“This restaurant is really outstanding and really great for the image of Evanston's southern end. The food is fantastic and I very much enjoy everything from the Bacon Temptation Omelette to the Spicy Poblano Omelette to the Crispy Chicken Sandwich to the Cowboy Burger. All of the food is fabulous and very well prepared, the variety is wonderful, and the coffee is always fresh. And above all, Ivan and the waitstaff provide customer service that's 'above and beyond' in every way. They're very kind, compassionate, efficient, and accomodating to everybody who comes into the establishment. Keep up the great work!“

“I had passed by here and wondered about it on my way to the gym a lot. Finally my husband and I went. Now we won’t stop going. The food is really good. The coffee drinks are great. The service is great. It’s a very unassuming and solid breakfast spot that doesn’t break the bank. We love it.“

“I cannot put into words how wonderful, hospitable and welcoming this place is. I was welcomed in by the owner Samantha, young respectful young lady, she took my order she made me feel at home. I felt as though I was eating brunch at my Abuelita’s home. Thank you Samantha and family for the warm welcome- the red chilaquiles and cafe de olla we’re phenomenal and I will be sure to be back with my babies and husband! I mentioned to Samantha I was treating myself for my birthday and she brought out a cinnamon role with a candle meant the world to me!“

“I just love this little restaurant!! I have breakfast there at least once every time I visit family in Avondale. It’s cute, it’s clean and the staff are so friendly and inviting. The food never disappoints. Several options of eggs Benedict, French toasts, the whole lot. The omelets are huge. The staples are all just as tasty too. And the food cooks up fast. Today I had the house salmon eggs Benedict and it’s just a tasty as the first time I had it.Marlene was my waitress and she was just so kind and never let me water get below half full. “We just happened to catch the name Carabella on our way from doing some errands and decided to come back and visit the restaurant. “I was a steady customer but will not be returning to this establishment again. Today I asked to sit in a booth and James, the owner said "We're too busy to sit one person in a "big" booth. (I was the only one waiting for a table.) So the waitress wanted me to sit at a table. The "big" booth seats 4. The table they wanted me to sit at also seats 4. The only difference is the booth doesn't hurt my back like the hard chairs do. I'm dying of cancer, which James is aware of, I have enough pain I don't need any more by sitting on hard chairs. Well he won't have to worry about being so "busy" to let someone have some comfort he's got one less patron. I'm done with this place.“

“We stumbled upon Flying Saucer while visiting Chicago and are glad we did. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is fun with nice indoor and outdoor seating options. “Food: I got a Gyro for the first time and it was good but was a lot of the same flavor, not much variance since the meat is all ground up. Probably just not for me personally. Pizza looked really good!
Service: the cashier we had was awesome and helped with recommendations for someone who has never been to Chicago or had Chicago food.

“This place is such a gem!!! Turkey egg and cheese croissant is always great. Best almond croissant i've ever had. My bf loves the nutella croissant. The strawberry iced latte, also best latte i've ever had. My bf and I go all around Chicago trying the brunch and breakfast spots and this one is one of our favorites. The bagel with the slotted cream cheese! So garlicy and delicious. Seriously give this place a try. It's amazing.“
