From the Tuna Tartare appetizer, to the entrees of Carmelized Scallops and Shrimp and Grits, to the shot glass-sized Turtle Cheesecake and Oatmeal Cookie desserts, everything was delicious. And Valentyna, our server, did a great job taking care of us. It had been over a year since the last time we visited Seasons 52. We won't wait that long next time.“

“We enjoyed another great evening at Coopers Hawk Kildeer. We choose Coopers Hawk not only for their great drinks, food preparation and portions, but also because they have substantial Gluten-Free options and dedicated fryers so everyone can enjoy. They take allergy consciousness seriously. While Kyle our server was prompt, courteous, and engaging I have to say the entire staff gave us a feeling they truly appreciated our choice dining with them. Everyone we spoke with or even passed in the hallway smiled and made eye contact. The Pretzel bread (including Gluten-Free bread) along with appetizers (Calamari & Brussel Sprouts) were the perfect size for our party of five(5) to share. We enjoyed a variety of dishes (Chicken, Pretzel-Crusted Pork Chops, Spaghetti w/Meatballs, Gnocchi Alla Vodka, and Salad w/Chicken & Avocado), all delicious. Flourless cake and two other desserts were shared and delicious. Overall highly recommended as we have had consistent high quality food and service at this location.“

“Greetings my Foodzies, tonight we decided to try a restaurant that we have passed by numerous times. The great escape on Irving at 9540 w Irving Park rd. in Schiller Park.
This is a unique restaurant that has been around for years. The property has a rich history (see the picture I have posted with the story).
The restaurant’s bar area is very rustic with a bar that was hand carved in 1889, very impressive. TVs have been added to draw in a people who want to eat and have a drink while watching TV. Also a gaming section in the bar area.
Music is old school 50-60s, our server Mareen was pleasant, friendly and knowledgeable.
We started with Grilled Calamari it was grilled nicely but could have used a few more seconds to get a little more char flavor. It was also missing the signature balsamic. Glenda chose the Rigatoni in Vodka sauce with chicken; the chicken was scarce and the sauce was not the traditional sauce it had an odd flavor, not terrible but not what we expected. With a cup of lentil soup, tasty but needed a little extra salt. I chose the baby back ribs and broasted chicken (these dishes they are known for) the chicken was very good, crispy skin and very juicy. The ribs were tender but a little dry. The BBQ sauce was the recipe is the recipe of the owner’s grandfather. It was a Kansas City type sweet sauce with a nice smoky flavor (as a first time patron we were given a bottle to take home). I had the baked French onion soup topped with mozzarella, I’m used to Gruyere, Swiss, or Gouda but ut was very good.

“We held an 80 person event here and the coordinator Caryn was detailed, communicative and so nice! The waitstaff and bartenders, the food runners, and managers all helped to run a smooth luncheon, the busboy was attentive and kind! Everyone loved the event and the food and we already want to book again!“

“What a great meal and dining experience. This is the restaurant we’ve been looking for and will continue to support. Scallops DeJohnge appetizer & Baked French onion soup were delicious. The salad was fresh and crisp. Dinner entrees prime rib which was perfectly cooked. Ribs were another hit. Loved the carrots!! We didn’t have room for dessert but look forward the the rice pudding next time. We arrived at 5pm and seated immediately by the time we left the tables were full. Service was outstanding from begging to end.“

From out of town it's always nice trip add places to out lost to come back to return we visit Chicago.And you could tell her attitude was genuine and not just to get a tip. “Chef Jonathon Silver cooks a phenomenal meal to perfection! Everything was incredible from the tempura fried cauliflower, the wood grilled pear & vegetable salad, seafood bisque and to the perfectly grilled steaks. What an incredible meal.“

“The star of the show was the brick chicken. The only thing shinning brighter was my gal! Shhh, don't tell the bird. It was cooked and seasoned to perfection last night. Impressive, as the kitchen was on overdrive, due to the Easter/Passover holiday. Every tender bite was surrounded by a perfect crispy skin. Even, the littlest of appetites will want more! Again, similar to a Peking duck in ( Chicago )China town! The portion is enough to split. It's was accompanied by delicately seasoned spinach. Thank you for a wonderful meal! “We had a 30th high school reunion meet up at the Caldwell Grille last night. Mayra and Bridget were awesome with our group the whole evening. They were very accommodating for our group that kept expanding, friendly, and professional. The food and drinks were also great.“

“Great place for private event“

“The good, the bad and the ugly. Let's start with the good. The food was good - everything from the sausage and peppers to the fried calamari to the veal piccata was all very tasty. The 8-finger cavatelli arrabiata was a bit bland. Also good was the size of the credit ($62) our party of four was given because of our experience. Now to the bad: I've heard of bread being provided only on request, but how about asking us if we wanted any? And then when we asked about it, we learned that we separately had to ask for olive oil or butter, which is why neither was provided. Also bad was the manager we finally flagged down when our waitress appeared to have joined the Witness Protection Program. He never apologized nor checked back with us, but, on the positive side, he must have been the one who comped our appetizers. Now, the ugly. Our waitress (whose name we didn't catch - something “ana” - Eastern European) was terrible. Yes, we were seated in what was obviously an overflow room and we were her only table there but she actively ignored us. We had to ask for water - twice. A member of our party drinks a lot of Diet Coke and had to repeatedly ask for refills. Even after we complained, we received no apology, no improvement in service, etc. It's a shame because the food was good.“

“Had a nice lunch here the Friday before Christmas. The place was crowded but not a long wait at 1pm. I had the seared tuna salad and thought that $27 for just this salad was pricey for the about of tuna that was in the salad. The salads are very good, but that one is a bit overpriced.“

Because of that, I have started getting food to-go from here whenever I can. Be it through DD or in person ordering, they get it right EVERY time which sadly can’t be said very often anymore. Everyone is super helpful and courteous too. Only great things to say all around and I hope you guys keep up the great work you’re doing! :)“

“Met up with family for weekend breakfast. The food was amazing and the portions larger than expected. The restaurant is beautiful, plenty of parking even with events going on at the hotel. The only downside is that it appears they really want you to choose buffet instead of ordering off the menu on the weekends, service was extremely slow. We will be returning on future visits -did I mention that the food was amazing.....“

“Chefs deserve some props here. We have been comimg been for years. Cheeseburgers are delicious. Served on a potato bun which is even better. Cheese sauce is so good. Onion rings are tasty. Fresh cut veggies including jalapenos. Average milkshakes if your are looking for one. Quick and friendly service. Worth it. Thank you chefs for making the casino experience more worth it!“

“Wow! What a special place. Don’t think twice just go. We never expected this at an airport hotel. This is a historic pace - a piano bar and restaurant. Talented musicians and singers, entertainers to the max. The audience is from all over the world and the musicians play music from all those places, sing in multiple languages, are super friendly. You feel like you’re with old friends. The food is quite good too. We will be back!!“
