won’t be disappointed.”

“My wife and I ordered vegetable fried rice and fried chicken. It was so much food we couldn't finish it all. It was so good that it still tasted good cold the next morning. “Local place for saimin. We had oxtail, which is only available Monday and Friday. However, it was very fatty and I would not recommend it. The beef on a stick was good, chicken on a stick not as good. The dessert (lilikoi chiffon pie) was like a lemon meringue pie and was good.”

“Didn’t get photos of the inside, but like most franchises it looks similar. This location feels cleaner than others I’ve been to, and the staff were very friendly. With prices so high these days, it’s great to have a place like Subway where you can load up on fresh veggies and ingredients. Tasty, affordable, and perfect for a quick meal — definitely recommend.”

“Stopped into Costco last night upon landing in Kauai to stock up for the week. We were informed by the checker that the food court and bakery are closed for renovation. We were still able to stock up on treasures in other departments. I thought I would pass the information along so future travelers can plan accordingly.”

The best customer service and so professional our order got sent to Honolulu because of the new app update and without any question she went ahead and just made our order anyway because we would’ve lost the order and had to pay double. This is the kind of customer service that should make someone a manager someday. We understand it was our fault, but she understands. It was a small order and it would suck to have to repay for it again, so she without any question took care of it for us.”

“Look, this is probably one of the greatest true to life Chinese American with that Hawaiian twist restaurants there is. They have all the makings of true greatness. The kid doing homework in the corner, the poor lighting at night, the bathroom is locked because of chronics and you have to ask for the key...but it is clean. There are large portions. Good food. General Tso's chicken is my personal favorite with da mac salad on the side. All the locals I met there were always cool, talk story, all that. This place reminds me of the Chinese joints of my childhood. It has an ambience that cannot be put into words, you just have to go there and get some food. I don't want anything off the steam tray line...nah, don't get that. Get the hamburger steak or plate lunch special. Buy a random piece of Dragon fruit. The ladies that run this place are real nice. I think it's my favorite Chinese restaurant I've ever been to in the entire world. Everything else just falls short.”

“I was informed by the staff that the white pineapple sought after in Hawaii is available July through mid-august and only yellow pineapples are available so she cut me some fresh pineapple from the fridge and it was pretty tasty and even if she had said this was white I would have agreed because it's a bit tailored to than the pineapples I'm used to. all in all not bad”
