Between the food and the service I couldn't tell you which was better. We tried the Donkatsu and Curry Donkatsu, both were phenomenal. Best egg rolls I have ever had and the tteok fries were really great too! For dessert we tried the Hoi-Hoi and Yakgwa which were amazing!“

“We have been going to Gentelin's for about 10 years and the food is consistently excellent. My wife and I were there last night and we both had the filet mignon. I also ordered a crab stuffed portabella mushroom to complement my steak. Talk about YUM! Ryan is the owner and chef, and he takes personal ownership in maintaining the outstanding quality of the food. He also has a special talent of bringing together the right ingredients to make each menu item wonderful. A recent example is the Crabmeat Stuffed Chicken - to die for! The salads are also very good and they offer a $5.00 appetizer from time to time, last night's was Philly Cheesesteak wontons, yummy and very creative! The food always comes out in a timely manner and is always the right temperature. They also have a very good beer, wine, and drink selection too. Ryan has assembled a GREAT team and Beth is our regular server. She is outstanding, professional, and very attentive to our needs. We have had other servers when Beth isn't there and they too are top notch. The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the Mississippi river for added ambience. “It's been a number of years since we've been here and I don't know why. It is delicious from the service to the meal everything was perfect. The bread was amazing. The toasted ravs were delicious. I had the tutto mare, it was the best I've ever had, full of shrimp, crabs, clams, the sauce was divine, simply amazing. “It was Tuesday, so I had to have tacos. My favorite taco recently has been shrimp. Most of the places I frequent, add large grilled tacos. I was surprised to see small shrimp bites here at Casa Romero. They may have been small, but the flavor was still huge and enjoyable. I'd order them again.When I arrived, I was pleasantly greeted and told I could sit any where I wanted. I chose a booth and was quickly served complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were crisp and warm, which tells me they were super fresh. The salsa had just enough spice and was thick enough to cling to the chip when dipping.Before my entree, I also enjoyed a Top Shelf Margarita and an order of Bean Dip. The Margarita was strong. It was strong enough that I only had one and I typically enjoy two. An order of Bean Dip for me is much more enjoyable than a side of Cheese Dip or Guacamole. The mixture of white cheese and refried beans, doubles the flavor.The ambiance is your typical, bright Mexican colors and sorta tacky decor. For my own personal preference, I could dim the lights a tad. It was extremely bright and the white ceiling lights are a little overpowering.“

“Being new to town we wanted to try out this restaurant. Taking sympathy on us they let us order inside and gave us a complimentary appetizer while we waited. The young lady that waited on us was very polite and friendly and seemed well versed on the menu. We found the food tasty and well portioned meals. Pricing seemed very competitive as well.“

“First time going to Bann Thai this evening. I was really craving Kang Karee Curry and hoped they would have a good one. Was not disappointed!! By far the best yellow curry in the edwardsville area. My son had the general tso's chicken. For an appetizer we tried the Shumai dumplings. Every thing we ordered was amazing but even better was the service. Our server Melanie was so sweet and made us laugh. So thank you not only for the best thai food I have had in years but for your amazing personality and service. We will be coming back soon and if your lucky enough to go on a night they have thai donuts they are a 10 out of 10. They have a wonderful kids menu with a lot of pinball machines!! We had such a good time! Coffee was good, had regular creamer, need to add French Vanilla. Service was excellent, waitress was attentive to our table and friendly. Several of us breakfast out every Wednesday and we will be adding Sargent Peppers as a regular stop.“
