“If you're looking for some roast pork, chicken or duck come here. It's a pick up and go place so don't expect a place to sit unless you find some outside in the plaza. If you're looking for simple, great tasting roasted meat on rice or crispy noodles this is the place. It's simple and delicious. The menu isn't extensive. Other than those roasted meats there's also ginger chicken that I particular love.
The cost of the food here is a great value as well. Each plate I got was enough to feed 2 or 3 people. I would recommend getting a mix of the meats and share. It was all good.“

“I LOVE THEIR CURRY STEW, HOT SPICY AND SO GOOD! YOU GET LOTS OF MEAT POTATOES AND CARROTS. REMINDS ME OF THE OLD ALAMOANA FOOD WAGON. THAT HAD LINES EVERYDAY, THIRTY YEARS AGO. I WAS SO HAPPY TO FIND THIS PLACE!“

“The Great Wall Chinese Restaurant was an unexpected find. We try to find non-touristy and local restaurants. It’s about 35 minutes from Honolulu. Annika (sp?) was a wonderful server. She answered all our questions, gave perfect suggestions and was very attentive. The food was delicious and had leftovers (we ordered a lot). We had crab rangoons & the soft won tons as appetizers. Pat ordered the General Tso’s Chicken Plate and half Roasted Duck, which he LOVED. I ordered the Pepper Garlic Pork Chop (DELICIOUS!!) and Hawaiian Fried Rice. I asked for sau-sau-an (sp? a type of Filipino vinegar garlic dipping sauce), which added to the taste of the pork. The Ube Ice Cream was a delicious surprise. The reason for the 4 stars for food is because the fried rice was a little overcooked. If we were staying longer, we would go to it a few more times. If you get a chance to go, you won’t be sorry.“

“The food was so good and really hit the spot. Husband ordered the black garlic oil tantan ramen and I had a combo meal of egg drop soup, gyoza, and chicken katsu curry rice. We especially loved the ramen because of how strong the garlic flavor is.
Service was great, it wasn't busy so we got seated immediately and after ordering the food came out pretty fast. The servers were nice and polite as well.“

“Had the chicken wings, calamari, popcorn chicken, crispy buns, and chicken noodle soup with beef, mushrooms, Bokchoy, and tofu. My soul was fed, and my heart was warm. ☺️ Everything Yoyo recommended was 10/10! She was patient, kind, and answered all of our questions about the menu. Give that woman a pay raise!:) Definitely going back to try the rest of the menu:)“

I was not disappointed. Good portions. Good taste. Fast and friendly service. This place has been here since the 20th century. A mainstay of pearl highlands.“

“I went on a Saturday afternoon and walked by. My first time at this place. There was no wait, the staff is friendly and the food was good. I went with a seafood soup and was not disappointed. The ramen had a portion size and the noodles were not included in the weight, and they had a wide variety of items to choose from. The free shaved ice at the end was delicious and surprisingly large & diverse. I will be back.“

“I ordered the black garlic ramen. The service was great, my food came out very quickly. It was delicious and full of flavor, very aromatic too. I could smell my dish coming out of the kitchen. Good price, only $15. Other noodle places in Hawaii charge around $20 for similar quality. Glad I came here for lunch. Will eat here again the next time I am om the area.“

“Absolutely the BEST customer service and the most delicious food I’ve ever had at any Panda Express location!
Every single time I come here, the team is consistently friendly, welcoming, and on point. You can feel the positive energy immediately—from the moment I walk in or even just call ahead. That kind of service is rare, and they truly set the standard.
And let’s talk about the food… it just hits different here. You can genuinely taste the care, effort, and pride they put into every dish. Even though it’s a franchise, this location stands out—it feels like they’re putting heart and soul into everything they serve.
Huge thank you to the entire team for always being kind, professional, and bringing such great vibes. You make every visit a great experience.
Highly recommend this Waipahu location if you want the REAL Panda Express experience! 🧡🥡“

“Typical Panda Express in a small strip of shops next to Walmart. Strip parking is usually available but walmart lot neighbors with lots of parking. Love the super greens option as a base. Kung pao chicken and broccoli beef are always great. It would be nice to get the brown rice back.“

“When Wah Kung closed at 99 Ranch I was disappointed because their food was always delicious. I saw Tiny Tadani on instagram posting about Wah Kung’s new location on Kalakaua Avenue. I just had to find out for myself if the food was still delicious. The food was excellent and Michael is still the owner with the same cook. You got to check this place out. You will not be disappointed. Specials all the time. Very reasonable, gives a lot of food and the food is sooo good. I’m definitely going back again even though I live down the west side. It’s worth it. 😋“

“:Good food that’s affordable & they’re always able to accommodate late orders for Party Packages I’ve ordered in the past and present. The best part is they’re open to making any changes or substitutions to their Party Packs from #A-E with the understanding that adjustments to price may apply if a change request cost more than the original pan in place.
My only suggestions to improvement at this restaurant would be 1. To renovate their place and expand their structure to accommodate a sit down and be served section & a separate area for orders to go & pickup order section. 2. That they include an option for delivery service with additional charges. I believe those charges would definitely top this place off to the top making it true to its name #1 Chinese Restaurant 💯“

“Always hit the spot. I tend to stay away from the rice it's not good to me, but the chow mein a great. Orange Chicken is usually cooked pretty recently, and beef broccoli is very good. Rangoon and spring rolls are as well. I stay away from the chicken teriyaki because the thighs always seem to have a weird texture, and the sauce sucks(just a Panda Express problem and just a personal preference)
They are always nice and give more generous portions than other locations usually.“
