I’d been looking forward to visiting this place for three days, and it was worth the wait. If you're exploring this part of the island, this spot is a must-visit. Just remember to plan your day around it, as they're only open from 11 am to 4 pm. You might want to skip breakfast so you can really enjoy your meal!

Easy to Find, Easy to Park

The restaurant is about a 16-minute drive from downtown Honolulu. While it's a bit tucked away, finding a parking spot is a breeze—they have a large parking lot, which is a big plus. The moment you walk in, you'll notice how incredibly clean it is. This instantly gives you peace of mind, especially since you’ll be enjoying fresh, raw ingredients.

Friendly and Helpful Service

The staff was great, and the cashier was very kind and patient with my questions. She was so dedicated to helping me that she asked her team for more details about the ingredients to make sure her answers were perfect.

The Food: Unforgettable Poke

I ordered a poke bowl for $16, which lets you choose two different types of poke. I went with the spicy ahi tuna with masago and the traditional Hawaiian poke. I also added some delicious toppings like seaweed salad, dried cod (Taegu), and pickled ginger for just $1 each—a deal that’s definitely worth it.
The portion size is huge, weighing over a pound, and the presentation was beautiful. The flavors were incredible—complex and layered. The seaweed brought a taste of the sea, the pickled ginger added a tangy kick, and the spicy tuna was perfect. The Taegu, a local dish with Korean roots, gave the bowl a savory, chewy texture that made it even better.

For a drink, I chose a local Hawaiian Sun juice. It’s a great option with natural flavors, but if you want to balance out the richness of the poke, a simple water works best.

The poke bowl here is one of the most flavorful and satisfying I've had on Oahu.

A Treat to End the Meal

I also tried the shave ice with mochi, vanilla ice cream, and condensed milk. While I found it a bit too sweet for my taste (which is pretty common for local desserts), the coconut banana flavor was amazing. The small size is big enough for two people, so consider sharing it. Even if you're not a shave ice expert, this is a great place to try it.

“We got takeout here. I got fish and chips and my boyfriend got the garlic shrimp. We got takeout to take with us on the beach to watch the fireworks on Friday night. It was amazing. They were really fresh, highlight for me was the fish and chips. They gave French fries but also sweet potato fries, which was an amazing touch.

Not sure about dining in… It is in an alleyway, so not the best views, but the workers looked like they kept everything clean, service was quick… And everyone was extremely extremely friendly. May try again, but dine in next time that we are around.“

“This one’s for my people — this place got it on lockdown. The fish is always fresh and served perfectly, every single time. Honestly, the only thing I wish for is a bigger poke bowl option — not gonna lie, I’m on the bigger side (Polynesian, you know what I’m sayin’ 😅). But the food? 10/10. Best there is, no doubt. “Stumbled upon this place when I was looking for poke nearby. Went to Foodland market like lots of people suggest but that one was not it! The man working at paradise poke was so nice, I got the Hawaiian bowl with had kalua pork 1 choice of poke and lomi salmon (which he advised me was just a tomato onion mix with little pieces of cooked salmon NOT a salmon poke) also we tried the shoyu ahi bowl and the ginger scallion ahi bowl. All the bowls were so good and fresh tasting we had poke here about 2 more times on our trip! I my husband and 2 kids loved this poke place! It's a decent amount of food for $15. The next times I got the bigger $18 bowl that you can choose two poke or just double up on one. Also got some cookies here The Cookie Lady Hawaii cornflake cookies! They're so crispy and delicious! I recommend coming here and if the small tables just outside the door are not sufficient there's an area just around the other side of the building where you can sit and eat! Must try!!!!“

I’m from Oahu and haven’t had a favorite poke spot besides places I’ve been on Big Island or Foodland, but this place is an easy favorite. “We decided to try the lunch special here and we were happy with what we got. For two people we had ordered more food than we could both eat but everything came out great. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. The only downside was the fact that they ran out of noodles for the beef brisket we ordered but the look fun was still just as good. Although we didn't have any wine they also stock a pretty big inventory of it at reasonable prices so if you're looking to share a bottle or have one for yourself you can do it without breaking the bank.
