“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nando Milano in Champaign was an absolute dream to work with for our rehearsal dinner! From the very start, Nando was incredible—timely, professional, and so easy to communicate with. They worked closely with us to curate a perfect menu of appetizers, salads, pastas, meat entrées, and desserts that fit both our taste and our party size. The food was absolutely incredible—our friends and family raved all night! The family-style service made the evening feel warm, personal, and exactly how a rehearsal dinner should feel as we brought two families together. The service was fantastic, and everyone we worked with was so kind and accommodating. I was able to drop off menus, place cards, and signage beforehand, and they gladly set everything up, making the tables look beautiful. I honestly wish I had photos of all the stunning food and the gorgeous table setup, but our guests (and myself!) were having such a wonderful time that no one was on their phones during dinner—a true sign that we were fully enjoying the moment. Even when we had to switch from our original outdoor seating plan to indoors, they seamlessly accommodated us without any stress. If you’re looking for a restaurant space that offers true elegance, phenomenal service, and unforgettable food for any special occasion—rehearsals, graduations, birthdays—you can’t go wrong with Nando Milano. “This place does not ask for tips. Great food served super fast, and NO TIPS at all is just so nice and so rare these days. I wouldn't mind paying more for such a business that tries to make customers happy and comfortable instead of begging for extra coins all the time.“

In this post they suggested other area restaurants for customers to visit for breakfast. There are not many places i know that would do this! Kudos to them! “Absolutely awesome food you can find around here. It's like homemade cuisine—fresh, well-seasoned, juicy, tender, and served with delicious sides and stews. Words can't describe how good the hummus is: creamy, fresh, and of high quality. You have to try this place. You may have to stand in a long queue between 10:30 am and 2 pm since only one unique man does all the work. His face is serious, but he is kind and generously offers extra food and fruit on the side. The portions are even enough for two people, and the sandwiches are a specialty here. I've never had such amazing sandwiches anywhere else. Give it a try, and you will be addicted to food.“

“This is one of my go-to places to eat when I really don't feel like cooking. They have so many options available for tofu and vegetable dishes. You only need to specify vegan (no fish/oyster sauce) when ordering and everything should be good! It is pretty affordable for the portions, so I have ordered food from here on multiple occasions. My favorite dishes are the Kung pao tofu and the tofu with broccoli.“

“Some of the best Midwest sushi available. I am really picky about tuna because I lived in Aomori Japan and I really enjoyed their tuna. The takoyaki is also authentic and very tasty. All of the staff is really lovely. It is a small space, but quite cozy. I miss their previous location, but everything here is just as good. Highly recommend“

“I love Pokè. Maybe that should be my review and that's enough lol It was so so good. I mean absolutely delicious! Comes with a miso soup and that totally hit the spot. You go in and fill out what you want, then you bring it to the cashier to pay. 8 mins later, your food is ready. Super fast, super delicious and enough seating for my family of 4 with plenty of booths left. Portion was a bit on the smaller side. I wish they would give just a tad bit more rice. Not even the ingredients, just a bit more rice because we were still kinda hungry after the entire meal with the soup. Overall, pretty damn good but not enough for dinner and I don't even eat alot.“

I recommend the tofu or bulgogi and suggest adding egg! It’s worth noting that we accidentally arrived just 15 minutes before closing because we were unaware of their summer hours and they graciously took our order anyway. “Great food, great music, great owner, great staff, great bartenders. I love this place and I had some of my best memories here. I think the owner is a very nice and smart guy and that’s one of the reasons why this place has it all. If you wanna party, they have a huge space in the back with big mirrors (if anyone claims to have a dance bar and they don’t have mirrors there, they don’t know the business at all) and great DJs and light and music. OMG I’ve been to some of the fanciest bars in California but none of them can beat my experience from Joe’s. Totally worth the time (to stay in the line) and money (cover fee and drinks).“

“The food was delicious once we received what we all ordered. We had a good time and joked about our friend getting an impromptu ice bath challenge when the waiter dumped ice water in his lap.
Unfortunately, the app will only let you reserve for up to 6 people ahead of time. So, our group of 8 had to call ahead to be put on the waitlist. It's not a huge deal. It wasn't that big of a deal, just something to be aware of.
As for parking- a semi or RV can not park there. The parking lot was just too small to fit a large vehicle like that.“

“I am rating this in comparison to other college town food places as it is impossible for me to rate in comparison to what im used to in New York. Good food considering that this is a college town and friendly service too. It’s a good place to meet up with fellow students. Make sure to bring wet wipes as the tables and chairs are sticky, which is expected in a college town.“
