“Suffron Cafe is a great option for tasty Mediterranean food in Chicago. The place doesn’t have much seating inside, but they’ve added a couple of tables outside, which definitely helps when the weather allows it.

We sat outside and had the gyro plate, beef kabob plate, and dolmas (stuffed grape leaves). Both plates came with generous portions, and everything was very tasty. The meat was flavorful, and the rice, hummus and salad made for a very filling meal. The dolmas were also a nice addition to share.

Even though we ordered at the counter, the food was brought out to our table. Good food, generous portions and friendly service. Definitely a good spot if you’re looking for Mediterranean food in the area.“

“I was in the neighborhood and made it just in time for their lunch special, between 11-1pm. I had the cashew chicken with a spring roll to start, and a Thai Ice tea. The server asked how spicy I wanted it and gave a choice between 1-5, I chose 4, but when it came out they had forgotten to add it, so he quickly took it back to add it. It was a chopped up Thai chili and the dish was delicious and fresh tasting. Can't wait to go back and try a different dish.“

“This little shop is the perfect addition to west town! It’s very modern but cozy inside with a 4-5 tables. I’ve been a few times for both dine in and takeout. The staff is super friendly with great suggestions and happy to make modifications. In the morning I’ll get a banana fosters latte but half sweet which is just perfect. It’s got a lovely banana cinnamon mix. For lunch I’ll get the shawarma salad with chicken, the rice in a nice touch that makes this feel more like a meal than just a salad. “Its a been a while since Ive been at an Olive Garden. The service was great: patient and efficient. I had the shrimp scampi lunch portion that came with a soup - it was the perfect size & tasted good. Also had the Sicilian Cheesecake; not gourmet but good.

The manager came out to greet us near the end of the meal. He asked about our food and service & offered to take away our empty plates. He then gave us a card with a QR code to scan and provide feedback. He also flipped the small screen around, so we assumed he was encouraging us to use it to order dessert and pay? “This restaurant is tucked in a massive, mostly empty building near an Asian grocery store. It gives the vibes of Beijing post 2008 Paralympics when all of a sudden no one made things look good for westerners. It’s cash only.

Despite appearances, this is the most authentic Chinese food I’ve had since I was in China in college! My husband and I went back multiple times while we were in town. It was great each time. They have an extensive menu so given that it’s not a bustling place, I’m not sure if the more eclectic dishes are super fresh. But again, you’re getting authentic cuisine and that’s sometimes part of it!

The jiao zi are amazing! The portion sizes are great for the price. You can’t get them in this amount or for the cost anywhere else in the Hinsdale or Oakbrook Terrace areas. Definitely recommend!

Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian option for potstickers, dumplings, 2 tofu dishes, and sautéed mixed veggies. They may be able to make other vegetation dishes upon request.

Parking: Parking in front of the restaurant is full up front but the lot itself is quite large. We did not struggle to find a place to park

Kid-friendliness: The building is a wide open floor plan with tables to accommodate families & groups. If a toddler needed to run, there’s lots of space to do that away from others eating. The bathroom, however, would pose a challenge for diaper changes. This building is so massive though that a nursing mom or a diaper changing dad could tuck away in one of the corners and have more privacy than a changing table in a multi stall bathroom. It’s dimly lit on the outer room edges away from the restaurants.

Wheelchair accessibility: It’s all one floor. There are double doors to go through that may not have an operational hands-free opener. The floor layout has multiple tables with chairs and a free wider, open sections to get to the restaurant counter to order“

“Great customer service at this location, only my second time I've visited this particular one, but I'll have to make it a point to stop by more often. The crew gave me a very welcoming vibe. Plus you can't go wrong with the King Roast Beef Hot, with everything, plus chips. Has been my go to ever since I was a child. That was a long time ago! 😅“
