I ordered the Guatemalan breakfast, which I thought could have come with larger portions of the beans and plantains given the cost. My wife ordered the brisket bowl special and that came with an appropriate, healthy amount of food for the price. The winning order is the beef cheek empanadas with bone marrow. It’s like a beef patty but fattier and way more rich flavor. That’s a 10/10 given it’s only $5. We will certainly come back for the happy hour special (empanadas $3.50 + $8 margs).“

“I don't know if it's the lack of good Mexican food in Hawaii, but this place was fantastic! It definitely hit the spot. I wouldn't think that Chicago has good Mexican food, being pretty far from Mexico, but it really does. Shows what I know. We got a total of four burritos, three tacos, two chips and salsa, and pico de gallo, and four large horchata. I'm pretty sure there is something that I left out but all of that only cost me $70. That was a fantastic deal. We called the head to order most of these items and when I got there I couldn't help but ordered a few more things. There were also specials of the day. I wish I'd seen that before ordering more stuff but either way it was worth it. Hopefully I get a chance to come back before I have to go back to Hawaii.

I was hesitant but one of the chefs was explaining the Sonoran hot dog, and I️ couldn’t resist, it was amazing. They recently launched their brunch menu too and they have a lot of great selections and the pastries are incredible“

“Found Nin's outside the Garfield Conservatory around lunchtime. My pastor burrito was cooked to order on the spot; the spices were well blended and the sauces included were slightly spicy with a nice complexity of flavor. The pastor had some chewy pieces, but seemed authentic and tasted great. It was fresh and not overly greasy. Each aspect of the burrito was thought out, from toasting the tortilla to balancing the onion and cilantro flavors. I would go back, especially since I didn't notice the handwritten sign adding green tamales and birria to the menu until I'd already ordered. If they're as lovingly handcrafted as the burrito, they'll be delicious too.
